Hato flexed his fingers, and then quicker than his eyes could follow, he slammed them together in the attempt to form the Ox handseal, and then to use the genjutsu release he was trying so very hard to learn. At first he thought he was getting it, but he was concentrating too hard on the speedy formation of the handseal that he didn't notice he had misplaced a few of his fingers. Seeing this mistake, he almost immediately threw his hands apart, and then slammed them back together with such force and intensity that he had perfectly formed the Ox handseal. He felt his chakra system faltering once again, and knew that he had completed one more trial of the jutsu. He did the exact same thing, throwing his hands out, and reforming the Ox hand seal, and he got the same result! Excited, Hato tried to do it another 3 times, but with the energy and excitement, his hands had started to shake with exhaustion and nervousness.
*I'll just take a small breather. At least I got another 2 successes down.*
He flexed his fingers and took a deep breath until his fingers stopped shaking, and then prepared to do it again. Just as he was about to start the technique, he noticed that he was sweating.
*Aww, am I really so preoccupied to not even notice heat?*
He stood up straight and cracked his back while looking around the hot springs.
*Wow, this place really is a great place to train.*
Hato was feeling comfortable with the heat, so he just took his hand and wiped the sweat off his brow. Getting ready to do the technique once more, he relaxed and tensed his fingers, getting ready to form the handseal. Seriously hoping that the Ox handseal was the factor that would help him in the success of learning the jutsu, he once again visualized what it was supposed to look like, thought about how to form the seal with his fingers, and prayed that he would not mess up. All Hato wanted to do right now was to be out on a mission, either with a small team of genin or even by himself. Any kind of outdoor adventure would do, he was getting restless sitting in the village doing nothing. He knew that he could be doing some good for the village by catching bandits, or attacking rogue ninja, but he would have to wait until his training was done to go out on a mission, and even longer, probably until he was an ANBU or a jounin to go atttack rogue ninja.

Quote: D-RankGenjutsu Kai: Release The user attempts to break the chakra circulation flow in his body in order to see through a genjutsu. Cp: 10 Damage: N/A Requirements: Chakra Control 10 Training: 5 days Special: Add chakra mod to Will Save DC: 14 Successes: 18/50 As Hato thought about the future, and his possible turning of ANBU and jounin in perhaps a year, or maybe longer, he completely forgot about his jutsu training for a moment.
*I still can't believe Otokage-sama denied my request to train for jounin.. but I suppose he had a good reason for it. Perhaps I'm just not ready enough to be a jounin, which obviously means I'm not cut out for ANBU just yet. But I'll prove everyone wrong and become one of the ANBU leaders!*
Hato was so confident in this that he was sure he would become one of the leading ANBU in out-of-village affairs that he was training just for it. He knew that becoming an ANBU would be hard, but he also knew that he had the confidence to do it. As Hato was thinking about the abilities of an ANBU, he reminded himself that he was training for it as he was daydreaming.
*Wow, I really have to start focusing more.*
He took a stance, and drilled the Ox handseal with the jutsu, hoping that this would work. Although he messed up on the majority of them, he did the jutsu once out of five.
*Well at least it's not a 0% failure, maybe the Ox hand seal isn't as important as I thought it was, but I think this proves that it has something to do with the success of the jutsu, at least.*
Hato ran threw all the hand seals that could possibly work for this jutsu, and he realized that he never really tried Dog, Tiger, Rabbit, and a few more, and he also realized that he never experimented to see if the other hand seals that he had deemed "useless" in this jutsu would work if he drilled them over and over.
*I was being so stupid.. of course the handseals would work once in a while, they can't all not work at all.*
He decided that the next 5 attempts at drilling the jutsu would start with Dragon, Dog, Rooster, Rabbit, and Tiger. If any of them worked, he would continue on with his drills, and see if any of those hand seals had a high percentage of success when he used them. It occurred to Hato that even though he was getting successes with the Ox hand seal, and possibly in a few minutes the other hand seals, that they wouldn't be the critical factor because it wasn't 100% accurate when he used them.

