"I see." he spoke, smirking, as he noticed her lookign at him. "I'm quite used to challenges of fights being made, everywhere I go. You see, as I travel, I get nicknames." He looked at the doctors, shaking his head at some of those, as some prepared for surgery, inspections, and other things. Him personally was very fond of needles, but he used them often. Every day he had to take several enzymes and a special chemical to stabilize his molecules and cells. He followed her quickly, praying not to get lost. He hated getting lost. "I hope you can find your way back..." he muttere, giving a small chuckle as he did so.

" I'm sure you do." Kali answered, trying to avoid the subject. Ahead she saw large double doors with small window panes, shining a yellow glint in the white floor. How early was it? She giggled excitedly, rushing toward the door as a breeze flashed through her hospital dress. "Let's go outside!" she stated, opening the door as a burst of cold, humid air rushed towards her. " Come on!" she ordered, stepping outside as her feet relaxed into sand brown-colored dirt. It wedged itself between her toes, making her shiver slightly. Glancing up, she was glad she could hear the birds singing above her.

He rushed out with her, giving a small chuckle, but the moment he went out, he gave a small yell as he fell to his knees, and closed his eyes, covering them up. He groped around for the button on his headset, to shield himself. He had forgotten that the visor had an auto-shutdown everytime he took a nap or went to sleep. Finally, the visor went from a see-through blue tint into full black, mirroring the surroundings. He opened his eyes again, being able to see, and shook his head as he got up, staggering. He leaned against the wall, panting. He was blind. He couldn't see.

Kali gasped lightly as she heard Atra yell, quickly turning around. She ran over over as she crawled to his knee. Stepping infront of him with a concerned look, she reached out with a caring hand. " Are you okay...?" she asked, tearing up slightly. It was all her fault, but why was she crying? She never cried anymore. Excluding te night before with Ikorino, she hadn't cried in three years. The tears felt odd as they rolled down her cheeks, as if they were something new to her. One rolled down her lips and left a salty taste in her mouth. She wanted it gone, yet welcomed it with gratitude. Did she have feelings for someone she barely knew?

"I-I'll be fine..." he grunted through gritted teeth. His eyes went white, hidden behind the mirrored visor, as he activated a spell. His wristbands were intricately laced with patterns and lines, instead of just one large tube, for reinforcing and the fact that each line contained a premade spell. The one he activated created a Watcher, transparent. It looked like a huge mass of boiling muscle and bubbles, with one large central eye that roughly two men could squeeze in, and it started to look around. Nothing happened. He couldn't see anything but black. Instead of the bright blue iris like Atra's it was grey, indicating blindness. Sighing, he moved his head around, and began to sniff slowly, now relying on his sense of hearing. "I can't see."

Kali gasped lightly as a Watcher appeared, taking a few steps back with widened eyes. " You can't see?" she asked in a desperate tone, looking towards the large eye on the Watcher with a terrified expression. What to do? He went blind because of her! Tears streamed down her face as a breeze pushed her long silver hair over one shoulder. She quickoy thought of what to do, not knowing how to handle the situation. She quickly leaned toward him for a tight embrace, sobbing lightly. " I'm sorry..." she whispered, sniffling softly. Why was she being so emotional? Why did she care so much? He was a stranger to her, not e friend. But was he a friend without her knowing it? She quickly became confused as these thoughts race through her mind.

"Don't be sorry..." he murmured, sighing, as he slid a finger across a band, letting the spell fade away. "I forgot to turn my visor on. It'll last for a few hours, that's all." He gave a soft laugh, as he rubbed his eyes under his visor, yawning. "It's what happens when you're part vampire. You get blinded depending how Pure you are." He was lucky that he was an Aquamorphosist. That meant his blood was extremely diluted. Even if he was pure vampire, he wouldn't even have been burned badly. But from being a mix of two races, as well as his special power, only blinded him, allowing him to still walk in light. "Besides..." he murmured, biting his lower lip, as he brushed her hair back. "The longer I'm blind, the safer I am."

Spooks smiled it was still typical old Dewei. Always questioning what she had done but never explaining what trouble he'd gotten into. She sighed and inspected the bandages on his back before answering.

"I did nothing just encourage the secretary to answer me and searched for your pain signature..."

She knew Dewei would be satisfied with that answer and she also knew Dewei couldn't search her mind for the truth unless she let him. It was one of the bonus of having phantasm abilities. She straightened out her hair to cover her eyes and sat on the edge of the bed beside Dewei.

"So what did you do?..."

***

Dewei smirked he knew Spooks was being vague but he accepted her answer as he always did. he grimaced as she sat down on the edge of bed although she had sat down gently even the slightest movement seemed to hurt him.

