Neither of us are practicing Christians, so that's that out of the way. As for her expectations, from what she's said lately, all she really wants for Christmas is to see me. We're getting a lot closer than we ever have been lately, she's been opening up way more.

Peppermint Elf Great Tattooist Oni So AG, I could use a bit of help. The other night I asked Katrina what I had to do to convince her to say yes. She said "Something spectacular." Until last night I was pretty lost as to what that spectacular thing could be. We were talking about me coming home for Christmas and I asked her what her and her mother were doing, so I could plan around it. Apparently her mother is going somewhere for Christmas, leaving Katrina alone. This is of course completely unacceptable, but it gives me an opportunity.
I want to give her a great Christmas that she'll never forget, so I'd love to hear some suggestions as I begin to craft it for her. LOVE. This is one of my favoritist SNL skits ever. Actually, it's probably the best. But running a close second is this.

Spider, I'm not so good at the lurrrvin'/romance thing, or else I would give you some more useful advice sweatdrop But what I can tell you is that if I were her, for Christmas I'd just want to be treated like a lady and have whoever I'm with be a complete gentleman to me. She deserves to be treated like a princess, ne? 3nodding I haven't been around as much, so I've probably missed some things about the whole situation, but it seems like with the feeling you have toward her, you should be able to come up with something just wonderful. Just make sure to be yourself and don't go all super out to impress her, which it seems like you already have in mind. Good luck with amazing the socks off of her heart

As a final side note, I'm eight days until my last day of classes!! Which is so exciting and not all at once. I'm lovin' the English and everything over here, but it'll be nice to get back to America. But I'm going to Italy for a week before that.. which should be SO AMAZING. Also, I'm giving things away in my inventory that aren't blurred out. It's mostly just random stuff, not a whole lot, but if you're looking for some free commons/inks/etc, I have just a little bit. I lurves you guild, and in a few weeks, I'll have all of Christmas break to spend with you!! Hooray 4laugh

Great Tattooist Oni So, I probably didn't mention that the tattoo is done. Gaze in wonderment, AG. I'll say straight out, the skin and hair tone didn't turn out as I was expecting, but then again, I don't know Katrina. That said, it looks far more... badass beautiful delightful vivid than I was expecting. eek

Great Tattooist Oni Dr. Fomite Unlikely that it's the answer you want, but if you want to do something really special for her - date her for a few years without putting pressure on her for a final answer. Get to know her in the way you can't know somebody in a short amount of time. Be there for her when things are good or bad and prove that this isn't just the passion and excitement when first getting into a relationship. Prove through action that you're going to be there for her forever.
It may not be as flashy as a big Christmas "event" but it's a hell of a lot more meaningful and spectacular and I would think the yes would be more certain and genuine than anything you'll get after this short a time.
But seriously, you aren't really evaluating the situation correctly. You can be sure that we're able to handle the future of our relationship just fine. I'm not pressuring her into anything and she isn't about to accept any pressure to do anything. I've laid my feelings out on the table and the decision is hers.
Now the actual issue at hand here is how to give her the Christmas she deserves. I don't want some flashy event, I want an intimate and genuine Christmas with the woman I love.
But I'm sure a lot is lost in translation.
Or, since we're being like that, urdoinitwrong.
Still. Expected to be blown off, so no loss. Have fun with the Christmas thing.

My boyfriends never did anything extraordinary for me for Christmas or my birthday (well, old roommate got me an awesome guitar...) but I didn't do anything extraordinary for them as well. I kinda feel bad for guys sometimes, with the pressure of wooing the girl, but that's how it fits out evolutionary. Makes sense and all... showing off their caring and their resources. Ah, that wasn't my point. My point is is that my imaginary boyfriend will be in the doghouse this year!!
It warms my heart to know that some of these AG girlfriends will get to see their boyfriends around this time... well, Zelo and Rave, and hopefully Ed and Aki. That must be the best present of all... spending some time with the one you love. heart heart heart
