Kaya nodded lightly as he sat down across from the man and smiled at him. He was rather handsome but he didn't see anyone wanting anything to do with him. "Let me get you something." he offered quietly and waved over the girl called Merideth once again. He whispered into her ear and she ran off with a wink and quickly brought something back over.
She sat a tray on the table with assorted treats that went nicely with tea and some Jasmine tea for Jin."Here ya go hun. Compliments of this sweet young man right here." she said, motioning to Kaya as she handed Jin a yellow rose, which was normally a red one reserved for special occasions and there usual couples night.

Jin smiled and gently took the yellow rose. "Wow, thank you." he said. He picked up the cup of tea and took a sip. "What a nice boy." he said softly. "My name is Jin Izuna, by the way. What's yours?"
He looked down at the assorted treats and picked one up, eating it slowly, savoring the flavor. What an unexpected surprise. Walk into a random building and get treated to hot tea and assorted treats with a rose. This was definitely something that didn't happen a lot...especially to Jin.

"My name's Kaya. But you can call me Raven. All my friends do." he said, though it wasn't entirely true. His friends would call him Raven if he had any to speak of. He offered a hand to Jin as a greeting of sorts."It's nice to meet you Jin." he said happily. The soft feminine voice seemed to fit the younger boy so much better than a masculine voice ever would, especially with his choice of dress.
The corner of his black shirt rose up a bit and the red tribal heart on the right side of his stomach showed. Merideth had once asked him where he got such a nice temp tat and sure got a story to remember.

"Nice to meet you Raven." Jin said, shaking Kaya's hand. "So, how does a young man like yourself get money to spare on strangers?" he asked in his usual smooth, yet, somewhat low voice. He used his left hand to get some of his long, silky black hair out of his face before taking another sip of jasmine tea.

"I have a good job." he mumbled. He always hated this subject, people always seemed to think he meant that he sold his body for some reason. They thought he was a prostitute and offered to take him away from that life that wasn't his either way."I just save up what I can and try not to spent too much." he finished with a soft smile. The headband he was wearing had slipped down over his eyes and he adjusted it back onto his forehead to reveal his mismatched eyes.
He took a scone from the tray of treats Merideth had brought over to them and bit into it. After he'd swallowed it, he wiped his mouth and took a sip of his chamomile tea. "I come here all the time. Deth over there is probably closer to a sister than a friend by now. "And Beau's like a big brother to me. They keep trying to make me come and live with them but...I can't do that. I need to keep my burden to myself and not make anyone else have to deal with my fights." he said, more talking to himself than Jin, as he laid his left hand upon the currently covered tattoo on his right bicep.

Jin leaned forward in his seat. "Fights?" he asked. "Figuratively speaking? Or do you mean actual fights?" He put down his teacup, waiting for an answer. Kaya seemed to be quite interesting.

"A little of both." Kaya answered. He'd been attacked several times as Royal and he'd been attacked several times as himself for being himself, not just anthro but gay as well."I'm defending myself from the harshness of living alone sometimes, and sometimes I'm fighting my own memories, and then there are other times when I'm defending myself from people who just wanna pick a fight with me." he told Jin, though he was smiling as he said it. There wasn't much that could take that smile away from him and mostly everything could disappear if he wanted it to.
He took another sip of his tea, his raised arm lifting the bottom hem of his short once again to show off his red tribal heart.