"I had an accident with a tree..."

Dewei laughed at his own words but gasped as the pain of laughter hurt him. He smiled to show a Shocked looking Spooks he was OK and then went on to speak once more.

"What i mean was i had a bit of a friendly fight with some girls and a boy; on my side of course. And well he tree got in the way..Totally accidental of course..."

He didnt want to send Spooks on another revenge route. She'd flipped out once before when someone had given him a black eye. He treasured Spooks although she wasn't real family she was as good as the only issue was the fact that she was more over protective of him then he was of her!

Kamaria watched as the blond girl walked of, although she felt somewhat annoyed with the girl for no reason she shouted rather loudly and somewhat sincerely;

"Hey thanks!..."

She then turned to face Marcus and smiled at his meek hi. At least he was alive. Form the looks of it he wasn't for off form dying when this blonde girl had healed him. For the first time in a long while Kamaria's old self come to light, the care free teenager with a soft sympathetic side. Using her slightly rested powers she summoned one of the emergency first aid trolleys placed aorund the room. The whole place seemed calmer now and its squeaking wheel could be heard as it rolled across the polished floor towards her, it stopped dead at her side and she took some of those daft horrible smelling antiseptic whips and took it upon herself to wipe some of the blood of Marcus; he looked a right state. Considering how strict and unmerciful she had been in battle, she suddenly had a rather soft timid touch as she tried to whip clean the blood.

"Hi...How are you feeling?..."

She let out a soft groan and slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a few times to get adjusted to the bright lights. When they finally came into focus she looked around as best she could while still laying down."Where am I?"she asked no one in particular. The door to her room opened and in walked a nurse. "Ah, I see the little one has woken up.Quite a long nap you took sweetie, but it's no surprise after what you went through."she said.Hatsu stared at her.
What I went through....she thought.
Then it all came back to her. "That boy..."she muttered. The nurse looked over at her."Hmm?Oh yes you were brought in by this young gentleman. He stayed for awhile and left when he saw you were okay."Hatsu thought for a moment.
He helped me....Well it was all his fault in the first place.
She sat up and started to get out of the bed. "Miss you can't leave yet.We still have to run a few tests to make sure you're alright."the nurse said.Hatsu walked over to her and barely touched her arm.In a matter of minutes the nurse was a frozen statue.A look of fear was on her face."I feel like my old self."Hatsu said. She walked over to the door, opened it and then walked out.

He was quite suprised when he felt Kamarias' rather gentle touch when cleaning the blood away from his wounds, well the wounds that used to be there anyway. She didn't seem like the kind who was gentle or caring, but then again people can deceive you. It was why Marcus never liked to judge, but it was what everyone done. It was what they all had in common.

He tipped his head against the wall and gently rested his head on the tip of his white wing The feathers where white, but as you looked to the bottom they were stained with red blood, but Kamaria was taking good care of him. His brown eyes rested on her face, it was just now that he realised she was quite...well cute to say the least. Maybe he hadn't noticed it before because they were both focused on fighting. But now that she was relaxed and not hell bent on killing. She was rather...cute.

Though her touch was soft and barely noticable, her felt one twinge of pain. Obviously the girl had healed him, but tleft the pain as evidence. As automatic reaction his own hand grabbed hold of hers, though it was not rough, he had no energy to do that. But still he held it till the pain wore off.

"Ah, sorry...she may have healed me. But i still feel like my body has been torn apart"

He gave a weak laugh as he felt himself flinch. Man the pain was searing through his body, and him not actualy weighing very much didn't help.

**************

Erika let her hand trace against the walls as her eyes boredly scanned the door signs. He was only in room 11, how far down could it possibly be? It seemed to go on forever, so much so she ended skiping every so often and lulling to herself as her blue green eyes kept watching the numbers and making a song out of them.

"Room 7...lalalalalala....room 8 around the corner! Room nine is in line...."

Stopping she sighed at herself for her own stupidity and huffed as she slammed her heel on the tiled floor. She was getting soo bored of walking endlesly in these damn white walled halls that all looked the same. It was beggining to piss her off.

Her fingers tightened into a fist, she was ready to just about slam them hard into the damn wall, when her eyes came across rom 11. About time to. Relaxing her hands she walked firmly and rather quickly over to the door and tapped it gently as she slowly peered in around the corner.

"Uh..hi there"

Kamaria was too absorbed in cleaning the blood off to notice Marcus looking at her, she assumed he was still pretty much out for the count to some extent...She switched clothes to a new clean one and disposed of the other one in a tray on the bottom of the trolley. Still absorbed in her own thoughts she continued to clean the wounds...