*Dragon, Dog, Rooster, Rabbit, Tiger*
Hato repeated these words to himself as he prepared to do all 5 in quick succession in the hopes that they would help him perform Genjutsu Kai. He kept his focus on those words, on the forming of the handseals, and on the flow of chakra within him. He found certain areas of chakra with each hand seal, with dragon, he was focused in on his leg area, and couldn't break any flow. With Dog, he found his heart, and he immediately knew where to break circulation. With Rooster, Hato felt his arms chakra, but he couldn't break flow there either. Using the Rabbit hand seal, he found his head, or his brain area. He had to delve into the deeper parts of his subconscious, but he found the perfect place to cut of chakra circulation. He felt a little light headed after that particular try, but he kept going. Finally, with the Tiger hand seal, he was feeling an area along his back, but he couldn't feel any strong emanations of chakra, so he couldn't find a good place to use the jutsu. Even with 2 successes out of the 5, Hato wasn't satisfied. Although his experiment seemed to be working, he didn't know if it was absolutely certain that using those certain handseals would give him the effect he wanted. To further prove that the hand seals were working, he visualized another 5, and was about to do that, before an instant headache assaulted him.
*Is this an aftereffect of breaking the chakra circulaton in my brain?*
Hato was dazed, and he fell down. He couldn't feel his arms or legs, and he started to become worried.
*Crap, how did it come to this..*
Hato closed his eyes and visualized again the chakra system within his mind, and found that it wasn't flowing as properly as before. Searching a little further, he found a chakra node that was functioning properly. Intrigued, Hato pulled his will power together and turned it back on, allowing chakra to flow correctly through his brain.
*Wow, who knew a jutsu like this could be so dangerous if done wrong.*
Hato could now feel his arms and legs, but he was still slightly dizzy.
*I should be more careful how I approach this jutsu.*
Now wary of the dangers of breaking chakra flow, he stood up and prepared to do his next set of drills much more carefully.

Quote: D-RankGenjutsu Kai: Release The user attempts to break the chakra circulation flow in his body in order to see through a genjutsu. Cp: 10 Damage: N/A Requirements: Chakra Control 10 Training: 5 days Special: Add chakra mod to Will Save DC: 13 Successes: 21/50 Being extremely careful with his jutsu using, Hato pretty much failed using all of the hand seals he was planning to do, except for the last, which was coincidentally the Ox hand seal. Simply because of the slow and careful manner Hato did all the attempts, he disregarded the fact that just the Ox seal worked, and he attributed the success to pure luck.
*Well, I did the technique fast, and almost killed myself, and now I've done them too slowly, and failed almost all of them.*
Trying to think of a way to balance the technique, he took deep breaths to soothe his shaking shoulders. Exhaustion would soon set deep within him, and he wouldn't be able to even try to do the jutsu one at a time. Taking advantage of his current, state Hato prepared to do the next few drills as fast as before to finish the exercise as fast as possible, but still doing them just carefully enough so that he didn't kill himself.
*Hmm, so I've used concentration, relaxation, tensing, and hand seals. What else could I possibly throw into this jutsu to help myself more?*
Hato thought long and hard about it, his face pensive as he combed through his memory for anything that could possibly help. Something sparked within him and his face lit up with curiousity yet again.
*What if I cast a real genjutsu on myself?*
This intrigued Hato because it was very possible that he would hurt himself. Although there was a risk, he was almost sure he could break free of his own genjutsu. I have to do anything I can to learn this technique, maybe putting myself in a real situation where I have to break out of a genjutsu will help me. Falling back into his mind, he tried to think of any genjutsu he knew that would help him.
*I got it! Sly Mind Affect! It can't kill me, and by the end, even if I do get stuck, I'll just pass out from exhaustion.*
Excited by the prospect of a real life situation, he thought carefully of how to administer the jutsu to himself, and then he visualized the necessary hand seals he would need.
*I really hope I don't mess this up.*
Shortly after he reassured himself with confidence that he could not possibly get hurt from this, he formed the seals.
"Sly Mind Affect!" Hato cried out to himself.

