One of the villains in a swashbuckling game I ran killed off one of the players' favorite NPCs by stabbing him through one of the lungs saying "This is getting rather heavy. Hold it for me."

Streamjumper wingedbunnie Streamjumper wingedbunnie You don't sheath rapiers. talk2hand You have to be able to sheathe them, since some of the coolest swashbuckler (which reminds me, we need bucklers to swash) things come from a sheathes sword. One of the threats was to shake your scabbared rapier, making a rattling sound reminding people that you had a weapon and were more than happy to use it. The other was if someone bumped your scabbard, it meant they were dissing your skill and you could call them on it. ((We don't have very many sheild type items at all, do we? Only one that comes to mind is that Spartan one... Gee! No wonder the Battle System refuses to be released! xD )) So what you're saying is you want to be able to shake your sheathed rapier, now? Animated avatars, all the way!! What would be even better is if we could just get some scabbards. No swords in them, just the scabbards themselves. Because no one walks around with swords in hand without some place to put them. I find that even more strange then being unable to sheath a sword. =/ I'd be nice to have scabbards for both the katana and rapier be hand-holdable too... since both weapons have fighting styles that involve using the scabbard (Katana has a few where the saya is an offhand weapon and the rapier has quite a few, including ones where you use the scabbard mainly to ******** up the other guy's footwork). One thing I somewhat anticipate is a bunch of morons beginning topics of rapier vs katana. Oh, this is true. I must admit, though, that I don't hear too much on fighting styles with two weapons that use the scabbard itself. Usually, the characters would go double sworded with a smaller sword made for complementing the main sword, like a Main Gauche, or throwing daggers, or such. But I have to admit, the idea of smacking people with a scabbard is an appealing one. The sheaths are easy to give intricate designs to, also. Oh, those would be amusing. Everyone should know that the best sword is the Aegis Sword, anyway. talk2hand

D: Mine have a tendency to not stick around very long... ((I do like RaeRae's suggestion, though. ninja ))

Akimbo hilaroma So guys...that Panthera-whatchamacallit has gone up in price since it came out this afternoon. Started out being sold for 149 cash in the cash shop. Now it is 399 cash. confused There's an announcement in SF by Lanzer saying that the original price was a mistake, so that's why it's been changed. I really hope that's true... =/
And amazed at how many people are bitching that it's a conspiracy on Gaia's behalf to suck more money out of them because it was selling too well. sweatdrop
