Jin chuckled. "If I'm right, I wouldn't be all that surprised if they already suspect something's up," he said quietly.

Hyómai snorted. "What makes you think I care about them? I'm nothing like them... and I have few friends," she said coldly as she turned away, hovering off of the ground. "And I can sense you're holding back... but then, so am I," she said with a saucy smirk towards Zacarias over her shoulder.

Kaosujin Ryu Rosalyn chuckled softly and nodded. "Yes, I suppose you are right." She looked over her shoulder at him. "He just has always had me on edge when he is around."~~~~ "I am sure there is at least one person in that house that would disagree you are nothing like them..." Zacarias said as he completely blended in with the shadows. "And there is no need for you to see my full power. You are no the one I am here for. Curiosity got the better of me for a moment is all."

Jin gently massaged Rosalyn's skin as he hugged her. "Reminds me of how I used to be around those damned guards," he said softly. He blinked as his gaze shifted to the window, seeing the clouds gather unusually in the distance, as if something were drawing them like a magnet as they swirled in the sky like a slowly spinning top as they darkened, seeming to both absorb and reflect the moonlight.

Hyómai snorted before a soft gasping cry escaped her as she fell to the ground with a thump, feeling like she'd been hit with a Taser... but with about twenty times more power. Unknown to her, the clouds were swirling and gathering overhead as rain started pouring down. Steam rose off of her skin as the coal black color seeped away, revealing that her hair wasn't naturally dark bronze-black, but a brilliant silvery white with black tips.

Rosalyn relaxed against Jin with a sigh. "I hate that feeling Jin. I really do." She turned her gaze to him and smiled. "But since I have you...I don't have to feel like that anymore." She turned, her gaze moving with Jins, to look out the window. There was something strange about those clouds... ~~~~ Zacarias turned when he heard the sound. The young woman was on the ground, and it began to pour. He looked up at the strange looking clouds, head tilting to the side slightly. His gaze went back to the woman, seeing that steam came off her body when the water hit and that her hair had changed color.

Lorcan awoke at the sudden boom of thunder, his eyes flickering all around before his gaze flicked towards the window to see the clouds spreading out in the distance. He exhaled as his fingers trailed through Cassandra's hair as she slept on his chest.

Jin frowned slightly, his eyes narrowing as they glowed a dull teal that seemed to glitter prismatically. "Those clouds have a lot of spiritual energy flowing through them... Mai's energy," he whispered. Almost the moment he paused, a flare of lightning arced down through the clouds and hit the ground.

Hyómai's eyes fluttered before opening. To her surprise, the dye had washed out of her hair as she stood slowly and shakily before an arcing bolt of white lightning slammed down and hit her directly over her heart. Her eyes, unknown to her, weren't glowing either their natural deep amber nor the crystalline teal of her charged state, but a pale, pupilless white color. She felt her knees bend with the lightning strike, but she was mildly surprised that it didn't hurt her. Electricity danced over her skin as she grunted, her eyes narrowing before a shockwave of wind shoved the pounding rain from her, effectively creating a dome of electromagnetic energy around her as her eyes rose to the clouds before she focused, the clouds slowly stopping their spin before dissipating in separate directions, the storm losing its power as she dispelled it.

Cassandra shifted, her eyes fluttering open. She had heard the thunder, but had not opened her eyes until she felt Lorcan's fingers running through her hair. She smiled softly and ran her hand lightly over his chest. "I love thunder storms," she murmured softly. ~~~~~ Rosalyn looked to Jin as he spoke. "Should we go out to her?" She didn't know this young woman at all and if she would appreciate being followed by herself and Jin. But what if she was in trouble? After all Zacarias was out there. ~~~~~ Zacarias took a step forward, but stopped when he saw that the bolt of lightening that had struck Hyomai did not harm her. In fact as she looked up at the clouds the storm slowly dispersed, clouds going in several different directions. Maybe she wasn't one to be ignored. She had great power and it could be used to do so many things.

Lorcan smiled slightly before he twitched, hearing the same distant pops. His eyes narrowed slightly as he heard the sound, troubled, but unsure why the sounds bothered him.

Jin glanced towards Rosalyn before his gaze snapped sharply towards the window before a dome of bluish white energy imploded skyward. His eyes narrowed, then widened at the distant popping sounds that could easily be mistaken for firecrackers. "I think so... she isn't alone," he said softly.

