So instead of studying for tomorrow's final, I did a day out with the girls to see The Golden Compass and stuff my face at Appleebee's.
On its own, I really liked the movie. But I was really thrown off when I was like "Hey, all this stuff should be happening" and then it just ENDED.
I'm rather curious as to why they skipped the end of the book. That seems a bit odd to me.

You.... drank...soy sauce!? gonk I was really craving fried rice but was feeling too lazy to actually make rice and then make fried rice with it. Several sips out of a shallow dish filled with soy sauce did the trick.

Kinetic Dream Peppermint Elf Skizzors I didn't cry at Grave of the Fireflies.. I think it's 'cause I watched it subtitled. No one seems to believe me when I say I prefer a good dub to a good sub, because there's just that much more emotional impact -- but not crying at Grave of the Fireflies is proof enough. sweatdrop My mom cried at it, though.. but then she cried at the episode of Pokemon (39?) where Ash tried to leave Pikachu in a herd of wild Pikachus. Oh! surprised I cry at the Prince of Egypt. Like, every time. Half because of the emotions and half because it's just so well done. whee ..does anyone else cry at well-done exposition, whether or not it is actually sad? >_>; I cried at that Pokemon episode too. Pikachu... crying ...Stupid Ash. mad OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW! OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW!

Speaking of fried rice, that's what I'm making right now for dinner.

I have also been known to drink vinegar.
