Peppermint Elf Cynder Note to all Deathnote fans! The first live action movie is freaking awesome! My Fiance and I saw it a while back thanks to a friend of hers. It cuts out a lot of the frilly bits, but focuses almost exclusively on the L vs. Light conflict. Haven't had a chance to watch the second one yet, but if it's anything like the first it should be awesome. Also, is it just me or does it look like L never sleeps and just lives on sugar? I've seen the 2nd part.. and all I will say is that it ends how the book should have ended.
An epic ending. Seriously.I downloaded it a while back but the video was broken. gonk And now, unrelated vidya gaem story (mostly for Stream)! Before I start, understand that my opinion of the Warhammer 40k universe is a bit low, and I think the setting is a bit angsty. I was looking at PSP games recently and noticed the WH40k game. I decided to take a look at it because the box had the accused "Tactical combat system" tag on it. This, of course, is the one thing that will make me try ANY video game. So I try it, and get caught up in the system. flash forward 4 hours, because I've been taking my time. I beat a mission, and in the unlocked stuff area I see that my marines can use the signiature chain sword. And then I chuckle. At this point it finally hits me... I've been enjoying something Warhammer 40k. I actually got to see the almost disgusted look on my own face in the mirror as a cursed myself. scream gonk rofl

hilaroma TweedleKeys hilaroma TweedleKeys hilaroma So I made it safely to SoCal and everything. Today we've been preparing everything for an early Thanksgiving dinner amongst friends. This is my first turkey I've cooked mostly by myself. I hope it turns out okay... sweatdrop Yay. Are you going to brine it? I found that worked well back when I used to do the full cooking thing. ...except that one year my oven filament burnt out 5 minutes into cooking the turkey on Thanksgiving day... no one would come to replace it for a week.I didn't brine it, I just kind of did what my parents usually do. Stuffed, basted, in a bag...and it's still cooking. I'll have to try a new method next time I do one of these, even if this does work out. Trying new things is fun! heart Ah, I didn't realize you guys were doing it that early. Sounds like it's pretty tried and true. Have fun and enjoy. I'm so happy because it actually turned out good. I was worried because I don't know how to carve a turkey, but one guy at our party mysteriously knew how so we were saved. whee In addition to the turkey (which was a collaboration effort, but mostly done by me) I also cooked mashed potatoes, gravy, and tonjiru (Japanese pork/miso soup with veggies and stuff) entirely by myself. The gravy was the only thing that was kind of a mis-fire because it just took forever to thicken. It was better than the other gravy miserable failure my friends tried making though. I am proud. lol My feet and back hurt so bad during and after cooking though, because I basically spent the whole day standing barefoot on stone tile cooking because my friends don't allow shoes in their house. sweatdrop What did you try to thicken your gravy with?

If you don't like the woe and suffering angle the universe focuses on, try checking out the Tau. Its kinda nice being the de-facto good guys... and enjoying the glorious advantage of basic troop weaponry that exceeds many armies elite weapon choices in AP, range, strength, firing rate... and can be sent downrange in volleys that can only be described as a "withering hail of fire". FOR THE GREATER GOOD!

I started the 3rd book in like... 8th grade, but someone stole it out of the girls locker room. It was signed and everything- I totally cried. My mom's boyfriend bought me another copy last Christmas, but I just haven't gotten around to reading it though. Question- What do you think of Nicole Kidman? I was kind of skeptical at first, just because I've been building this world in my head for so long, but now that I've seen the previews, she (and everything else) looks exactly like what was wandering around in my imagination for so long. Her specifically. It's... freakin' awesome, imo. Drive to NY and go to the movies with me! No one here is excited xD

My mom usually uses "Wondra" flour to thicken it, but we didn't have that so we used regular flour like...shaken in with water so it wouldn't clump, and then added it to the chicken stock/turkey drippings mix. It didn't taste bad, but it was still pretty thin. Funny thing was, it ended up thickening on its own about an hour later. Figures... rofl
