I know. I was so confused because, Kamalia told me that a Mod had told her (and basically threatened) about recruiting people in the Harry Potter subforum and then that James had gotten basically yelled at for posting where we are suppose to be aloud to post. That's why I sent that pm to a Mod the other day. I was so confused and them James got yelled at (like I said)... I don't think they talk to each other at all. If they did, we wouldn't be getting such conflicting opinions from several different Mods.

The rule means we're not supposed to treat our recruit thread like an off-topic Chatbox. Meaning every single post that isn't related to information for recruiting into the guild will be treated as a bump if I understand it correctly. Whoever that mod was is completely within the rules to warn us about it. Check the past page, techpriest35 was making posts within minutes of eachother that for the most part had nothing to do with recruiting into our guild (i.e. blank stares, X-men references, avatars, etc.) as well as a cosplay response to another member that went under the 2 hour limit. Hence why I think he was singled out for the warning. And most of that wasn't even conversation. That was multiple posts by the same person over the course of a few minutes. Besides, isn't casual conversation in a recruitment thread over several minutes really wrong anyway? There are hundreds possibly thousands of guild recruitment threads in that forum alone. It's not fair to the other guilds there to let one guild turn their recruit thread into a chatbox when it has little to nothing to do with said guild. That bumps the thread to the top for no good reason.
I (when I remember to) actually went out of my way quite a few times to make sure my own responses to conversation were spaced at least 2 hours apart to make sure I didn't get the thread into trouble like recently when I was joking around with Alutian with the blank staring and zombie talk. If other people weren't doing that, then I guess only reason the mods never walked in on us before was probably because of the fact that the recruitment thread was never moving fast enough when we conversed, or they simply didn't notice. There are hundreds if not thousands of guild recruitment threads in there getting bumped everyday after all. And techpriest's few minutes of multi-posting is the only one I can single out as an obvious breach of those forum rules, so maybe that's what the warning was about? It happened on the same day after all. If techpriest recieved that PM for the multi-post, it makes perfect sense why he'd be warned about it. Why not ask techpriest what he got the warning for? But in any case, you can't deny the rules have been broken in that thread. So please don't act like the gaia mod is all to blame here. Anyway that's my 2 cents on the subject.
I can't make an assessment about Kamalia's thing though. I know next to nothing about what happened.
Icee, if you're confused about the HM thing, it's because Lorrieta and I talked about this waaaay before you even returned to us I think. I wasn't following the HM too closely during that time and wrongly assumed Lorrieta had added in this info somewhere. I ompletely forgot about that bit of information until now.

IceeWitch @DDA: I really don't know what to say about Quidditch anymore... But I'm suddenly reminded that we have a Grad subforum to get together.
@Tina: Ok. Well I knew ahead of time that recruitment threads are not supposed to be in the Harry Potter subforum...that's we why created our thread a long time ago. Then, I really felt like that mod had no idea what she was talking about...... well its up to you guys really. As for the Grad subforum I could help with that instead of focusing on the whole Quidditch thing if you want. I am not doing colorguard this summer season aka till august so just let me know.

I don't want to get rid of the Grad's forum. We all worked really hard to come up with idea's and things to do. Plus, it would be taking away something that was, in a way, promised to us. We were told that the Grads would be running the forum with help from the Mod Squad, if needed (or at least that is how I understood it.). Plus, students are holding off on Graduating until the forum is already up and running. I think it's something that we are all looking forward to. I would be very disappointed if we didn't get to have a chance to make it work after all this time.
Now, that's not to say that I don't like bringing Quidditch back. I am part of the Quidditch Guild and when I was a student I was a Chaser. Maybe it could be like the Hogwarts Express, in that it's a thread but, it's locked when it's not in use. (I'm not sure if this was brought up yet or not. If it was and it was agreed that it was the wrong thing to do just disregard this part of the post but, if it wasn't decided on, maybe we need to revisit the idea. That's just my 2 cents.)

No one said anything about removing the Grad subforum....we're just gonna finally get it up. That's definitely more important.
As for Quidditch: I stand by what I said before: I really don't know what to say about Quidditch anymore...

I know what you mean bout quidditch, its been rough just trying to get it going and keep it going. Maybe it's a sign lol maybe we should just leave it alone for another time maybe or I will just save it for the Quidditch Guild and hopefully get that up and running...

@Icee:Okay, I misread what DDA said.
@DDA: We always could use another persons opinion in the Grads Thread. smile

QUIDDITCHIf you assigned Quidditch to a group of a people and a couple of Mods. Then i reckon all together they could bring up something that'd work. It incourages interhouse compition.

For now, let's use the Quidditch Guild for planning...and then when a nice testable, concrete idea is developed we can find a place to test it out in the guild.

Can I please get a Icee or another Mod's opinion in the Editor's Office on the Event I was thinking should, maybe, be the Event article for the June issue of the Paper? I've just posted some new ideas for June's Issue.
Edit: Ranye helped me. Thanks again!

That's seems like a great idea, but it's definitely something all the Mods need to agree upon. I'll bring it up to everyone and get back to you. (:

However I don't think it's something all the mods should agree on.... I honestly have no problem with him making the class, but he might want to see how many members will be interested!
Maybe that's another aspect we can look at with the Classes: real life stuff (like study groups)

Something like the real life book clubs?
Also, what do you think about making a couple of threads in the Role-play Sub-Forum for Teachers only? A lot of the Teachers that I've talked to would like to expand there character. Some of them would obviously be Students too but, that would be okay. I know we already have a Staff Room but that's more for information, not Role-play. I know that the Grad will have more then enough space to Role-play once the Grads Forum is up, maybe we could do this in the mean time. So what does everyone think?

Ministry of Magic I've noticed that there's been a discussion of a section for graduates to post and rp in, and although I'm just a House-Elf at the moment, I was wondering if there'd be a possibility of using the Ministry as a second location to RP a career in? Or would that be too tedious?
