Jaeshan drained the last of his cocoa, and set the mug down a little harder than necessary. "I'll be honest," he said, looking away from Jenna. "I severely dislike people who use Pokemon. They aren't machines, or mindless for that manner. They have thoughts, feelings, values, opinions. Anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't deserve to be a trainer," he said, his voice firm.

Jenna wasn't surprised by either of their responses; she knew that most people were very fond of their pokemon and treated them as equals. However, she couldn't help but throw out one last bit of bait. "What about at the games center in Celadon? Don't they raffle off pokemon there? Isn't that a kind of slavery? And what about the pokemon we capture in the wild? Aren't we taking them away from their natural habitat and forcing them into a lifetime of servitude? I mean, if you weaken a pokemon enough, it has no choice whether to go into a pokeball, be it a pidgey or a zapdos. Then its' stuck until you release it. I think trainers should spend a bit more time thinking about that before they decide to become trainers." Jenna said, finishing off her cocoa and taking her mug to the sink. She stood their and rinsed it, waiting for their answers. This is where I'll get my real research done; asking the tough questions. Anyone can answer 'its' about love and teamwork'...let's see what they say about this. she thought to herself, a smile playing over her lips as her back was turned to them while the tap ran.

"Did you know that the game corner in Celadon City is run by Team Rocket?" Jaeshan asked casually, standing up. He took his mug over to the counter and leaned against it, looking down at the remains of the brown liquid. "As Venerax stated, Team Rocket uses Pokemon for evil, and aren't prone to care about their thoughts or feelings." He swirled the cocoa in the cup, not making eye contact with either of them, letting them both register what he'd just said. "Did you also consider that you'd be taking a Pokemon from its habitat when you obtained your Pokemon?" he countered to Jenna, but didn't press on the matter. He hesitated a few moments before continuing. "It wasn't easy for me to decide to become a trainer, actually, it was something I considered carefully for many years. One of the reasons I'm not as young as a lot of the trainers you see out there. But after many years of thought, I realized it was something I would like to do. My inital purpose wasn't only to 'catch them all,' like some trainers think. I became a trainer because I wanted to learn more about Pokemon, to see them grow and also grow with them. I want to learn from them. And to be honest again," he smiled at her, "Pokemon aren't just stupid beasts. If they don't want you for a trainer, they will let you know. Then it is up to the trainer to decide if they wish to release the unwilling captive."

Venerax didn't reply to any of it. Team Rocket! Then I probably shouldn't bring up that I'm a regular there. He took another sip of his cocoa. Or that I won Cal from there.
Venerax swished the last remants of the cocoa in the bottom of his cup. He'd been accused of being apart of Team Rocket by the freak storm that had hit him outside the museum. I won the fossil fair and square, and besides though what I do isn't exactly legal, that doesn't mean I'm anything like Team Rocket.
"Team Rocket runs the Game Corner!" Venerax shook his head. "Celadon city's my hometown, and I didn't even know."

Jenna thought about all that for a minute, respecting Venerax and Jaeshin the more she talked to them. However, neither of them had answered her question. She let it pass, wanting to explain how she had obtained her Clefairy, Belle. She started speaking in a soft voice. "When I was a bit younger, my dad and I were out hiking near Mount Moon. We'd been gone from Lavender town for a long time, but I wasn't really worried about it. My dad's a great hiker and I knew he'd take good care of us. Anyways, after a couple of days wandering the area, we heard a wierd song. It sounded like a pokemon, but it didn't sound...right." She paused and ran her hands up and down her arms as if she was cold. "We followed the sound of the singing until we came to a livetrap. Inside was a tiny little clefairy, barely alive. Someone had left the trap there hoping to catch a pokemon then forgot about it. We freed her and took her to the nearest pokecenter over in Pewter city. She barely made it through. Belle's been with me ever since, but she's on the tiny side because of how long she was in that cage for...no food....no water." Jenna had to stop talking as the memory of it nearly overwhelmed her. After a moment, she finished vehemently. "Team Rocket and people like them are the scum of the earth. They're always thinking of new ways to take other people's pokemon, or mistreat the ones they have. I had to hide from two on my way through the Viridian Forest. They're looking for the girl who exploded Mount Moon on them." Jenna stopped, realizing she had rambled on again. Blushing and embarrassed, she grabbed a dishtowel and started drying her mug, not looking at Venerax or Jaeshin.

Jaeshan stopped and stared at her. "The girl who escaped Mount Moon? I know her, I battled her some time ago, actually." He stopped and set his mug down. "She barely got out of that cave alive, thanks to stinking Team Rocket." He clenched his fists, also reminded that he needed to call Kassie again. "I should give her a call tomorrow," he said to no one in particular."

Jenna gaped at him. "You know her? I was mistaken for a member of Team Rocket because of her. I got kicked out of a shop in Viridian City because of it. " she shook her head. "She's a hero! I heard she saved a couple of other people too. What's her name, anyways? I wouldnt' want to battle her. She sounds really tough!" Jenna's excitedness drained away into a huge yawn, which she covered with a hand politely. "Wow, your hot cocoa did the trick, Jaeshen. I'm just about ready to hit the hay." She smiled at him, her blue eyes drooping just a bit.

"Her names Kasiya, and she's pretty quick on the draw." He smiled. "She clobbered me with her pokemon, a Vaporeon, pikachu, and growlithe. Then deemed me the bad guy. Sneak theif I beleive my title is."

Jaeshan laughed out loud. "I'm pretty sure she wouldn't let anyone call her a hero, but yeah, she got two other trainers out just in time as well, although she now has a green Zubat from the encounter too. If it hadn't been for him, she'd never made it out of the caves." He chuckled to himself, trying to picture Kassie's Pokemon attacking Venerax. "That's my grandma's recipe," he nodded to Jenna, yawning himself. "It used to put me to sleep when I was little. What say you guys, shall we hit the sack and pick this up in the morning?"

Venerax nodded, yawning and stretching, and almost losing his robe. Got to stop doing too many things at once. "Sounds like a plan, a warm bed sounds good about now."

Nearly dropping her coffee mug as Venerax lost control of his robe, she whirled around and set it back down on the counter, nice and dry. Now deeply sleepy, Jenna was more than ready to head to bed. "Goodnight, guys. I guess I'll see you in the morning. It was nice talking to you both, and I'm really glad that we were able to find you, Venerax." she said, looking at him directly for a change. Yup, his eyes are still definately a beautiful hazel.... she smiled at him, then at Jaeshan, and headed off to her room with a wave of one hand, the other tugging at the baggy hospital-type pants she was wearing. I hope I get to meet Kasiya one day. . . That'd be one heck of an interviewshe thought to herself as she wandered down the hallway.

Ryka smiled at her new friend. "So, who do you plan to use in your battle?" She asked, already getting tired. Aurora was too, although occasionally trying out her new move on a wild Pokemon. I can tell Aurora's going to become an Espeon. She doesn't like the dark, or to stay up at night.

Tony sat there on a bench near the train station not quite sure as to what he should be doing. He had about 40 minutes until the train pulled up and he had no idea as to what to do. He had walked around town a bit but that was about it. He looked down at Weed and Phoenix who were sleeping on the ground. Alucard was flying around town not really tired at all. Haku was the only one there to keep him company.
Glancing down at the small water pokemon he smiled slightly at it. "You enjoy it there on my arm?"

Haku chirped on his arm and gave him a happy look. Chucking lightly Tony smiled at it slightly before leaning back into the bench and looked up staring up at the sky. "It's going to be a good night to night I feel Haku. " He wispered into the chilling air.
