I see something. I'm not sure what it is, Fi'hai. But be prepared to back me if it's not a fish. Once I see the perfect moment (which I recognize easily due to years of hunting), I leap of my perch at dive at the object. Once I reach the right speed, I shift my body so my feet are aimed at the object, my deadly talons beared.

"Yes." I reply. "And if we get the chance, today I will take the time to practice my fighting skills."

Moriah: "Well, yes, the Rings pick their Bearers," Mashai'i replies. "So we'll probably have to follow the Ring to its chosen Bearer, unless it's one of you. And yes, we have a very powerful foe..." He sighs heavily. "But that's not what I meant," he says. "What I meant was...us. You and me. What we've been doing. I have a feeling that someday you'll want to raise a child of your own, but...I can't provide you with one. Is it really right for us to continue like this? Is it really right for you to be making love to the living embodiment of the earth element? I love you, Moriah, but unless you are content with this, and no more, then perhaps it is best to...stop..."
Atlanta: Your talons catch something. It's kind of big, whatever it is. It fight back, but you have it too well. Once you get it out of the water, you find that it is a fish so big that it surely must be able to feed the entire group!
Eleutherius: "Yes, we probably should so that," Shitai'ei says as she sits up and stretches.

I follow Shitai'ei's lead and stand up to get ready for more traveling.

"Well... I don't know... I've never considered it before. I don't want to stop adventuring. I signed up with the Earth Leigion because I was going be a warrior, but there's no way I could raise a child like that, and I'm already pretty terrible wife material for our existing culture, not even an ideal warrior..." I reply forlornly.

CRAAAAAP! This is heavy! I quickly pump my wings to carry it back to the group.

Eleutherius: "It seems like the others are still waking up, so maybe we should train?" Shitai'ei says.
Moriah: After hearing your forlorn tone, Mashai'i holds your abdomen tightly and sits up, so that you're now in his lap. He rests his muzzle on your shoulder. "I'm sorry," he says softly. "I do not know the customs of this time. You seemed like a wonderful warrior, so it did not occur to me that you were not 'ideal.' And it also did not occur to me that nomads are few and far between these days. I am sorry."
Atlanta: Fi'hai gets under it and makes sure that, should you drop it, he would catch it. However, instead of dropping it, you simply get pulled to the ground, out of breath. Perhaps you and Fi'hai should carry it on the ground?

"Ugh.... you help me carry it.... Why the hell is this fish so big?" I pick up the front end by hooking my 'fingers' into its gills and using my other 'hand' to support it.

"Well... if I were to be a wife in the human civilization, I would have have to give up my life to bear children and raise them, but... I can't see, so I can't clean or make sure they don't put their hands in fire or what have you. I can cook a little, but only really simple things, and I have to go it based on smell and taste. If I went to the nomads... then I'd have to teach themhow to hunt and gather and such, but I can't see them to correct their posture, nor can I identify berries really easily... I've actually poisoned myself a few times because of it... nothing serious though. And, about being a warrior, I trained my life to be able to fight based off my other sneses, but because I can't see, They'd think I'm a less able or something... It never occured to me just how much this impacts me... although, I did have my first dream with color in it last night..." I say, still rather forlorn, but his hug did make me feel better.

Atlanta: Fi'hai immediately goes to the tail end and lifts it up with both arms. Together, it feels like nothing.
Moriah: Mashai'i listens silently. He licks your cheek at the end of it, like your father always did, due to the design of his face not being accommodating for human-like kissing. "I'm sorry, I never should have brought it up," he says. "But, seeing color in your dreams is a good sign!"

Manra stays in his arms for now, "Yknow... at first, you were pretty much scared me, but you're a ... really nice guy. A bit rough and gruff, but... sweet... And I like you..." she said quietly, still nuzzling her face against his chest, I'm glad you picked me to be your Bearer; because of that, I got to know you.

"No... it is a good question. It actually felt really, really good to get that out. I just need to find my own path... I guess I always kinda hoped I would die gloriously in combat, prove myself to the world, do some good hopefully, and not have to worry about needing people to care for me again... but, you gave me the ability the feel the world in a new way." I say to him. "Well, the dream was weird... it was just a huge clashing of different colors in meaningless patterns. I heard myself crying, but I didn't feel sad... I was actually really happy. I don't know what it meant, but it was like how I thought I'd feel once I finally achieve my greatest desire in this world."

Atlanta: "You're not the only one..." Fi'hai grumbles. It takes a few minutes, but you soon arrive at camp.
Manra: Rai'o pats your back. "Thank you," he says. "I like you, too."
Moriah: Mashai'i licks your cheek again. "I'm glad," he says. He listens to your explanation of your dream. "Interesting..." he says.
