Well, what do you play on now? I'm a big bach person, but I also haven't had the chance to try anything else. Though I've heard yamaha is a good one for mouthpieces, too.

I have a REALLY OLD TRUMPET XD
It's a King, gold Trumpet BUT with a sterling silver Bell.
yeah it's old, actually it's my Dads and he's played it at his childhood but it's beautiful.
I actually have a stradivarius but I don't use it much out of my house and only at family concerts since well... >_>
I'd hate to dent it
anyone have one of those trumpets that they make at germany that they custom make just for you?

they should have trumpets on gaiaa!! lol well i haave a 2 trumpetss biggrin one of them used to be my brothers' when he was in 6th grade [[he's in college now and plays tubaa]] AND then like 2 years ago he bought me a shiny new trumpet :] it's from Prelude.. or sumthing like that. but yeahh :] ilovemytrumpet:] its like my newborn baby lol if someone drops it i say "SAVE THE HORN!!" because my b.d always says that when someone drops their instrument.

Does anyone know the fingering above top C (The C above the stave), I know its isn't that finger reliant, but I can reach top C now, and I want to challenge myself a bit further and see how high I can get... does anyone know?

C# is played as either 2 or 1/2.
D is open or 1.
D# is 2.
E is open and F is 1.
Other than that, I'd have to find out from one of my trumpet major friends. lol

my...trumpet...broke...
I opened the case, and a tube was off. It's a lower end trumpet, and the person my BD took it to for fixing says she doesn't think the matal is strong enough to handle being welded.
I just- I'm so....I can't stop crying.

I think the funnest part about playing the trumpet is to every once in a while, check out how much stamina you have and see where your range is! =]
the longest i have played without breathing is 1 full minute.
my range is low c (off of staff) and high g (above staff)

No prob! I know it's hard for me to go above a C as well, but I also haven't really tried to go above it since I usually don't.

i just went to a competition and my band got 1s in all categorys!!!!!!!!!!! wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool cool cool cool cool cool cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats a superior!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah the guy grading sucked at it he was stalling asking stuff like "have you guys seen me before? i live in your neighborhood! you might have seen me......." yeah he also only pointed out the mistakes, instead of actually telling us what to work on and make better. it was really disappointing and good at the same time because if he couldnt find anything to say than we must be pretty good. biggrin biggrin

OMG!!! My friend has just bought a pocket trumpet and I played it for the first time ever today!!!
It is soooooo cute!!
It was like a mini cornet!!!!
I really want one now, but it was like £180!!
Has anyone else got one or played one?
