Wheatear Open fields are filled with peace and harmony... #~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~# [Wheatear pricked his ears and sniffed around. It wasn't long before he scented a mouse nibbling on some seeds. He got into a hunter's crouch, keeping his belly low to the ground. Once he was close he pounced and killed the mouse. He saw a finch on the ground just a few feet away from him. He pounced but missed.] [It took off but he wasnt going to let this one go. He jumped into the air and took hold of the bird, slamming it to the ground. He bit its neck hard and smiled at the three she-cats.] #~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~#

Icestorm smiled at Wheatear. "Nice
catch." She commented. She herself dropped into a hunters
crouch. Creeping slowly she targeted a rabbit that was grooming
itself near a tree. Once she was close enough, she moved
quickly and in one swift bite ended the rabbits life. She brought
the kill back to the others.

[Barkwind glanced at Cinderstreak, her nervously growing, seeing that he was obviously hurt. 'What should I do? Should I help? Or would I make things worse? Should I ignore it? But how can I? Ohh....' ] "Um, er, you okay?"
[She cast her down, 'What a stupid question. OF course he's not okay, mousebrain!' She laughed nervously,] "Sorry."
[Barkwind gritted her teeth, her pelt prickling. 'Now he's going to think I'm worthless. And dumb. I'm no different than a pitiful kit!' Barkwinds muzzle curved in an unhappy frown, keeping her ears perked. 'Don't break down. Back.']
[Barkwind grasped her nerves, and her composure returned. She hardened her lips into a straight line, and emptied her eyes. 'I'm fine! Ish....' Her composure faltered for a second, but immediately returned.] "Heh."
((I changed the post style, because I'm a jerk 8D Lyrics from boats and birds. Awesome song :3 ))

"Um, it's just a thorn," I meowed, glancing at my paw. It was starting to throb. I blinked, and lifted my paw back up to examine it. I sighed, tugging at it once more. It moved slightly, and pain shot through his paw. He hissed slightly. "I'll be fine, I guess," I reassured when I looked up and saw a very slight trace of nervousness in her eyes.]
Aww, she cares! Cinderstreak giggled, but I could sense an uneasiness in him.

[Leopard jolted awake as she heard a familiar voice. She looked up, seeing Cindermoon standing in the entrance. She yawned wearily, standing up. "Sure, I'm hungry," she meowed, trotting over to Cindermoon. [She sat down, and looked curiously out the den.] "I think I'll eat out there, though. I've slept long enough." She purred in amusement, twitching her tail.

"I guess I am," I purred at Wheatear. "Oh, you're on!"
[I watched him catch the bird, a mischevious grin on my face. I gotta catch up!
I remained hidden, watching a mouse and a squirrel pad by. I wasn't focusing on them-I needed to catch something big, and worthy of comparison with Wheatear's bird.
Finally, my patience was rewarded. A giant, fat rabbit, a rare occasion in StormClan, slowly peeked around a tree trunk. It padded forward cautiously and nibbled at the grass around the tree.
I narrowed my eyes and began to stalk it, my ears flat against my head and my eyes locked in concentration.
Just as I was within kill-range, I stepped on a twig. The rabbit shot off immediately. I sprang from the bush, giving chase to the speedy rabbit. It twisted and turned in the underbrush. Anyone unaccustomed to StormClan territory would have lost the prey in the tangled maze, but this was my home. I slipped past the twigs and roots with ease, gaining on the rabbit.
I forced it into a dead end, and as it tried to make a sharp turn to the left I pounced and delivered a kill-bite to its neck, effectively winning my prize.
On my way back, a squirrel munching on some nuts was tempting enough for me to chase once more, and I caught the squirrel and carried it along with my rabbit.
I padded proudly back to the others, digging a big hole to bury the large rabbit and squirrel in temporarily. I licked my lips longingly, but finished covering it up and continued searching for more prey.]

Icestorm focused on the bird. It was quite
big, brown colored with little white spots, larger than most other
birds. Once in range, Icestorm pounced. The bird took her on,
digging its claws into the warrior's fur. Icestorm determined to
win, aimed for the birds neck. It proved difficult but in the end
Icestorm was successful. She picked up the bird and trotted
back to her friends.

"Oh, er... Okay." [Barkwind cast ANOTHER nervous glance at Cinderwing, this time directed at his paw.] "If your sure..."
"Uhm... Heh. I'm just going to... go catch a bird now." [She smiled with unease and slipped into the woods.]
['I felt so... Nervous! Why? It was only a thorn, it was fine. You shouldn't have even been nervous. You should have been worried at the least' Barkwind starred at a dead leaf for a second, her eyes glazed over. Suddenly, she heard a snap. 'It was nothing' She thought, dismissing it.]
['Just hunt. No thought.' Barkwind spotted a Magpie, pecking at a small gold thing, it's eyes almost glazed over in interest. 'No sweat, I can catch this.' Barkwind reassured herself, as she slowly stalked toward the bird, her eyes intent, with concentration.]
[She paused, and she bunched up her hind legs, and shot forward, ready to catch... 'I wonder if he was hu-' The thought popped into her mind, and she crashed into the ground head first, the Magpie taking off in a flurry of feathers.]
['I wasn't supposed to think! Why?' Barkwind sighed, her eyes dull. 'But of course. It's me Barkwind. No surprise there.']
[She picked herself up, and was about to pad away when she was suddenly blinded by a small sheen. She took a step back, out of the glare. 'The gold thing...']
[Barkwind cautiously sniffed it, and licked it, her tongue gliding smoothly over the strange material. 'Bleck,' She drew back in disgust. 'It tastes like... Blood... But I don't want it to go to waste soo...' Barkwind quickly dug a hole, and scuffed the golden circle into it.]
['What about hunting!' Barkwind sniffed, and managed to find a old decrepit mouse, slowly making it's way to it's den. She quickly snapped it up with ease, and did a quick prayer to Starclan, and padded back to Cinderstreak, avoiding eyecontact]

I yowled, but quickly shut myself up, noticing Barkwind standing there. I smiled at her, but I doubt she noticed. She was staring at something else.
I licked the blood off my paw, and looked at Barkwind once more. I blinked in puzzlement.] "A-Are you okay?" I asked curiously. [My gray tail twitched slightly, and I gazed at Barkwind.
A warning call from a bird echoing through the forest snapped me out of it. I glared at the passing bird in the sky, spitting a few curses at it.] "Foxdunged bird," I grumbled, almost forgetting Barkwind was there.
Mousebrain, there's a she-cat present! Cinderstreak growled, and I shut up.
I laughed in a slightly nervous way. "Sorry," I meowed, my ears growing warm.
You could at least try to act like me, mousebrain! I would never use that kind of speak in front of a she-cat!
Oh, stop it! I'm not you, am I?!
Well, you're in my body!
[I ignored Cinderstreak, glancing at Barkwind once more.] "Well, that bird ruined our chances of catching anything," I meowed quietly. "We should go get our prey."