Hyómai was breathing hard before she heard clicks of automatic weapons behind her. She half turned, only to get caught by no less than sixty rounds fired at her by half a dozen men with twin assault rifles in each hand. She gritted her teeth as she staggered back, unaware that the bullets were impacting her, but most of them, other than tearing at her skin and flesh, weren't doing much damage. Blood ran from dozens of wounds on her body and her clothes were ruined, but she didn't fall down as she breathed hard, unaware that her body had been infused with bio-metallic alloy (think Doctor Doom from the Fantastic 4 movie) which enhanced her strength and speed and gave her a strong resistance to damage. She had her head bowed when she panted hard, unaware that the lightning had increased her natural reserves of energy due to the alloy and her atmokinetic powers. After several minutes of the men firing on her, their rate of fire slowed to a stop as they went to reload their weapons.

Cassandra lifted her head slightly when she heard the popping sound. She frowned a little. Something about it bothered her, but she couldn't put her finger on it. ~~~~ "Then let's go," Rosalyn said as she stood up from the bed and stretched. As she did so a pair of black pants and a green shirt appeared on her. Her hair was pulled back into a french braid. ~~~~ The men appeared out of nowhere. Zacarias growled slightly when they began to shoot at Hyomai. What were they, stupid? Apparently so because they began to reload the clips of their guns. With grace Zacarias moved forward right behind one of the men. As he reached his arm out a blade seemed to materialize from his arm. It went right through the man's chest and as another turned to aim his gun at Zacarias he screamed, dropping his gun and scratching at his eyes. "Now now boys...is that anyway to treat a lady?" He swung his free arm out and a cloud of black surround the men. All that could be heard from within the dome was screaming and gunshots.

Lorcan propped himself up on one elbow before he frowned slightly. He now heard distant screams, but they faded after a few minutes. "Must have been idiots teasing wild animals," he muttered. Deep in his gut, he strongly doubted that, but didn't think about it.

Jin fluidly stood, shifting his weight. He glanced down, realizing that he was dressed in a dark violet gi with a dark red-black undershirt almost exactly the color of Rosalyn's hair while the gi was a couple of shades lighter than her violet eyes. "As if you needed to know that I'm yours, honey?" he said idly, teasing Rosalyn. He cocked his head as he noticed that his hair was pulled back in a ponytail at the nape of his neck with two thin but long braids hanging down in front of his ears. His gaze snapped into the distance as a second dome of thermal energy detonated, making his eyes narrow.

Hyómai cocked her head when Zacarias attacked the men, though his method didn't really impress her. "Dumb a**," she muttered as she half turned, the man holding the plasma cannon firing and hitting her, creating a smaller dome of bluish white thermal energy that scorched the ground beneath her now bare feet. Unfortunately for her... it also incinerated what little clothing she had left on. She shot forward, seeming to spontaneously materialize from the glare of the dome which even as she escaped it was starting to fade. Her hand shot out, gripping the plasma cannon and forcing it skyward as arcs of deep ebony lightning arced over the weapon before it exploded, taking most of the man's lower arm with it in a spray of blood as Mai gripped the man by the throat and lifted him off the ground with one hand, though her eyes were startlingly closed before they snapped open suddenly, revealing nothing... but pitch black emptiness. Her voice had shifted to a deep growling bass tone as flames ignited in the emptiness. "Your soul is tainted with the blood of children and innocents... you enjoyed their pain as you twisted them to your own desires... now... feel their pain," she muttered as pitch black flames shot out before engulfing the screaming man, who writhed as the flames seemed to consume him from both within and outside his body.

"Must have been," Cassandra said softly as she bit her lip. She knew that something was amiss, and it wasn't just a bunch of idiots teasing wild animals. Her hand still rested lightly on Lorcan's chest as she stared out the window. ~~~~~ Rosalyn chuckled softly as the window flew open. Wisps of hair that escaped from her braid flew around her face. "Come on. Let's see what is going on."~~~~~ The man on Zacarias' weapon seemed to melt away, becoming one with the weapon. "Their souls...are mine," he muttered softly with a sigh as the dome disappeared. All the men that had been there were gone. The only thing left were ashes of their bodies. For a moment he could hear their screaming in his mind and then they faded away. That was one of his many gifts. When he killed someone he could let their souls drift away, finding their rightful place...or he could take them with him.

Lorcan exhaled slowly. "I know as well as you do that it isn't people screwing around with wild animals, but there's someone investigating already," he whispered in Cassandra's mind.

