Icee already told us what to do about Points in the Staffroom. I'm not sure if the other posts have been fixed yet or not but, that what we are suppose to be going by for now.

Tina, this point protocol you mentioned is news to me, but then I only ever knew the point rules from the first post in the staff room which was pretty vague on that point. sweatdrop Your assessment sounds better.
Actually, I'm not sure if the Entrance Hall ever mentions how many points Teachers can award, but if it does, I'll make sure it gets updated before the classes begin. Icee, I don't remember any other rule about those points other than what's already stated in the Staff Room. I'll go by whatever you and the other mods think best.

OO! That's what it is. I didn't check the first page of the staff room. It's at the most 20 points per assignment. I'll change my other post then. Unless everyone would prefer to go with Avatar's assessment. I remember that was brought up before, but teachers at the time didn't like being limited more than they were already limited or something sweatdrop

I think there has to be a limit. Otherwise one teacher will be giving classwork for 10 Points and another for 50. We should reach an agreement.

I think there needs to be limits too. I like the limits that Avatar said. 10 points for homework/classwork and 20 points for exams (maybe 25?).
Some do kind of get around the points thing by offering both homework AND classwork, or by offering extra credit though.
Juni: Both the Entrance Hall and the Halls of Learning (staff room apparently) say no more than 20 points for an assignment last time I checked.

I think 10 point for homework/classwork should be enough points to give a student for finishing an assignment. But if they have homework and classroom maybe 15 points. 5 extra points for completing classwork. If they want to give extra credit I say no more than 5 points.

For my classes though, I would like to give up to 10 Points for Homework/Classwork, Extra Credit worth up to 5, and Finals worth up to 20.
I'm picking these because, I feel that more than that is just to much. In the books/movies they didn't just give Points for the heck of it. When they did give Points it was (usually) a small amount.

I really like your format best. I also think we should put a limit on what "extra credit" is. Only 3 extra credit opportunities per class.
Also, how it stands we don't really regulate how you guys deduct points. But if we're going to use Tina's suggestion point deductions should be half the points of the original assignment. Sound fair?

Thanks Icee. So, you think we shouldn't have Extra Credit with every Lesson/Homework. Three opportunities sounds good to me. Especially since most teacher only post 3-4 Lessons.
As for deducting points I think we all have different opinions. Such as mine would be, if you signed up for the class and didn't do the Homework (and you didn't post in the SMB or send the teacher a pm telling us what was going on) then 5 Points will be deducted. So if you mean taking 5 points from 10, I agree that that sounds fair.
Also, how much should we deduct if someone doesn't post in their House color?

To everyone who feels that Slytherin has an unfair advantage because they have so many more active members than everyone else: even though that complaint isn't true, there's a reason it seems like that. Slytherins work together very well (for instance DownAzzLette has been PMing/commenting her fellow members to see what they've been up to if they're inactive), they encourage each other to take classes, etc. These are just a few ways that you can help your House win the next House Cup!

Is this the final for the Points? Classes are so close. If that is it we should post it in The Staff Room, if not what else do we need to talk about?

Okay, so as you know I've taken over the Trolley Witch and the Conductor (just not the first and final posts) and I was talking to Jun about posting my numbers from the Express in the Filling Cabinet. So, that's what I'm asking. Do you want me to post the Points too or do you want that to stay a Mod job. And was there suppose to be a reward? (Jun's post is above)
