xuebiii Gah. I went to the bookstore a week or so ago for a book with my dad... we searched around and he was continuously asking me what that book was about, what this book was about ('cause we were in the music section at first and they were advertising Twilight and he was like "just buy another CD, looking for a book would take to long" and I was like "why don't I just take Twilight, everyone seem to like it" and then he was like"Vampire, no way.") And half the books I ended up explaining to him (he just won't read the cover flap!) were about vampires. >.< And I ended up getting really annoyed at seeming vampire book after bloody vampire book that I ended up asking one of those people to direct me to a good book that didn't involve vampires. Has anyone read that book... Alchemist , or something... about Nicolas Flamel... or so on? I read all types of books, like The Wheel of Time Series ( A fantasy series) Flyte, and the rest of the books in the series. (Wizard series.) Umm...Night of the wolf (Werewolf series.) Book of Shadows (A book about a Witch.) The Royal Diaries (About Royal women through out history.) Artimis Fowl series (About a young evil mastermind trying to seal from faries.) Wicked Lovely (About some not so nice faries.) Etc...I can talk about tons of books without vampires, but truthfully I prefer Vampire books....I have fancied the Vampire ones since I was 10 or 11. Which has been about 9 or 10 years. o.O Hard for me not to talk about Vampire books when I talk about books since I have read so many of them.

Anyways... yeah I'm so hungry right now.
Ok! But yeah... I too have a mad love for the sexy men that go bump in the night. I mostly blame David Boreanez and his fine vampire self in Buffy and Angel. *sighs* So hott. Plus after that got me going my friend Chris lent me Cirque Du Freak. Then I started watching tv and movies and reading all manner of vampire related things. Now I'm an addict for a good story with fangs.
I'm going to get Scottie to go as Lestat de Lioncourt for our first Halloween after he moves here. The Stewart Townshend Queen of the Damned version, that is. Not the Tom Cruise (ick xp ) Interview with the Vampire version.
And good books with no vamps? Hm... lemme think....
Ok, there's... huh. Wow. Other than Harry Potter... I'm a bit at a loss... Hang on, I'll think of one.. or better yet *goes to check book shelf*
Ok, I just realized that all I read are vampire books, manga, and romance novels. Wow. Well, and those Psychic Development books... I love those.
The only books I have that aren't one of those three aforementioned genres are my Series of Unfortunate Events books....
Sorry!

Fantasy series that i've read other than Harry Potter? Oh Merlin, there's no way I could list them ALL because I read CONSTANTLY, but I'll name a few:
Inheritance by Christopher Paolini (Everyone knows about Eragon, right?)
Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud (An arrogant, sarcastic demon controlled by an ambitious young magician.)
Wolf series by Jane Linskold (royal court intrigue and large talking animals)
Liveship Traders by Robin Hobb (slaves, pirates, and dragons)
The Adept by Kurtz and Harris (Scottish crime-solving psychics that believe in reincarnation)
Death Gate Cycle by Weis and Hickman (Four worlds, one for each of the four elements)
Guardians of Time by Marianne Curley (psychics that travel through time to preserve history)
Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer (12 year-old wealthy genius and underground society of fairies)
Song of Ice and Fire by George Martin (conspiracy, incest, battles, murder, and other fun things)
Warriors by Erin Hunter (Clans of cats fighting and working together in the forest)
Merry Gentry by Laurel K. Hamilton (faery princess sleeping with her guards...No, really, that's it.)
His Dark materials by Phillip Pullman (Thanks to The Golden Compass movie everyone knows of this one, too.)
Keisha'ra by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (different types of shape-shifters trying to live together or control each other)
There's more, but I'll stop here, shall I? sweatdrop

Gosh. I just don't read books anymore. Just Harry Potter (I don't have many books at home and my dad never takes me to the library... dunno why). Tamara Pierce (spelling?) is a good author too, I love the Circle of Magic and the Circle Opens series (along with the grand finale... The Will of the Empress?).

Scotties MiaKitty I'm going to get Scottie to go as Lestat de Lioncourt for our first Halloween after he moves here. The Stewart Townshend Queen of the Damned version, that is. Not the Tom Cruise (ick icon_xp.gif) Interview with the Vampire version. Aw... I actually preffered Tom Cruise's Lestat to the Queen of the Damned one. He seems more...Lestat, and not just some foreign rocker vampire. TC!Lestat just seemed slightly more realistic to me. But that's my opinion, Mia. If Scotty will dress up like QotD Lestat, then Hot DAMN! He's going to be looking goood. cool

Oh, if you like sex, greek gods that are absolutely yummy, and romance read Sherrilyn Kenyon's book Fantasy Lover and then from there her Dark-HUnter series kicks off with Night Pleasures, which I am reading and LOVING. So if you like paranormal stuff with vampires, greek gods, some greek mythology, ect. these books are for you. Plus the guys are absolutely mouthwatering.
