I can reach Super E!!
Super F once!!
Although... if I play higher than top D, I still get that throbbing pain in the back of my head afterwards.

Wow, most of you are too pro xD
I just switched instruments this year (trombone to trumpet) and I struggle a lot with the high notes. My highest is the C is the B flat concert.

I guess I still have some work to do..

Well, you did just completely switch clefs, soo.... yeah. Sounds like you're doing pretty decent for a beginner. If you really want to work on getting the endurance for higher notes, I would suggest doing long tones to warm up and then see where you can go from there. wink

I used to go about as high as many of you...but my range has faltered quite a bit scince I started focussing on other instruments...I have trouble with the lower notes, and I don't usually get past high G when I practice my open-valve lip slurs.... I'm going to have to work on that again... >->

Geodesic Glycerin
my...trumpet...broke...

I opened the case, and a tube was off. It's a lower end trumpet, and the person my BD took it to for fixing says she doesn't think the matal is strong enough to handle being welded.

I just- I'm so....I can't stop crying.

oh. thats so sad! sad if that happened to my silver trumpet i would cry! crying i already almost lost it once >.< i wasn't happy with out it. (wow i am such a band geek xp) i feel sorry for you. (nice name for it though:])

((by the way i have two trumpets. one for practice at school and performences[the silver one] and onther for practice at home.))

I can't afford a new one (not that i want a new one, lucas was the best) at the moment, because I'm too busy saving up for the band trip, too.

it's still playable the way it is, I can put the part that came off back on, but I can also take it off, and I'm scared it may get worse...as I said, it's a lower end trumpet....

High c isn't a very high note.. and valve trombone isn't like a trumpet it's like a trombone except with valves (omg who would have guessed?!?!? <;0P) just because an instrument looks similar too another instrument doesn't mean it is. Like a clarinet and an oboe they look similar but they're completely different.

i've never actually SEEN a slide trumpet...but i'm pretty sure it would be the same...i mean, it would just be a different look if it sounds the same as a trumpet and in the same key...o.O but like i said...i don't know...i've seen a slide saxophone before biggrin that was pretty cool...it was still a sax though o.O...>_> so...meh..
