The Mega Man series defines that perfectly. ...Really? Up until The Megas I just kind of thought of them as boring bosses.

And to all those who are hoping for a remake of the Gen 2 P.Mon games, we have more possible hinting evidence:
Also set to appear in the movie are the Johto starter Pokémon: Chikorita, Cyndaquil and Totodile. Their roles are not known as of yet, but they have been shown alongside Notched-ear Pichu and opposite of Heatran. Speculation has begun as to their foreshadowing a potential remake of Gold and Silver to be released later this year.

HOW DO YOU BEAT THAT I couldn't believe Ruby and Sapphire only had one region. If we do get GS remakes, I want to get a Charmander as soon as I can to use as my "starter."
