It's called the Painted Bat! Unlike fruit bats, this little guy has small eyes, big ears, is very small, and probably eats insects. These are the bats that use sonar, that is echolocation, to find food. =3
wow he is cute too....we have bats that fly around here at night too...alot of people a afraid of them but all they are doing is eating bugs and mosquitoes...so they are helpful to have around.....

yeah people are afraid of what they don't really understand....we live outside the city so we see all kinds of wild animals even in these neighborhoods....we have been having sandhill cranes coming into our block and yard last week....I wish i was here to see them....

we live in a suburban area...I got to see them the day before we left again...they are sooo big and pretty....my hubbies cat just caught another flying squirrel and let it loose in the house in his room....now my other daughter has to catch it....