Cp: 10 Damage: N/A Requirements: Chakra Control 10 Training: 5 days Special: Add chakra mod to Will Save DC: 13 Successes: 23/50 Almost immediately after casting Sly Mind Affect, Hato found himself sprawled on the floor of the hot springs. Curious as to what happened, he had the sudden urge to find someone to help him learn the kai: release technique. He started walking out of the hot springs room and entered into the dojo's main room. There was still nobody here, and the place wasn't lit, giving it an eerie feel about it. Shrugging the lack of light off, Hato attempted to proceed out of the room and into the open village, but it seemed that for every step he took, the door looked 2 steps further away.
*I must have caught myself in the genjutsu!*
After realizing this, Hato was slightly proud of himself that he successfully used the jutsu at least on himself, but now he was getting worried.
*What if I can't break out of it?*
Shrugging off his lack of confidence, he placed his hands together in the Ox seal and attempted to use the jutsu. Almost immediately after forming the seal, he could feel the genjutsu lifting, or at least that's what it felt like. Again, he formed and Ox seal and now he could obvously tell he was in the genjutsu. Confident in his abilities, he tried another hand seal. He went in order of Rabbit, Tiger, Dragon. All of the seals he made after Ox failed miserably, but at the very least he had realized he was in the genjutsu, and in realizing he was in it, he had broken free of it.
*Glad I didn't do any harm to myself.*
Hato felt proud inside that he had been able to cast the genjutsu on himself, and then defeat his own genjutsu. After reveling in this success, he got ready for the next 5 drills. He decided that instead of re-casting the genjutsu on himself, he would simply try to use the jutsu without it, now that he knew how it felt to be IN the genjutsu.

((And this would be where I realized I only needed 15/50 and cheer clarified the rules/training stuff and I felt like a tard. So I had already learned the jutsu by like last page, so I'll just.. finish up)) Quote: D-RankGenjutsu Kai: Release The user attempts to break the chakra circulation flow in his body in order to see through a genjutsu. Cp: 10 Damage: N/A Requirements: Chakra Control 10 Training: 5 days Special: Add chakra mod to Will Save DC: 10 Successes: 26/50 [LEAVING TRAINING DOJO]Hato was just about ready to collapse with exhaustion from this last set he just did, before he realized that he had succeeded in using the jutsu another 3 times, with the other 2 failures standing out, Hato was still proud he succeeded more than half his attempts. He sat down for a moment and collected himself.
*I can't keep going like this. I suppose I'll have to live with the fact that I just won't be able to do this jutsu ALL the time in a battle.*
Comforted by the fact that he had done the required 50 attempts, and succeeded in at least half, he stood back up and when the initial wave of dizziness and dehydration washed over him, he looked around the hot springs and realized that he was in the perfect place to just hang out until he had regained enough energy to do something else. He quickly took off the shorts he was wearing and unbuttoned his chuunin vest and threw his shoes off. He slipped into the hot water slowly, not wanting to burn himself, and heaved a sigh of relief as he was finally relaxing and done training for the day. Closing his eyes, he thought about all the times he had done this, trained for a jutsu so long that he was so tired, and then taken a break and felt oh so good. He couldn't remember the last time he had worked up such a sweat.
*Well now I'm done training this jutsu, what am I supposed to do? I've learned a lot of the jutsu that have interested me, and the other genjutsu's would take much longer than this simple D-rank.. so am I willing to put the time into it?*
He ran through all the other jutsu he had heard about in the Oto library and from his fellow shinobi, but he wasn't sure if one rang out in his head and if he wanted to spend another long training session learning it. He realized then that his knowledge of fire jutsu was extremely limited, himself knowing only 1 simply C-rank jutsu. Shrugging it aside, Hato realized that he didn't really need more fire jutsu in his arsenal, as he aspired to become the village's best genjutsu user. Thinking to the future and the possibilites that came with it, he knew that he would have to work harder and be able to endure this kind of training often, or else he would fall behind and some other, younger shinobi would take his place as "best genjutsu user. Determined to claim that title, Hato stood up from the hot springs to do something productive, after all, he didn't want to start pruning up. [ENTERING OTOGAKURE VILLAGE]Hato walked out of the dojo and stretched, placing his arms over his head, and started walking in a random direction on the dirt roads, he was feeling spontaneous and he didn't really care where he ended up. The day had already been spent training on a schedule, Hato felt like he needed a change in pace for the rest of the day. Bored and with nothing to do, he found his feet dragging him towards the Kage's office to find something to do.
*Perhaps Kasuke-sama will have a mission for me, and then I won't be bored anymore. Gosh, I wish I was a jounin so I could teach a group of genin and go on team missions with them, but I guess I'll have to deal with going it out alone, either that or with other chuunin.*