Kamaria nearly jumped out of her skin when his hand grasped around hers, she hadn't expected him to move. Fair enough he wasn't hurting her but he had startled her a little. Thinking someone was very near passed out and they suddenly grab your hand was enough to make even the most still nerved people jump. She didnt say anything though, she jsut continued to clutch the cloth in her held hand and she was using the other to lean on... When Marcus spoke, she at least now didnt seem surprised...

"Its alright, I should of expected your previous wounds to still hurt...I'm Sorry"

Her voice was clam, kind and sincere, like it used to be a long time ago. Rather that its harsh and cold usual tone now-a-days. She looked at his white wing noticing it tinged with blood. But she didnt want to touch his wings, She had seen people with wings but she had never really known anyone with them. There were probably rules to these things. You wouldn't walk up to a person and grope them, so you probably shouldn't walk up to a winged person and touch their wings...

When Marcus finally let go of her hand she went back to gently whipping the blood off his shoulder like she had been before. Only this time she was perhaps even more gentle so as not to cause anymore pain... Her next words were so quite they were barely audible to even herself.

"I'm sorry for everything..."

***

Spooks nearly jumped out of her skin as soon walked by the door and opened it ever so lightly. She hadn't expected Dewei to have known anyone else yet and it obviously wasn't a nurse... When Erika walked through the door Spook's face adopted a very stern pose. She assumed this was the girl that had got in a 'friendly' fight with Dewei. She didnt say anything though. She merely continued to sit at the foot of Dewei's bed looking at Erika in a manor that rather said 'and you are?'.

"Who's she?..."

The question was addressed to Dewei rather that Erika, as if Erika wasn't there. Dewei who would know all to well what she was thinking right now would probably not dare lie to her.

***

Dewei grimaced as soon as Erika walked through the door now this would be hard to explain to Spooks without her flipping. So he'd lie. He was good at that as long as he connected to Erika's mind and told her what he was lying for. he closed his eyes and sent out his mind until he could feel his mind connecting with hers, his voice spoke inwardly to her;

"Don't panic, just me. Look the girl on the bed; Spooks. Shes my sister, shes a little over protective so you didnt fight with me, you just helped me here OK?..."

Dewei closed the connection and winked at Erika, as Spooks was to occupied glaring to notice. He then coughed to gain Spooks attention and spoke.

"That's Erika, she helped me when i was wounded. She saw the whole accident..."

He knew Spooks would believe him to some extent. She always did. She would believe Dewei's word of that of someone who could never lie. Her propped himself up further and looked at Erika finally paying attention to her properly. Considering she was the one who caused him all this pain she didnt seem off hand to be a bad sort of person.

"Hiya, come in sit down just watch the back..."

he laughed showing he was jsut trying to guilt trip Erika, although the laughing did cause him mild pain form the jolting movement it created. He grimaced before smiling showing he was fine...
PostPosted: Wed Aug 02, 2006 1:35 pm

Marcus smiled. He wasn't intending to guilt trip her, yet she was apologsing so sincerely and fetl bad. Which was not what he wanted, but it was obvious she did feel rather bad about it. Leaning back, he watched her continue to wipe the blood away, even more gentle than the first time around. He never would have guessed her to be so considerate, she realy was a suprising individual.

He only just managed to hear her whisper. Another apology. It made him sigh slightly. He didn't mind, but he didn't want her to feel so repsonsible for it al. That was not the effect he wanted. Gazing up at her he gave her a little wink before using his white wing to wrap around her lightly as he whispered back to her.

"Don't worry so much ok."

His voice was soft and let his wing hold her there for a few moment before unwrapping her and letting it rest at his side as he himself decided to lean back. Hoping that he had at least comforted her.

********

Erika blinked for a few moments, this was the young girl that had threatend to kill the receptionist and now she ahd the look in her that was threatening her. It didn't half make her chuckle, but she didn't make it cruel or antyhing. Afterall Dewei had just warned her about this girl Spooks and soo she made her chuckle a 'cute' one.

Walking over to the side of the bed, where a black chair stood, she let herself sit down rather comfortabley and spoke, hopefully in a reassuring tone to Spooks, though she managed to get a sneaky wink in back at Dewei.

"Thats the truth. I just wanted to make sure he was ok....so are you ok Dewei?"

The last part was said with genuine concern. She wanted to take a look at the wound, but she didn't want to make it worse. Even if she were to use her telekentics. It may hurt.

Kamaria gasped lightly as the white wing folded around her, wings delicate and pure yet granted those lucky enough the ability to fly! How wonderful. She had never before taken the time to admire wings thinking them rather common things granted to birds and the odd person...

