-Band-Geek1101 you knnow you're a band geek when.. All of your grades can go down and you parents can take away your video games and you don't care, but when they threaten to take away your instrument you plead and beg and hate them when they do.. My mom's used that threat more than once. and you know your a band geek when your biggest crush is the freshman alto sax.....I stole #42 from lovely_velvet_rose's post above me and put in alto.... ...................you bring your band shirt to walmart and don't think anytihng of it.But at the table you always act like it's you'r uniform(especialy if the thing is over 2 years old and a tad tight)

You know your a band nerd when...
-In a non-band class someone from the band starts singing a band song, and the rest of the band kids join in singing their own parts. So then you have the rest of the class and the teacher staring at the group like, "wtf?" And no one cares too much...
-When you party more than anyone else during the fall, with at least one party to go to every week. ;]
-You can just look at a non band person and know what they would playif they did.
-You hear one chord and can recognize it from fifty other songs.

when you can tell exactly when and where the mistake in a song is made
know every song you've ever played
find yourself whistling band songs 24/7 (happens whenever its too quite...I almost started whistling during exams in school and nearly went mad)

You know your a band geek when you start collinting band music that the leader said you could keep.
Also you know your a band geek when you sart humming the songs your playing in the middle of class.

You know you're a band geek when you constantly complain about how crappy your horn is and how you want a better model, but if somebody accidentally kicks it (when it's in its case) you scream your head off.
Oh. And also when you plot of stealing something (obviously not actually stealing), it always turns out to be a pro/custom made horn that your much more fortunate fellow bandies has. My friends all have really nice Bach trumpets...I'm really jealous. I have a pretty crappy student model Yamaha...*grumble grumble* <--- see previous paragraph.

When you see that Visa commercial that says "Why do you show up five hours before kickoff?? BECAUSE YOU'RE A FAN" (well, something like that, I don't remember exactly) and you think "Pfft, I've shown up earlier than that."
When lunch is at 9:30 am.
When you prefer the band arrangements of songs to the actual recorded versions.

you know your a band geek when...(im guilty of all)
the bd scares the living daylights outta everyone but hes your favorite teacher
when you call alto sax cork grease the magical chapstick
when you only have to practice 150 minutes a week and you look at your practice card and see 320
when you are attempting to avoid hw and so you practice like your ocd on two measures of a song
when your ice skating team decides on a song, you find the music to play it so you can "get the beat"
when the only reason you can survive a school day is because you have band 6th period.
