Because I was First Chair in All-state out of 5,000 and I played my trumpet so I think I would know dontcha think oh really?i call BS in a different thread you posted saying 3000, which is still BS a band with more than 3000 members must have had SOMEONE film it. show us that film and i'll believe you, otherwise you're just a stupid little kid who wants others to think you're good at something, when really, you're probably 3rd or 4rth chair in your highschool band class also, being first chair in a band of ANY size DOES NOT mean you have knowledge about every instrument that could possibly pertain to yours. it just means that you play YOUR instrument better than the others who auditioned. so, no, even if you ARE first chair, i don't think you would know. Never said I was in a High School band and I WENT TO ALL-STATE!!!!! Which had 2 groups 3,000 students and 5,000 students I chose both ALL-STATE IS WHERE THE BEST TRUMPETS OUT OF THE STATE GO AND COMPETE BRAINIAC well, at least you acknowledge my intellectual superiority. and even if it is "all-state", where i live, all-state is a lot more selective than that. they wouldn't let "5000" trumpets in. the only possible reason i could think of 5000 people getting in to any all-state band was if everyone who tried out got in. btw: "all-state" events are usually for high school students. if you are passed high school, it's nothing to be proud of to be better than high schoolers. if you're not in high school YET, then you're full of BS.

Sorry to cut into this fine little argument, but it was at then end of the thread and I had to start somewhere. I just joined the guild, and was wondering if someone could kind of show me around the site a little. I am going to be a sophomore at College and I am currently 1st chair of our wind symphony. I think I have a fair amount of experience in band. I started in 5th grade and was in third chair or higher throughout my career.

I started in 5th grade and was in third chair or higher throughout my career. lol there's really not much to show you...and don't worry about cutting into my arguments razz their usually not important. umm...the site is pretty easy to follow...the "community" button is where you'd go to interact with people...you know..guilds, forums, marketplace...etc...games is where you'd go to play games :p..rally is sort of like an IM...you can go join people's rooms and chat with people...or you can "race" them with your car...i'm not a big fan of racing..but you can try it out if you want...and really o.O you could figure out the rest i'm sure razz oh yeah...quick FYI...the musicians forum(not our guild) is located in the artists corner/artists discussion/musician discussion smile

iiCaptain Hitsugaya cIochach iiCaptain Hitsugaya cIochach iiCaptain Hitsugaya cIochach look up bass trumpet on wikipedia it's similar to a valve trombone Well duh a Valved trombone is just like a trumpet just a really big version if you look at a oicture of it then they do look very much alike except it has a slide and a flared and bigger bell THAT is the only Difference but I am learning clarinet and trombone now I wasn't talking about their physical appearance when I said they are similar, they don't look anything alike. when I said that I meant that they sounded similar and have the same rang. I'm also pretty sure they're fingered the same Yea they probably have a different sound but w/e no they sound the same because they have about the same amount of tubing, same rang, and same mouth pieces I think I would know Dx you can't say "they probably have a different sound" and then "i think i would know" that by itself proves that you're lying

You should use your mouthpiece cleaner, and your "snake", the black pipe that cleans your trumpet.
I have one trumpet. I play on a 5c. I'm about to get my 3c!! I'm sooooo happy that I'm finally moving up in terms of mouthpieces! blaugh blaugh heart
