Akimbo ...does anybody else get the song 99 Red Love Balloons stuck in their head? 'cause I do, and I've been listening to it for like..an hour now. I always get the German one stuck in my head. Which is worse because then I only know like, one phrase.

Wow...if you look at the Site feedback forum, MTV is much hated.
Granted, I don't like MTV myself (I remember when it really was MUSIC Television, and was awesome), and I personally thought The Hills was a stupid show for a lame a** channel.
But the hate that's flying around about MTV... rolleyes
It's almost comical.

But the hate that's flying around about MTV... rolleyes It's almost comical. MTV, even when it wasn't just music anymore, was at least sometimes good if there was nothing on or something... But the fact that they replay the same shows nonstop (very few of them even entertaining) has gotten to me. I only bother with it for ANTM marathons.

My standards for TV are really low. But...you know, I only watch MTV anymore if it's the early morning - which is the only time they actually show videos anymore.
Otherwise, it's either "The Hills," "ANTM," or "A Shot At Love." (The last...you'd think that a show starring a bisexual Asian Myspace whore model would be a lot hotter than it actually is, from what I've seen. It's just embarrassing for EVERYONE involved, including the viewer.)
GCD is wanking furiously about it, too. Which, I can understand - I felt a bit insulted by the lowest common denominator pandering that this entire campaign is, on the heels of another ad campaign. But on the other hand, I love how everyone is all like "HILLS FANS CAN GTFO MY GAIA! scream " There's even a petition already.

Late night MTV occasionally will show a video I like, but the thought of sitting through all the hip hop, rap, and whatever else they're playing just to get to the few rock videos they still show isn't an appealing thought.

I don't think I have watched MTV in over five years.
I usually have a set schedule of TV watching, and if there is nothing on I usually just watch Court TV, or a science channel.