The feathers they were so close, she could see the parts that had been tinged with blood, and the parts that were crystal white still shinning and new. She blinked a few times she had stopped cleaning the blood to look at the wing in awe. Of course she was aware his other wing was demonic but it still held the same awe that the angelic one did...

She smiled sincerely at Marcus as the wing folded back into its normal position. Her voice was still changed slightly back to its younger more caring self;

"I wont worry as much...Promise"

Kamaria blinked a few times clearing her mind before continuing to tending to cleaning the blood gently. She had got most of it, and still she had not touched his wings, now more in awe of them than anything.

"Whats it like to fly? i mean really fly, with wings? not float using Telekinesis..."

***

Dewei smirked at the wink and the chuckle, he knew that Erika would of said something to Spooks by now if it weren't for the fact of Dewei's warning... He was shocked by her concern. It seemed although Erika had caused the damage she was sincerely sorry for it!...He smiled at her genuinally and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"I'm fine, no harm no foul..."

His cheeky usualy grin spread across his features. To show he was his normal self, no worse for were mentally jut a cut and few bruises physically.

"What about you, you dragged me here...How are you fairing?..."

Dewei was referring to how much he weighed, he wasn't overly heavy but heavy enough considering how far the hospital block was form the courtyard. He still hadn't removed his hand from her shoulder.

***

Spooks watched the pair and was tempted to make a false gagging motion, but deciding against being childish she rose to her feet and dusted her skirt flat.

"I'm outta here, i have to go and find someone..."

She didnt bother to explain herself o Dewei why should she?! Nodding her head to Erika and waving to Dewei she walked straight out of the door and headed back up the corridor she had just walked down...She was grumbling to herself about already disliking Erika and Dewei lying to her, although she had lied to him...
PostPosted: Wed Aug 02, 2006 3:29 pm

As Marcus' head rested against the wall he could feel his energy flooding back to him. Though being a hybrid had plenty of drawbacks, there was one good thing, because of the mixture in blood you always regained strength quicker than most, even after a very serious injury you'll be up running within half an hour. Cracking his fingers slightly he sighed lightly, a light smile lingering on his lips.

After a few minutes he felt Kamaria start to clean again. Opening his eyes he watched her carefully, he wasn't going to protest, but he didn't want her to feel like she had to clean the blood off out of guilt. He shook his lightly whilst he took her hand in his, stopping her from cleaning and very softly removed the cloth from her hands and spoke in his normal warm and soft tone to her.
"Thank you...but i think it's ok now"

He gave her a little wink before placing the blooded cloth in the little silver dish at her side. She was such a nice person, it made him wonder why she carried such a coldness about her. For one so caring something terrible must have happened to upset her. But it was not for him to pry.

As he listened to the soft tones of her voice he heard her question which made him smile playfully and raise and eyebrow. She wanted to know how it felt to fly with wings, he could arrange that. Though he personaly never liked them, but it was because he had them for all his life. But for one who never flew it was wonderous. Grinning he pulled himself to his feet and gently lifted her up as well. You would never have suspected Macrsu to be quite as strong as he was, his thin body hid it well, the only time he was weakened was when his wings seized on him.
Pulling Kamaria close and folding both wings around her, he whispered lightly.

"I'll show you"

Spinning her round he lifted her off her feet and into his arms as he dashed towards the exit. They weren't too far from the doors, so building up a good run would be easy. Besides, he would enjoy sharing his flight with someone else.

********

Erika watched and chuckled as Spooks walked out in a mood. She was clearly unhappy about them and what was going on, but Erika just laughed. It was something she found amusing. Though her amusement was soon focused on Deweis' arm resting upon her shoulder. Usualy she would have reacted in one way or the other, but she felt comfortable enough to let herself 'play' for a little bit.

Grining she faked the pain of having to drag him all the way here, trying to guilt trip him as he guilt tripped her. Though it was all in fun. Rolling her eyes she rested her head on the matteress beside him and put on the sick voice as she exaggerated the pain.

"Ooo Im ok, the trip here was ...oo well hard, but im ok. I'm a trooper"

Liftng her head she gave a wink and luaghed at her own stupidity. She enjoyed teasing.

"You know i think i need this bed more than you"

**************

Aegle had been following Erika ever so slowly, and stopped once they had reached the room. She didn't want to intrude on anything. Afterall she was only after Spooks, not invalid inside. So she decided it best to wait outside until Someone, mainly Spooks, left as she was free to talk.

Leaning against the wall, she swung back and forth as she played with the ends of long hair. Counting the split ends and wondering how long it would take and she would have to wait.

