Ubuntu... anyone have any thoughts on this OS? When I get my computer back I was thinking of going from XP to a better OS. I was considering getting a Mac and selling my old machine. But now I found out about this Ubuntu buisness, and maybe I can just run that on my current machine.

Yoko Gurren-Dan I whole heartedly approve this flag design... xd Oh hell yeah. If it passes, I'm totally moving to Britain. >_> <_< ALSO! Anime people: I know most of you don't buy anything during december since X-mas is so close, but for people you know who like anime, MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE RIGHTSTUF 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS SALE!! Last year they had crazy deals and it's the same this year...so go check it out! And no, I haven't been possessed by a Rightstuf sales person hell-bent on making enough commission to buy the parts needed for his evil fortress.

Shoujo Phoenix Phoenix Goliathane Shoujo Phoenix Phoenix Goliathane To be fair...why do I have a feeling that was either a mistake or a hacking/scamming? gonk Something doesn't feel right about that - if you have anything remotely as expensive as headphones (and I mean, like, just a tail or even an OMG), you'd do your homework before selling that s**t. gonk It's one of those things that I'd feel really bad about, and if I were in your position, I'd probably have sold them back to the guy for what I paid. But that's just me.

I've been checking daily. xd Sadly there's nothing I've been really looking for there though maybe I should give the Tylor OVAs a spin. I was going to evangelize their My-HiME deal over in my LJ once all of the deals came out.

Ashram McDuck Skizzors Ashram McDuck So I rented the first DVD of the new JEEG. Anyone who bought this particular DVD was seriously ripped off. ONE episode. (as awesome as it was, mind) ..wtf, Japan. I don't buy DVDs in Japan very much. On top of being short in content, they are HIGH in price. I've heard $50-60 for 3-4 episodes.. how much was the Jeeg?

But now I found out about this Ubuntu buisness, and maybe I can just run that on my current machine. We use Ubuntu on many of our machines over here at Casa de Keys. Since I suppose you were going to have to learn a new operating system either way going OSX or Ubuntu, you might as well give it a spin. If it doesn't work out, you can always go back to plan A. Ubuntu gives the nice things about Linux but trades in a lot of the idealism for a more user-friendly and practical way of life. Of course, if you're intending on playing games, you might have to wait, even with Cedega (Hurry up and add Crysis Cedega! That way even XP users might be able to bypass the desire to go to Vista!) but it's nice that that option exists at least.

This isn't the first time something like this has happened though.
