"My parents were ore miners on Bandomeer" Randall said, walking down the street. "I wanted to avoid that life for myself, so when I was sixteen, I stowed onboard a smuggler's ship to get the hell out of there. I worked for them for a few years until I could afford my own ship, and I've been making my living with the Chaos ever since then."

"Well, milord," Jakar answered. "The Lady has helped me with the lightning ability, and unlocked my inner darkside potential. By the way, I'd like to talk to you about something when you have the time."

Melissa walked on for some time in silent contemplation, turning a corner and walking under an arched entryway that opened up into the market district. Storefronts lined the busy and crowed street, where there was not a storefront there were locals with items spread out before them, lade upon cloth blackest or small homemade wooden tables.
“I can understand why you would want a different life, traveling out among the stars, seeing new places. You don’t have any regrets about leaving your family behind do you?” She looked up and pointed down the street at one of the shops. “There it is, I hope you can find what you’re looking for because I have no clue what’s new in the droid market.” She shrugged her shoulders, grinning. “Haven’t had the need for a droid myself for some time.”

"I understand that the ambassador from Thule is waiting for me, though I should have some spare time after that. Were you two about to take the Gryphon up?"

Randall assessed the market district with a careful eye, looking both for wares and potential threats. Fortunately he didn't see anything that looked dangerous, so he led the way towards the shop Melissa had indicated.
"I miss my family sometimes, yeah." He said, pausing outside of the door to the droid shop. "But I never regret it. I've made myself a good life. Better than I ever could have as an ore miner." Cracking his knuckles, he opened the door to the shop, he stepped inside to begin browsing for droids.

“Well that good to hear.” She said, following him though the door. She tagged along with him as he browsed though the shops collections of droids, letting her eyes wonder from unit to unit, leaving Randall to pick out one by himself. She even stepped back when the proprietor of the shop came over hopping to make a sale, after all, it was his ship that he was investing in and no one knew their ship better than the one flying it.

The Force grants many gifts to those of consequential fortune. To the Miraluka, it grants sight, and to the rare few, it grants it's full power. The funny thing about being born with the ability to see things that nobody else could dream of. He could see beyond the bulkheads, out into space, as if everyone was just standing on an invisible platform. The sight could see the past, of battles fought... as he pryed into the future. Death, chaos, destruction. A fighter pilot's life is always spent in such dangers. This always made him feel sick though, for reasons which even he couldn't explain.

Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead as he continued to pry. There was just a place he couldnt' reach, a place he couldn't go. It was a blind spot, an area which could not be seen. The further he got to reaching it, the worse it felt, the worse it was. This time, he gave up the search, as he felt himself fall back against the crates, and a couple loud crashes from around him.

"We'll be taking on drone frigates. I dont' know who is making them, nor why they are here, but we're bound to figure that out. The 49th needs backup, so we're going to be intercepting the orbital station that holds them. You and me are going to invade the station too. Don't forget your saber."

Ritt’s suddenly fell backwards, to Aurora’s surprise, knocking over a few creates on his way to the floor. She let the boxes she had been suspending in the air fall to the ground as she flipped to her feet and hurried over to her master.
“Mastr-Ritt! Are you ok?” She asked, this time not caring if she had call him master of not. Moving a creates out of her way and moved over to look down at him, a quizzical expression on her subtle fetchers. Bending at her slim waist and planting her hands upon her knees to brace herself. “What happened, and what are you talking about? What Frigates?”

Ritt slowly came to his senses, shaking himself clean.

"Our upcoming deployment. I tried to see an outcome in the future, but it seems to have backfired on me. It's always in motion, but I thought I had mastered at least some precognition to tell what our needs would be."

He looked around, before relaxing some. "We're going to be heading for Blenjeel. It's a system that's relatively under sith control, and perhaps a nice chokepoint for their forces. Only problem is lately they've been aided by some fighters of unusual design. Small things, maneuverable too, supposedly drones according to intel. I didn't think anyone could produce a good droid starfighter, but someone in the sith has, and my guess is that he's field testing."

Calling his saber, he ignited it.

"Let's get some practice in before we go in there all rusty and knotted up. Pilots or not, we're still jedi."

Randall spent some time, about nine or ten standard minutes simply walking around the shop, silently examing the droids there were to offer. When the shopkeeper, an elderly Duros, came over to help make a sale, Randall waved him off until his inspecetion was complete.
Finally, after he had looked over all of the droids that met his criteria, Randall came to a decision and approached the shopkeeper himself.
"I like that one over there." he said, indicating a droid sitting int he corner. "T9-N3." He'd had a good experience with his previous droid, a T8 Model, and he'd heard little but praise for the newer T9. This one looked to be about five years old. It was built in the standard wheeled-design, and looked slightly sleeker than the T8s, but its age made any fanciness from when it was new less apparent.
Asking the shopkeeper how much he wanted for the droid, Randall began the process of haggling. Eventually the price was down to that magic point where both sides thought they were taking advantage of the other. Satisfied, Randall paid the Duros for the droid, activated it, and gestured both T9-N3 and Melissa towards the door. "Time for phase 2. I suggest we regroup at the ship. It's almost nighttime, and we can continue in the morning.

Bathurst cargo bay

“Ritt,” She grinned up at him and shook her head. “You shouldn’t worry so much about the future. All you can do is prepare for the coming battle as best as your experience dictates.” Aurora stepped back, pulled the hilt of her saber from its clip on her belt, and assumed a fighting stance, her blade still deactivated. “Just take solace in knowing that you did the best that you could do and whatever happens, happens.” With that she saber snap-hissed to life. “I wouldn’t worry too much about droid fighter, granted I’ll give then just as much respect that I would to a fighter ace, but if it’s just a machine that was made by someone. It’ll have it’s strengths and weakness, we’ll just have to probe for it.” She grinned as her lightsaber blade shot forwards in a feint attack, probing for an opening in her masters’ defenses.

Onderon, Iziz Bazaar

Melissa stood by the door, lost in her own little world as she watched the young man who was now her boss inspects the droids he was interested in. when he entered into negotiations with the shopkeeper she turned her gaze out the window and watched the crew pass by.
“That would be fine. I need to pack my things and tell my boss I’m leaving. What time and what docking bay are you in?” She asked, exiting the store and walking back out into the crowed street.

"Docking Bay 36." Randall said. "I'll be in the ship, fine-tuning T9. Whenever you're ready, just come knowck on the port-door. I'll try and have a room cleared out for you pretty soon." Waving Goodbye to Melissa he held his hand out to his new employee, business associate, and friend. "So far, it's been a pleasure working with you."

She smiles and accepted the offered hand.
“Very well, I’ll see you come morning, and the pleasures all mine.” She shook his hand firmly and released it to wave good-bye as she stood there watching the boy and his droid disappear into the crowd as she made a mental list of thing she had to attend to before the morning.

"Yes, my lord," Marie said respectfully. "I wanted to show Jakar here my pride and joy."
