"You're right about that." Kei said and laughed. "I actually can't really believe that Sensei is interested in him. He doesn't seem her type at all." He sat down on the ground and pulled a blanket around him since it was getting colder out. He looked up at the sky through the glass of the greenhouse and let out a small sigh. "I guess you can never really tell about people. You could know someone your whole life and never actually know them."

Takeshi noticed the girl was slowing down, though his own body had weakened a little. "Why don't you just run along then or else you'll never eat again. Besides, she came here of her own will, did she not?"

Takeshi noticed the 'feathers' too late and grit his teeth in pain as a few loged themselves into an arm and leg. "Dammit!" he turned toward his new attacker, swords raised and an angry snarl on his face. "You ********! If you hit Koneko I'll make sure to kill you very slowly!" He couldn't really see her at the moment because Mamoru still blocked her from view. Three to one...I've had worse odds. He thought, but like Mamoru, he didn't know what this one was capable of. He's definitely a Jounin though. "It seems Konoha learned from the last time they sent someone after me."

Kaebu gave a small nod to Mamoru, returning the focus of his attention to Takeshi. His fingers shifted, and another volley of feathers went out at Takeshi. He had three rows on each wing, for Gaichou, but now he was down to four in total. However, the puppet could still 'fly' without it's dagger feathers, and there were a bunch of other hidden items within it's wood.

Kaebu narrowed his eyes slightly as he shifted. His fingers moved, and Gaichou shifted to dive-bomb Takeshi, though it pulled back just before it got into hitting range. That action was repeated a few times while the puppeteer seemed to think. Another swoop attack, and the wood and metal claws of the bird puppet extended, poison dripping from small needles in them, as the suna nin shifted his fingers differently, aiming for an attack at Takeshi's shoulder.

Kaebu frowned under his face wraps, just barely shifting Gaichou to avoid the kick. In response to the attack, he moved the puppet out of attack range again, before trying for another attack with the poisonous talons. This time, he had the bird swing around on one wing to try and get Takeshi's back.

Takeshi let out a curse as he felt the tallons scrape his skin, hoping that they weren't deep enough for the poison to effect him. This is going nowhere, I need to attack him, not the puppet. With a burst of speed he moved towards Kaebu, keeping one eye on the puppet. His swords were once again raised and he sent chakra into them to make them sharper.

Tori let out a soft groan as the gas that'd been used on her started to wear off. While she was still unconscious, her instincts were alerting her to danger. She started fighting against it, but only succeeded in having a pain shoot through her head, making her groan again.

As Kei and Mai-lin sat in the rather awkward silence, a loud crash was heard from inside the house. "Oh, no, that can't be good!" Kei jumped to his feet and held out his hand to Mai-lin. "We better go see what the puppies are up to."

Mamoru took a step back and when she was sure Takeshi was to busy with the battle. "Keep him busy Kaebusan, nee." She muttered before readjusting the sleeping nin on her back and taking a deep breath. WIth that she made sure she had a firm hold on the other before running off, back towards the village. "She's already starting to wake up, nee?"

Mai-lin took Kei's hand and pulled herself up with Kei's help. She followed him to the the house and looked down at her dog when they were inside. "Himi?" The dog just whined and covered her ears, almost in shame.
