Being out in the sunlight, your Ring has no issues gathering light quickly. Shitai'ei creates a construct out of light. It looks like a bear.
"Attack it," she says.

I spend some time simply focusing on the light and trying to get a feel for what it is like, paying attention to the details of its properties.
