well Hellboy, If you are coming to Tx, you should go to ACL this september. I already got my three day pass mrgreen might have to meet next time i'm up in Hustan (hard part will be leaving the family for a while)
oh and btw, drivers here suck just as much, not so much bumper to bumper bad, but swinging in and out of lans with no blinkers, or driving like 15-20 miles over the speed limt (yet i keep getting pulled over for going over 5 mile stressed )
what ever you do, avoid small town like Georgetown, Waco, and such.

l-lellboy [Gothic_Lolita] l-lellboy What?!? Dammit! I'm not there anymore! D8>
Actually, I left in January, I just happened to move to the part of Florida where all the Jersey and New Yorkers choose to emigrate. xp That's the entire state, Hellboy. They're everywhere. Oh God, I'm surrounded! gonk Back, I say, BACK you Yankees! *waves non-kosher deli meat in an attempt to ward some off* You could stop in New Orleans on your way to Texas, hun. Give you a nice feeling of the south, that is if you stay out of certain parts. My parents moved me to Virginia! It's a lot angry people in the area that i live in. Making a 4 way stop a death trap in the morning to a point they put up stop lights over night. pirate

Kendra_Saunders and my other mule RahneSinclair apologize for not being active in Kapow for so long. RL and work have taken over my life and given me little free time to spend online. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up and let you know that I am still alive. Hope you are all doing well, take care and see you again soon I hope.

I'm back, bitches, and more fa-bu than ever.
Been a crazy couple months, but I'm okay. Started a weird relationship. Applied to graduate school. Helped a friend in planning UNC Chapel Hill's first-ever Conference for Undergraduate Research in Literature--now a proposed yearly event, which is very awesome. Did not actually get into my hoped-for graduate programs, but since I applied to three amazing schools with a GPA of a 2.5, I'm not that surprised.
Also saw the relationship come to a weird, and kind of messy end, but I got all his friends and he quit his job over it, so I ********' win. 'Swhat he gets, tryin' to take MY Gal Friday. Don't fight a custody battle with me, little fairy.
Sorry, some of the anger's still there accompanying the feeling of righteous vindication and "HA!".
I also graduated from college. I'm one of those useless people with a liberal arts degree, and I'm lookin' forward to the self-righteous mooching off your society and bitchin' about how it doesn't serve my needs well enough. Sometimes with justification, and sometimes just 'cause I'm a b***h.
So now here I am, looking for a job 'cause groceries are way expensive when student loans don't cover them, and I've yet to find a pimp in my size. Finally have some free time though, so a return to the wonderful world of the Internet seemed in order.
I've missed you all (well, okay, not you, in the back with the hair--seriously, what happened?), and I'm glad to be back.
Now where's the red carpet?

Hmm, I could deal with the geriatric Geri Halliwell fans until I had the chance to pull the plug. And it's Florida, so it's not like it's illegal there. I may take you up on that offer. They mow down the elderly for sport--I'll just tell them it's Australian rules. wink

Actually I think that might be more of a natural selection thing- any vehicular manslaughter is more likely to be done by the fellow elderly. And if not, Florida's so over-populated with elderly that it's more a kindness than anything. I mean after all, for every bumper that has a walker wrapped around it, there's one more table open at Country Kitchen, one more open spot in line at the pharmacy. It's for their own good, keeps them from exhausting their natural resources. domokun

For the past 8+months I've been working on Unnamed Vertigo Book that has been seeing...problems. Yes, that is how I choose to term it. Between a flaky writer (who recently got flakier), flaky editor and a bizarre series of unfortunate events that have involved switching the name of the book no less than SIX times... We have a title. We have an announcement date. Hell we may even get it published this year. Not that this means I'm relaxing, because Good Thing X might happen to me and then I'd really have something to talk about. Nevertheless, everyone going to SDCC should attend the Vertigo panel. You'll know which one's mine. It's water-colored.