Another morning's grueling chores had led Ea, yet again, towards an ill disposition. Penn had been worse than usual that morning, having awoken with a cold that caused his usual morning face to sour ever the more with coupled pain and displeasure. Nothing Ea had done was good enough and for all the criticism the younger of the brothers received, Penn might as well have done it himself for all the good it did Ea to have to repeat such small, mundane things over and over and over until he finally got it as good as Penn though he could get it. Of course, Penn was hardly ever happy with anything Ea did, but this time he was being exceptionally persnickity.
Penn had collapsed into bed, though his extended time of being both verticle and verbal to allow himself to nag Ea endlessly taking a deffinate toll on the auburn-haired man. He was sleeping soundly now, put out with some quite strong medicine. And, finally, Ea could begin his own agenda. He had several... things he wanted to take care of -- including that strange little orange-haired boy. The cat. He really wanted to... do something. Make Penn, ever so slowly and painfully, realise just what Liao was. He knew his brother would never be able to stand that the source of his adoration was.... like Ea. A grim smile pressed firmly on his lips, the bleach-haired teen retraced his steps of several days before to the place that in which kitten was currently residing -- that stupid snake man's appartment. Stupid, too tall, and deffinately not at all insteristing snake. With that, his lips turned down into a slow scowl. He was standing idly in front of the man's door, hands kept by his sides. Then, ever so slowly, he raised one curled fist to wrap his knuckles several times on the wooden door.

[[I was going to do homework but I realized I'd rather procrastinate. :9 -shot at- I've had all my priorities screwed up today.]]
Wei watched with a bored expression as Benji doted on the damp kitten. God, the bird could be so disgustingly maternal sometimes. The snake figured that it only came off as being maternal because Wei was so very different from Benji. The love bird just had a passion for making people feel better, and helping animals, and strays, and all that jazz. Wei figured that's why the bird had been so 'let's uphold my promise' to Haro, which was so stupid because the dumb a** had promised to help him way before he had promised not to hurt Haro. With a half frown, the snake set his dish down in the sink, green eyes narrowing as a knock sounded on his apartment door.
"I swear to God if that's Chang trying to get a free meal because Vi locked him I'll kill him," he hissed as he opened the door with a sour expression. Looking the mongoose over several times, the snake visibly seethed as he realized just what was in front of him. "No weasels allowed," he spat venomously.

Ea returned the other's glare just as intensely. "I'm not a weasle, Scale Face," he replied vehemently. "And I didn't come to see you, anyway. I need to talk to the kitten," he said, trying to peer around the other's shoulder to catch a glimpse of the orange-haired tabby -- which was rather impossible to do because Ea was quite a bit shorter than Wei was. "And I'm not gonna cart him off to go see... Penn, either," he said, his expression visibly souring at the mention of his brother's name. "The stupid man got sick so I'm free for today, so I thought I'd come talk to him since it seems like he's gonna need help," he muttered, his black eyes darting from the other's emerald gaze and back past him to where he knew Liao was -- he could smell him.
He wanted to... so badly he wanted to dig his claws into the other's scaly flesh and bite his head off. That would be almost more enjoyable than doing the same to Penn. It was a primal satisfaction that he was having to battle with and the inner turmoil showed quite easily on his features. He wasn't one for hiding his expressions, though it wasn't as if he needed to as they all tended to be various degrees of scowling.
"'Cuz, you know, Penn's a frieking b*****d when it comes to that kid and I don't want him to find out what Liao is. He knows about me, of course, but he'd probably go crazy if he found out about that kid."

"Yeah, well, you smell like one." Quite contrary, the mongoose smelled nothing like a weasel--didn't have that stinking scent to him-- the snake merely made the comment to be insulting. Shooting a questioning look at the kitten, Wei scowled, gathering from what little Liao had told him and Ea's comment that indeed Penn was a manipulative, creepy b*****d. Wei usually liked that sort of person, they were so much like himself that he found something close to comfort knowing he wasn't the only one. Unfortunately for the musician, Wei found no pleasure in realizing how he had treated Liao.
Grip tightening on the handle, Wei begrudgingly opened the door enough for the mongoose to slide past him. Pupils narrowing against sharp emerald eyes, the snake hoped he wouldn't be tempted to haul off and poison the somewhat innocent teen. "What exactly is going on between you," he pointed towards Liao, his gaze still very animalistic, "And that teacher of your's?" He asked, expecting a clear answer.

