What if I wanted to check? This is my cave after all... She got up and trailed after him.
Serena was at the entrance, nodding toward the cave and pushing Pip in that direction. "Go on," She whispered, "Callista doesn't bite...too hard."
Pip was backpedaling , pushing back against his lifemate. "I'm telling you, she's not alone in there..."

Ugh...not her lifemate...
"Not alone?" Serena smiled deviously. "Wanna have some fun?"
"I don't think that's a good idea, Serena. I do not know the male with her. I would rather you just stand behind me and let me asses the situation."
Serena rolled her eyes. "I think you've spent too much time with my cousin Lucifer..." She moved to the cave entrance, "Oh Callista! Come out, come out where ever you are!"

I am uncertain, Valzar responded. Would you like me to leave so that you may speak with your sister? Not that Valzar liked the idea of leaving Callista in the company of some strange male...or any male for that matter...

No! Er...no, please stay...I've never liked her lifemate...he makes me uncomfortable...I'd feel much better if you stayed. She reached for his hoof and squeezed it.
"Calliiiiistaaa? Do you have that studly lifemate of yours holed up in there?"
Pip frowned and moved uneasily next to her. "I do not like where you're taking this. I am the only thing you should be calling studly."

"I know you're right...but I'd rather not..." She smiled and sighed, "Yes, I'm in here. What do you want?"
"Well, are you going to invite me in? I mean, you always had such wonderful manners, and now they're suddenly absent..."
"We'll be right out..." She tugged on Valzar's hoof and moved out of the cave, shrinking back when she saw Pip. "Sister...Brother...It's nice of you to drop by."
Pip wrapped his arms around Serena, pulling her into the shelter of his body. "Serena insisted we stop by." His eyes traveled over Callista to rest on Valzar. He was sizing him up, trying to decide how much of a threat he would be.
"Well...look who's all grown up and gorgeous! Don't you think so Pip?" She was deliberately trying to start a fight.
Pip's grasp tightened around her. You have no idea what you're doing. Stop this silly notion now. It will only end in trouble.

Valzar kept close to Callista and made certain to watch the other male who seemed to frighten her. Though the warlock was well aware he was slightly out of his area of expertese in dealing with the full blooded Carpathian male he would allow nothing to harm his lifemate.

"I refuse to answer such a question. I would kill any man who called you beautiful...so I must assume that your sister's lifemate would do the same."
"You spoil all my fun, Pip..." Serena snorted and bopped him on the nose.
I'm afraid I don't see any fun in this one, my love. I've no wish to kill your sister's lifemate." He smiled at Callista, "Though I believe I owe you both an apology. It's recently come to my attention that I am quite an a**."
Callista eyed him warily, "a** does not begin to cover it...but we accept your apology. I'm sure Selena's had words with you, since you've had a change of heart..."
"Actually, she and Lucifer kidnapped me."

Valzar blinked, "You were...kidnapped?" What force would be powerful enough to capture one of these creatures?

"Serena's twin Selena," Callista answered. "She's her own special force."
"Yeah...Lena knocked him out...with her tail. What a wimp I have for a lifemate..." She grinned up at Pip playfully.
"You were not calling me a wimp the other day..."
Callista blushed, hiding her face in Valzar's side. "I think I should remind you that we are still standing here."

"Ew....Alright...you win Callista. I don't want to think about you...doing that..."
Pip laughed, "Something so natural is nothing to fear., though I would rather not think about my brother and his urges." Has Callista converted him yet?
I don't know... "Pip wants to know if you've been converted yet, Valzar. He's just too much of a wimp to ask himself."
Callista stiffened next to Valzar. You do not have to answer if you do not want to.
He smiled playfully at Serena, "You have no tact, my love. I was attempting to avoid making them uncomfortable."
"You worry too much, it's just Callista."