"Maybe i should...nah!"

She didn't want to be intrusive, and that was what she would be, intrusive. Doing that would have been just as bad as letting Lamya take control. Shaking her boredom off she started to hum a tune when all of a sudden the door opened quickly and shut just as quick. It was Spooks and she seemed to be in a right mood.

Reacting quickly she bounded from the wall and after Spooks, calling to her happily.

"Hey Spooks...Spooks!"

Spooks stopped dead in her tracks, someone was shouting her. To her surprise it was Aegle; she had assumed That Lamya or whoever she was had still taken over and were still 'eating' obviously it had been longer than Spooks thought...

She smiled, and took a few calming inward breaths so she was less aggravated. Dewei didnt half get on her nevers and the total audacity of that Erika girl; she helped him, over course she did; she was probably the one that hurt him...With every word thought she got more aggravated, using her own powers she forced calm upon herself and smiled as Aegle approached.

"Hey..."

It was an answer. Not a particularly detailed answer but an answer. It was better than just standing there waiting and doing nothing right? Besides what else was she supposed to say? Spooks was winding herself up again, everything was getting on her nerves even the ticking of a near by clock or the occasional beep from some sort of machine.

***

Dewei laughed his deep voiced laugh and yet genuine laugh, but it was that type of laugh that would make others laugh easily in return. Erika was guilt tripping him, fair dues he had at first guilt tripped her but when he realised she was genuinely concerned and not just trying to make her conscience clear he had laid off the guilt and just tried to be a friend of some sort...

Realising his hand still rested on her shoulder her quickly propped himself up more on the pillow and removed his hand.

"You just want to get in my bed."

Dewei's words registered in his own mind, too late. He hadn't meant his reply to sound 'that wa'y. He rolled his eyes at himself and laughed to show he didnt mean it in that way although his next tone of voice was a tad embarrassed.

"I didn't mean that like it sounded..."

Dewei still didnt think he'd made a good recovery; how stupid can he be? Sometimes even he wondered how his mind had developed enough to gain telepathic abilities. Deciding on a quick change of subject he spoke again.

"Hows Marcus and the other girl?..."

He still hadn't asked the other girls name, oh well he'd get round to it. She looked like a Maria so thats what he'd think of her as until he knew other wise...

***

Kamaria had been cleaning the blood out of perhaps some far sign of compassion, not guilt; she never felt guilty, perhaps if she stood on someones ugly yet cute pet cat, but not when someone got involved in a fight that had already started. Alright so she did feel guilty for hurting Marcus but she shouldn't of normally; she shouldn't of broke his shield or tried to drop him form so high in the air, or tried to throw heavy objects at him. In fact she shouldn't of fought with him at all, at the time she didnt even know his name! But usually none of this would of mattered, so yeah she would of bought the injured person to the hospital wing, but usualy she wouldnt of stuck around to see if they were OK or not.

To be honest she assumed it was Marcus. Around Erika who was now perhaps her only 'friend' in a long while she was herself now normal self. But around Marcus she was calmer and more like her younger self; strange really, but Kamaria did kind of miss this side of her personality sometimes...

She didnt jump this time when he grabbed her hand again, this time she knew he was awake and not half 'dead'. She still however didnt bother to move or pull away she just stayed where she was and allowed his hand to continued clasping hers and remove the cloth from her grasp. She looked at him as if to say 'alright-but' and spoke, her tone not having changed yet

"Are you su-"

She never got to finish her sentence because Marcus had pulled her to her feet. she had not expected someone who had been so weak due to his injures to suddenly get up and pull her to her feet. Sure Kamaria didn't weigh a lot but really he had just escaped, narrowly, death! Then it sunk in Marcus was a half breed; like her in a way, She was part changeling. However his half breed was more interesting he possibly could heel himself fast, as long as the injury wasn't death...

Kamaria blushed deeply her more carefree younger side showing through as Marcus had pulled her close, she could feel the warm air he breathed out hovering in the air. Her eyes went reflective and awe struck as she stared at his wings; why had she never payed attention to such, marvelous entrancing objects?! when he said "I'll show you" at first Kamaria didnt understand and was about to exclaim "What do you mean?" When it sunk in, he was going to fly!

She was about to tell him not to fly he could still be weak but she had promised not to worry and she figured at a push she could save him if anything did go wrong; if her powers didnt play up from over use. As she was swept off her feet literally and into Marcus arms she couldn't help but compulsively hold onto the nearest thing to her for stability which happened to be Marcus; she had linked her hands around the back of Marcus neck, effectively wrapping her arms around his neck...