"Do not," Ea replied, knowing very well what weasles smelled like and that he most deffiantely did not have that particular... fragrence, thanfully enough. Ea's black eyes strayed up towards the older male's face, watching his expression change in such the slightest ways. He was some sort of b*****d, but he seemed to have a soft spot for Liao. So he was probably a pediphile like Penn, or something -- or, at the very least, the snake was simply overprotective of the kitten for some... strange warp in nature. Who had ever heard of a snake taking care of a kitten?
He grinned slightly as he passed the man, resisting the very stong urge to just bite him. He really wanted to do just that -- dig his own sharpened teeth into the man's neck til he bled. He could tell that Wei was thinking along similar lines as well by the way his eyes had narrowed to near slits.
Liao glanced up as Wei's sharp words cut through Benji's overly doting, mother-like voice. "Huh? Oh... he's my music teacher," he replied levelly. Sure, they had gone on a "date" yesterday, but... that was only because Penn was engaged to some lady he obviously did not care for -- so Liao was a way to prevent an unchoice marriage. Though he didn't like being used, he didn't exactly object, either -- after all, he had experienced very well the outcome of an unwanted marriage because he was one. He didn't want anything like his life to ever be repeated ever again and, so long as Penn didn't try to do anything stupid with him, like being all sappy and romantic and crap, Liao didn't much mind. "Why do you ask?"

[[Oh Ea, you have Wei's personality down to a science. Ohohohopedo!Wei. I don't think he's much of a ***** anymore...oh well. He's still a b*****d. :<]]
"I realize that, Kitten," he said in an annoyed tone. "I'm asking what the hell he wants with you," he muttered, closing the door behind the weasel-rat-gross piece of s**t-thing. "Stinky here just said he'd have to warn you about a few things concerning your teacher and I want to know exactly why," he said in a surprisingly protective tone, green eyes flickering between the cat and the mongoose.
[[Sorry for the shortness. >_<;]]

Liao shrugged, not seeming to have much reaction to Wei's anger. "Penn said his father is trying to get him to marry some girl for social and monetary reasons... so if his dad thinks he's gay, it'll be kind of hard for him to marry, right? That's what Penn said, anyway," the orange-haired teen said in a rather uninterested tone. He really didn't seem to know -- or care -- much at all.
"Mmm, well, that's because you don't know that b*****d very well!" Ea broke in, his expression bright and flowery, but etched with a nearly tangible bitterness. "Yeah, Penn doesn't want to be married... and I really don't know what he thinks of you, except that he must have obviously picked you for this for some reason. He has many other male students -- and ones of a more approporiate age -- that he could ask to do this. Dunno, maybe he just thinks you're cute," the mongoose said, a small grin breaking across his lips. However, in his eyes, there was still a hint of his usual scowl -- he just didn't seem to be able to break that habbit. "Anyway, more important, he doesn't know what you are. So keep your mouth shut about that because he's a ******** b*****d when he knows what you are," Ea said, sighing lightly as he plopped down on the couch next to Liao.
"I mean, he's known about me since... I was born, really, since he was there. And he's still not over it. That's why I have to do what he sees, or he'll tell everyone what I am, which would be really shitty for all of us, you know? So don't ever even give him the slightest clue because, even if you are in his esteem now, the moment he finds out, he'll completely flip...." the ivory-haired teen explained.
Liao nodded slowly, looking slightly perplexed. "Why was... Penn there at you brith...?" he asked slowly. He didn't need to ask why Ea wanted Liao to keep his animalistic side a secret -- that was a given in all situations.
Ea sighed slowly, looking highly reluctant, before he muttured, his words barely audible, "'Cuz that b*****d is my brother."

Wei frowned a little, not exactly understanding why this 'Penn' fellow would have such a bias against their kind when his own brother and assumingly a parent, or some other relative, was as well. "Hnn." It was very...strange for blood relatives to not have at least something animalistic to them if a sibling did. Wei wasn't versed in the matter, but both Vi and Chang were...what they were, even though they were twins they weren't both cats or bunnies though. The only person he could really think of that should've been an animal and wasn't was Benji's little brother. He couldn't change fully, probably because Benji and said little brother were only half of whatever true humans called them. Benji must've just gotten lucky.
"Who did you inherit your...weasle-ness from?" He asked, not one to pass up gibing someone.