Jin took a single step before he seemingly flickered, materializing for a couple of seconds outside the room before shooting away at high speed, leaving a trail of beautiful sapphire-violet energy behind.

Hyómai snorted as her gaze shifted away as the black flames turned a brilliant emerald green before surging off of the man's now emaciated corpse which still bore a look of utter terror and condensing into her hand before she clenched her hand into a fist, absorbing the sphere of energy into her body... along with the man's soul and memories. She dropped the corpse, which hit the ground and collapsed, the flesh turning to dust and leaving bones which swiftly did the same. "Sometimes it makes you wonder who is better... humans or demons... I could care less who is better... I want to put down those who would manipulate life and death for their own gain.... and I'll do it as painfully as possible," she muttered, her empty black eyes flickering with pitch black and violet hellfire.

Cassandra turned her gaze back to Lorcan and smiled slightly. "I know they are." She leaned forward and kissed him lightly. "When they get back...we should call everyone together to tell them about the gems."~~~~~~ Rosalyn after Jin quickly and easily. She knew that even if he hadn't left the trail behind him, she still would find him no matter where he went. As they got closer to where the storm had been she frowned. She could feel Zacarias there. Her heart sped up a little and her breathing hitched but she kept going. ~~~~~ "Some are better than others. Each race has their good and bad." Zacarias dusted off his clothes of the ashes that had landed on him. His gaze flickered to the sky as something caught his attention. There was not mistaking Rosalyn, but the man who was with her he did not know. "It seems that help comes your way."

Lorcan kissed Cassandra gently, his fingers trailing over the nape of her neck from her shoulder and into her hair before very lightly tugging at her hair. He felt her shudder since he knew she loved when he did that.

Jin cocked an eyebrow as he landed in a crouch, seeing the blood dripping off of Mai's skin though he could tell it was her own rather than someone else's from the scent. "Friend of yours?" he said blandly, seemingly not recognizing Zacarias though he knew who he was.

Hyómai shrugged, blinking as her irises seemingly engulfed and absorbed the darkness into her pupils as she tilted her head towards Jin. <******** you, Jin. I don't need your help any more than I did then... you simply got me out faster," she said bluntly, not seeming to care that she stood there as bare as the day she was born with blood streaking most of her lightly tanned skin. She glanced towards Zacarias, a slight gust of air blowing away the majority of the ashes around both herself and the demon. "I'm not interested in joining your little gang... I could care less about your little fights, as long as you don't get in my way," she said flatly before she shot skyward, leaving no trail of energy behind before a golden flare ignited in the clouds as she accelerated though the flare of light within the clouds swiftly faded away.

Cassandra groaned softly, her whole body shuddering as Lorcan ran his fingers into her hair and tugged slightly. Her arms wrapped around his neck as she held onto him tightly. ~~~~~ Zacarias smirked as Hyomai told Jin off and then disappeared into the clouds. He turned his gaze back to Jin and to the woman who had landed next to him. He had not seen her in all the years since he had captured her. "Ah beautiful Rosalyn. What a treat to see you." He gave a slight bow of his head. "I must assume that this is your new lover? And here I thought you would never love another. You were so enamored with the last one; Constance's father.""Don't you dare," Rosalyn hissed as her eyes narrowed. "Don't you dare mention either of them to me. You have no right.""Dear girl don't get angry with me. I did no harm to them. It was your brother who killed your husband and father to your child. I just merely did as your father bade me and brought you back home." Zacarias' head tilted to the side slightly. "Although my orders now have changed just a little bit."

Lorcan kissed Cassandra's lips before trailing light kisses to her earlobe which he nibbled lightly before trailing the kisses down her throat to her shoulder. "I swear... you're so addicting," he murmured.

Jin idly scratched his eyebrow, one finger raised... his middle finger. "Then sod off... you aren't getting them, since you of all people know what happens when you get between a mother bear and her cubs... in this case, you'd be dealing with more than just the mother bear," he said idly, not seeming to care that it showed that they knew full well what those orders were. Wonder if he knows that it'll take more than that old b*****d's got to succeed, he thought.

Hyómai snorted before she shot higher into the higher parts of the atmosphere. She cocked her eyes into space as she saw what appeared to be a meteor shooting past her before impacting the earth far below. Can't be more than a few hundred yards from where I took off, she mused. Unknown to her, it was a four and a half foot long silvery ship with an unusual logo a few feet back from the nose.
