Akimbo Streamjumper Did my card make it there in time for him to see it? It did! I meant to thank you along with Rachel, Marni, and Kimi for the cards. I laughed about it and he looked scared. I'll be sending out everything once Christmas is over and I get my bills paid. Good... good...
Luna's family did their Christmas today since her Sister, Brother-in-law, and their daughters (the only children on that side of things, and thus the center of Christmas) are leaving tomorrow or Monday to head down to Myrtle Beach to do Christmas with his father. It was fun as usual. Luna and I gave the cat, Bob, (who has been a bit miserable since the girls were born) a mouse that I had marinated in a bag of good catnip for a few hours and a bit of extra 'n**... and he loved it. Not only did he enjoy getting lit out of his mind, but Luna's mom and dad seemed quite entertained by his crack-fiend antics.
The nieces loved their books and My Little Ponies that we gave them, her family enjoyed our other gifts, and I gave Luna one of the three gifts I got her. What she was dead convinced was the Shura no Toki collection turned out to be the also enjoyed Avatar second season collection, and I got the perennial collection of what they call "weird beers".
They usually give me a 4 pack of Unibrou beers (******** awesome Quebecois beers that get a second fermentation in the bottle for an 8% content and ******** incredible taste... this time they were La Maudite) and the yearly experimental beer. This time it was Dead Man's Brew, a malty, hoppy ******** that not only doesn't apologize, but kicks you in the tonsils and demands respect lest it find you in a dark place and kick the s**t out of you.
And we got a Play & Freeze Ice Cream Maker... a 1 pint ice cream maker that is a plastic ball. You fill the opening on one side with ice and rock salt, and the other end with milk or cream and flavorings, seal it up, and shake/roll it for a while. It isn't meant to throw, kick, or drop, but I suspect it might be bouyant enough to float and roll in a swimming pool. After about 30 minutes or so you can crack it open to get the freshly made ice cream... The way I see it is that I'll be able to enslave my nephew come snacktime.

I've gotten Kane's, Keys's, Rachel's, and Mala's <33333 We got yours and Mala's Thursday. Both were great and we had a real chuckle at Mala's rambling and brain-frothing.

Granted, a few Kahlua beverages, contact with her nieces, a chance to watch our cats freak out with their new catnip toy (a toy a day for them until Christmas), and a great meal probably had a bit to do with calming her. And I'm certain that knowing that you're concerned will help further.
