------- ------- Kÿos cocked his head slightly. "Do you know of a demon by the name of Stryker or Strykerius? If so, then I know something that will very much interest you about him," he said with amusement. He had little doubt that Stryker was around, as even after finding his way around his father's curse, the demon-demigod wasn't one to hide for long. He suspected it would surprise Amelia to know that Stryker was really the son of the Greek god Apollo, whom he could sense even now although it seemed the immortal was a bit weaker than he recalled. A low, soft laughter seemed to float and simultaneously fade in the bedroom with Amelia and Kÿos. -------

Amelia looked at Kyos thoughtfully. The name he mentioned seemed oddly familiar, but she couldn't place it. She had done so much research the last few days that it seemed as if her mind was bursting with information. "It sounds familiar. Why don't you tell me about him?" She stopped and looked around the room when she heard the laughter around them before it faded away. Where had that come from? Who had it come from?

------- ------- Kÿos chuckled. "He was born, at least when I awoke to what I am, almost precisely 11,114 years ago... and if what I sense is correct... roughly 1,300 years have passed since Mai sealed me away, which would make him around 12,500 years old, give or take thirty or forty years," he said quietly with his eyes closed. That made Kÿos himself around 1,900 years old, though he looked no older than mid twenties. "He was born as the eldest of ten, though he was born of a Greek queen. His father secreted him away soon after his birth at one of his temples, though his father... being a fickle b*****d, made a rash proclamation at his wedding... 'Through you and your kin, I live. As long as this line exists, so will I.' For being a god of prophecy, he wasn't very bright, since he soon fostered another bloodline through the Atlantean royal lineage that had the same vow. Although when war broke out between Atlantis and Greece, Stryker's father leaned toward Atlantis' side although he was not of their pantheon. The Greeks, however, seduced him with one of their princesses... Ryssa of Didymos... and my brothers' sister. It was when she was murdered along with her son that Stryker's father stupidly forgot the wedding oath he'd made and cursed the entire race that was involved... the Apollites, who happened to include Strykerius himself... he cursed them to feed in one another's blood for survival, cursed them with animal-like natures, and cursed them in two critical ways: they were banished from ever going into sunlight and they were cursed to die at the same age Ryssa had been... three times three times three years of age. For that, Stryker swore eternal hatred towards his father," he said quietly. He knew Amelia would figure out that Stryker's father was none other than Apollo, the Greek god of the Sun and Prophecy. -------

Amelia's eyes widened when it hit her. It had hit her when he said Apollites. "He is Apollo's son?" It was amazing to learn who people's parents were. She reached over and touched Kyos' face gently. "How about we talk about this later. It is such a sad thing to be treated that way by family." She was quiet for a moment. "There is something else that has been on my mind though. For my whole life I have been blind. I only got any sight by looking through Nala's eyes. Now though....I can see perfectly. It happened the moment you came free from that pit. Why do you think that is?"

------- ------- Kÿos nodded slightly. "As to your sight, I do not know why it was restored. I would not be all that surprised if you gained something when the seal broke in addition to your sight, perhaps a sensory talent of some kind," he said quietly, thinking. -------

Kaosujin Ryu [/quote "It is so strange to be able to see through my own eyes," Amelia said with a small smile. "It is a blessing to be able to see you." Her head tilted to the side when Kyos said maybe she had received something else other than her sight. "Perhaps. Only time will tell I suppose."

------- ------- Kÿos tilted his head with a slight smile. "I still remember when I was human... Hephaestus had made Mai and I weapons meant to protect ourselves, though intriguingly it created an intriguing secondary effect," he said softly, fairly sure she'd be very curious as to what he meant. The weapons had indeed been enchanted and charged through magical means, yet what had happened when they'd touched said weapons... was quite unique. -------

Amelia shifted in the bed, pressing close to Kyos. She ran her hand through his hair lightly. "What happened?" She was indeed curious as to what had happened when the two of them had touched the weapons.

------- ------- Kÿos shivered slightly as he felt Amelia pressing against his shoulder and back as her fingers trailed through his hair. "It apparently awakened spiritual guides with strong elemental affinities within us... over the years and decades... certain incidents caused them to merge with Mai and I, increasing our powers, although Tatsushin was a bit stubborn... his partner, not so much... one of the first was where the embodiment of Chaos itself... darkness... tried to kill us while our spirits and minds were merged... she failed, though in the process I'd gained another partner from a purified spear of darkness that had been driven through my shoulder and upper chest," he said softly. He felt her fingers trail over his right shoulder, where a dip in his muscles partially hid a scar that was a deep tanned color with violet veins radiating from it just beneath his collarbone, the wound he'd just referred to. -------

Amelia listened silently to Kyos as he spoke. Absentmindedly she ran her fingers along his skin. She looked down when she felt the dip in his muscles. She knew that this was the wound of which he spoke. Silently she leaned her head down and kissed the scar gently all over, not missing one spot. "It is amazing...the things that we can survive."

------- ------- Kÿos exhaled slowly, shivering ever so slightly. "True. I did find that that spear had given me a partner able to manipulate darkness and shadows... though at the same time it tainted a part of me... awakened a darker side deep within me that I've fortunately had enough time to tame to some extent," he said softly, feeling her fingers idly drifting over his skin. -------

Amelia rested against Kyos, her arm going around his waist. "We all have a dark side to some extent. We all have to learn how to live with out demons...how to control them." She murmured softly. She was thinking back to her own past. Of a time when she had used dark magic in the attempt to bring someone back from the dead. It was a terrible mistake and awoke a dark, vengeful side inside of her that she did not like to see.

------- ------- Kÿos sighed softly. "I still remember the flashes from when it initially broke free... after Mai and my mother both put powerful psychic restraints on it. Tarkatans are a race well known for their bloodlust and brutality that would make the worst ancient Spartans, ancient Romans, and ancient Persians combined look like a child with a temper tantrum... what 'it' did ... had a race feared that badly reduced to trembling babes," he said softly. He had personally faced it himself, and it was extremely sadistic, bloody, and brutal... yet at the same time, there were things even it wouldn't do, such as harming a child or leaving one in any obvious state of abuse. -------

Amelia moved around slightly to be able to look Kyos in the eyes. "Hey, let's stop talking about depressing things, okay? Right now we have each other and we're both safe...happy." She kissed both corners of his mouth. She could feel something stirring deep inside of her...the darkness that she kept at bay. By trying to bring back the dead, which should never be done she had invited something in. It was wholly evil, not caring who was harmed and how.

------- ------- Kÿos tilted his head slightly, inhaling slowly and deeply of Amelia's scent. "Who says we have to talk? I'd rather see you moan," he murmured as he lazily let his hands trail lightly over Amelia's skin, massaging the silky skin and muscles beneath as his hips idly shifted; he knew when she inhaled sharply that she'd noticed he was very aroused. ------- Hyómai sighed, rolling over on the bed restlessly. Her dark silvery gray eyes were locked on the window after the girl had left her to bathe. She wore dark bluish indigo sweatpants with a rose squarely below her navel along with dark gray slippers and a white tee shirt that seemed to strain to hold her assets in. Her body had enough muscle that it was highly desirable, but not so much to be disturbing. The coal colored simian tail wrapped around her hips and twitched ever so slightly with her boredom.
