~Azrielle mere walke passed her as she inqured about Issildia's allegiance. He reached the edge of the forest and could see the various Mahara soaring through the air, seeming partolling their perspective regions.~

No. Issildia is the daughter of Reinsen Nevar, as well as his enemy. She seeks to destroy him, while Reinsen now marches to battle with Akurei. Akurei and Reinsen are nt as great a threat as Issildia. That is why we shall eliminate her first.

Niobe followed, leaving Sylph to trot after her, as she trailed Azrielle. She looked at him with an arched eyebrow, recalling a phrase she heard somewhere: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

She laughed. She could see why they were only going after Issildia, Reinsen and Akurei would destroy each other, or whoever won between them, Azrielle and Niobe could just take him down and claim the spoils of war.

It's more like "The enemy of my enemy is my prey."

She looked to the sky.

"Those filthy things. They stink worse than the Yakayu."

She played with the idea of catching and tying two of them together to use for quick transportation, but then realized they couldn't fly that way. Too bad.

"Shall we continue to Baledon Sukiyo, my Lord?"

She caught Sylph's chain, ready to walk.

~Azrielle glanced behind him once Niobe approached him. He could tell she was enjoying the thought of the battle yet to come. Her patience would have worn thin should he had left her inher previous position. Azrielle gazed out at the landscape, he could see the castle in the distance, and then turned back to her.~

Yes. Let us go. I'm sure there will be someone there awaiting our arrival.

At that moment a chill passed through the realm of the dead and the light behind Sin grew brighter as if to consume him.
Then the sound of crackling ice was heard as his spirit was returned to his body, and the frost that covered him cracked off.
"Are you alright?" Issildia questioned from where she stood over him.

Looking up groggly at Issildia rubbing his head softly. Groaning suddenly he shot up and rushed behind a wall and procceded to thow up whatever he had for lunch. Stubleing back towards Issildia he shook his head to clear out his dizzyness and spoke in a horse voice.

"thanks... sorry for being so inconvientent... I should be ok now... I still won't be albe to fight much until I have a full days rest... but I can travel now..."

Standing up he took a handful of white snow and ate it, relishing the coldness and water moveing back though his system.

"I would rather we continue on but..." she said, preferring to leave this place as soon as possible.
"You should rest while here, it is still one of the few sanctuaries within this kingdom, we can leave in a couple of hours." she stated in a flat tone.

Sin leaned back agenst the rock Issildia had put him on eairlier and sighed looking at her.

"I'm guessing all your other companions were a lot less problamatic when travleing..."

He asked her in a sad voice sighing again.

"so... what is this place?"

Issildia's eyes became down cast as she looked away, "This was Anier..." she said softly, unable to go into greater detail of the location.
Already her thoughts were consumed by memory to the point that she dare not bring up such matters now.

"oh... I'm sorry..."

Sighing Sin looked up at the sky and watched the clouds go by.

"Seems like our numbers are dwindleing... When I showed up there were so many of us... now there's just you and me... probly to your immedate irritation..."

Issildia looked at him for a brief moment before she returned her gaze to the cold unmoving stone of the ruins.

"It is of the nature of war that comrades will be lost...people will be separated ,and lives destroyed only to be created anew. This place...was once my life, it was once my world...but no longer. Time is a bitter tide that is forever washing away our past...and leaving us utterly changed. We can not dwell on the past for never can things be as they once were...we adapt and we move on...such is the way of survival and of life."

"If I wasn't so drained I might argure that point with you... but right now-"

Sin stood up, wobbleing a little bit, and headed back towards the horses.

"We should get going... I can travel now at the least"

"You will be of no use if you can not fight Sin." Issildia stated rather coldly.
"This will be the last place of sanctuary before we cross the barrier, this will be your only chance to gain back your strength, get some rest and I will keep watch."
She stated this in a flat tone devoid of emotion, but she was correct in the fact that this would be their last reprieve before entering the forest at the borderlands.

A part of Sin wanted to argue that point but he felt his own power, and how weak he was and decied agenst saying anything. Turning around he pulled a blanket out of his pack and headed over to a wall and threw the blanet over himself laying on his side, faceing away from Issildia, and tried to sleep.

Niobe kept walking, strange thoughts entering her mind all the way. Sylph was a shapeshifter, why had she not transformed even once? She could have taken the form of a bird and flown away. Was it not strange that she instead tried to flee by foot, in her true form at that? Niobe glanced back at an exhausted blonde.

So that's it. The little changeling doesn't have the enegery to use her ability...

She kept her gaze on the girl.

Three days. She has been in my possesion for three days and I forgot to feed her. I never did have time for pets.

Niobe stopped walking momentarily and approached Sylph. She put a hand on the girl's throat. Sylph was too tired to fight. With a swift move of her thumb, Niobe rendered the girl unconscious and loaded her on her back. She began walking again to catch up with Azrielle.

"The prisoner is depleted. When we reach our destination, we will have to nourish her if we wish her to live long enough for our plan to succeed."

~Azrielle's pace had begun to slow as they neared their destination. The area had resembled the Dead forest to their rear, but this place was far more desolate. The castle could be seen from their position. It was the only thing structure still standing in the ruined city. The beasts that lurked here would provide a suitable meal for the three of them. Azrielle then turned to Niobe, having picked out his prey, and drew his blade.~

You keep moving, I will catch up later.