Kazuma came into a large area where he decided to sit down and read one of his parents many books, this on was on how to build-up chakra and utilize it through handseals, he had another book that was on the basics of Ninjutsu, mostly relating to the ones learned while in the Academy. Kazuma, being the genius he is though, decided to get a head start and learn everything on his own without a teacher and just books to guide him. First he had to read books on both topics, one then the other before he would feel comfortable trying to do either. He cracked open the book and did what he did best, read. The very thought of reading a book on a topic he didn't know was far more fun than reading on one that he already knew or that he felt mocked his intelligence such as the children's books in his own personal library. As he read on the topic he slowly understood what was needed in order to do it. Though he didn't have to read too hard to get the first parts of the book. Quote: Reading Rainbow!!! As Kazuma continued to read the book he started to zone out the world around him focusing only on his reading material, something he would have to overcome eventually. But as for now the only thing that mattered was the book. Every page interested him, and little of it so far had confused him, he thought he'd have the book done in no time and start the physical part of it, the application and practice of what he had learned so far. He smiled as he kept turning every page aabsorbing the knowledge locked inside the book. Though he never thought on why his non-ninja parents would have books on these subjects. He probably should have, but he just assumed it due to his wanting to become a ninja they went out and bought books for him on it. Quote: Reading Rainbow!!! As Kazuma went through the book he flet the book thining on the one side which he was turning, he smiled at the progress he was already making. But as soon as he felt comfortable with his porogress he hits a hard place and hasto stop turning the pages to read and re-read it until he gets the meaning of a certain word he had run arcoss. Though it was a book on a simple subject, it was written for a teacher to read to help instruct a class. This was the only downfall of the book he supposed. He hoped there weren't this many hard words through the rest of the book. Quote: Reading Rainbow!!! Read any book, and completely comprehend the material. DC:10 Roll:1d20+intel Train: 2/10

Kazuma looked in the back of the book, finally tired of trying to decide what it meant going to the dictionary in the back of the book. As he read it carefully he finally figured out the meaning of the word and continued on reading the book. He had finally got past that little problem and had finally gained a little peace of mind. Kazuma was finally back into a reading groove and almost had half the book read and comprehended. This made Kazuma happy since it was one less thing he would have to do in class is go through a lecture in class on it. He didn't like them cause they always put there own personal experience of how it feels to them into it. As if he cared how they felt when doing something. Once again Kazuma ended up in the same place again. Stuck on a word. He got up and walked around. He was fed up with getting stuck on the book and needed to do something to vent his frustration. So walking around was all he could think of doing to do that. He kept reading scratching his head on what the word might mean, not exactly sure. Kazuma nearly got stuck once more on a word but flipped to the back real quick and kept reading from there. As he continued he wondered how much more the book had to discuss on the topic, going through theories and in class experiments on it as though chakra usage was a scientific topic. It didn't shock him much though, they probably had topics on several different strange things in the world that they had a scientific topic about. Quote: Reading Rainbow!!!
