RaeRae Rave Claire's never called back emo Did you ever try to call them? You know, just to check on the "status" of your application? Some places love that stuff, shows you're really interested.

Can anyone help me with getting event items for Psy? I'm working on the trick-or-treating items now and SHOULD be able to get a set of the human event items. But probably not the vampire event items.

Ashram McDuck So yeah ... I was given the bird by a nine year old today. You should have used your Gaijin Smash on him. That's where you wrench their head until you hear a pop and they go limp in your arms.... ooooh. That's how we make love in America.

If I do call, what do I say? I've never really done this before gonk Well, first you call and ask for the person you interviewed with. And then what I used to say was "Hi, my name's so and so, and I interviewed with you on , and I was wondering if I could check on the status of my application?"
Don't forget, she may have had other interviews in the past few weeks, and calling to check in is a way of asserting yourself and making yourself more noticeable as opposed to being part of the crowd. And it at least forces her to tell you whether you got the job or not. I hate it when they never call you back. It's just plain rude.
Of course, this was how it was done back in 1991, when I was fresh out of high school. rofl
It's a lot different now that I've got assloads of experience in two fields and a BA to back me up.

Just say to whoever answers the phone "Hi, my name's so and so, and I interviewed there on , and I was wondering if I could check on the status of my application?"
At the very least if the person who answers isn't a manager, they'll have to go get one.

Nobuko Ishihara Well, first you call and ask for the person you interviewed with.
It's a lot different now that I've got assloads of experience in two fields and a BA to back me up.That method still works. Two summers ago when I was job hunting, I ended up having to do that with every single place I applied to. Lame, but it worked. They eventually had to give me a yes/no answer so I wouldn't be led on thinking I could get a job. That's also how I ended up getting the job I did. The manager was really excited I called back since all the other people she had interviewed were flaky, and she hired me shortly after that. Happy ending. heart
