[14+0 VS 9] (Success, Masa sees through the clones) 17+8+4=29 HIT 8+3+4= 15 MISS
Masa took the kick like a champ, spitting her blood on the ground and pulling a tooth out as she rose to a standing position again. It didn't matter, she had multiple rows of teeth and she could already feel the new one pressing into place. When he used it, Masaraku saw through the clone technique, "Pathetic." She jabbed her sword into Shinzu's shoulder. "Your finished. Say it before I have to go further."

 LV. 8 Experience: 4/450 Hp: 1 Cp: 16 MHp: 112
Shinzu took the hit to his shoulder without so much as a word, and only his eyes revealed why. There was a look of nothingness, the oh so well known thousand yard stare, he was one step away from unconcousness. His body couldn't possibly take much more, but his mind willed it to continue, and even forced it into some sembelence of his defensive stance, as if he was going to take another blow. He wouldn't be able to dodge any more attacks and he likely wouldn't even notice if Masaraku took him to the hospital.

Masaraku shook her head and said, "You boys are so stubborn." She pretended to punch him in the stomach, but purposely missed and scooped him up over her shoulder. Then she worked him into a Fireman's carry and ran off to the hospital with him saying, "You owe me ramen. If you die before that happens I'll find a way to bring you back just so I can kill you again." And with that she was gone, off to the hospital with her ally on her back.

[Enter from Main Island: Kirigakure Hospital]
Batsu did exactly as Mayumi-sempai said and made his way to the grove. He didn't know what to expect though. All he knew was that he would be in for some hardcore training. He didn't mind that at all, just as long as he'd get stronger. The boy arrived at the grove only to find that there were two female's at the edge of the tree-filled area. One of the girls had a hawk on her shoulder and the other... had a loaded bow right at him... AND SHE ACTUALLY RELEASED IT!! She was aiming straight at Batsu. It had become apparent that the training had already started.
Dodging Batsu has begun training his dodging abilities. He must focus his attention on the trajectory of the arrow and stay away from each one. (Wisdom) Formula: 1d20 + WIS (2) DC: 17 10/10 Special: The arrow tips have been rounded out, so each hit does -5 for direct hit (Total = 10 or less), -3 per graze (Total: 11 - 16)

9 + 2 = 11 [Just grazed - 3 HP] Batsu watched in shock as the arrow came closer and closer to his body. For a second his two teachers thought he was gonna just stand there and take the hit head on. That wasn't the case though. Eventually the boy snapped out of his daze and moved to the left. It wasn't fast enough and he ended up being hit in the arm despite the attempt. It didn't hurt like he thought it would though... especially with the tip of the arrow being rounded off. But still, he was hurting. What the hell kind of training is this?!
4 + 2 = 6 [Direct hit -5 HP] Batsu looked at his arm and there was no bleeding. There was no bleeding, luckilly, because it felt like it should have been. His eyes shot back at the two females and he screamed out, "OWWW This s**t hurts! Why the hell are..." Just then, the one with the bird on her arm shot back and interrupted Batsu mid-complaint. "Look, rather than questioning our methods, you need to watch and dodge the arrows." The woman than pointed her finger up towards the sky. Of course it made Batsu look up. Why the hell did he do that? As he focused his eyes upwards, an arrow rained down from the sky and pelted the boy right between the eyes.
5 + 2 = 7 [Direct Hit -5 HP] If he thought the first hit was bad then the second hit was excruciating! The boy was hit on the upper bridge of his nose, one of the most sensitive parts of the human body. The blow shot tears straight into the boy's eyes and he stood there covering his face while tears flowed down his face. All the while, the archer loaded her bow and shot another arrow straight at Batsu chest. He didn't know it was coming but he knew it was there when he was hit. The boy doubled over while tears continued to trickle down. This was just sad, three shots into the training and Batsu was a complete mess.[
4 + 2 = 6 [Direct Hit -5 HP] Batsu still didn't get it. He was so busy crying about being hit that he couldn't grasp the fact that he needed to stop from actually being hit. Hopefully he'd get it soon, otherwise the boy was gonna be in even more pain. Batsu honestly tried his best to suck it up, but right as he did an arrow hit him in the foot... another sensitive area. The boy started yelping and jumped up and down over and over. He hated being hit repeatedly, so he had to do something.
14 + 2 = 16 [Just grazed -3 HP] Batsu was in enough pain as it was, he was gonna try and do something to stop it from repeating. The boy stood straight up, brushed of the pain and started watching the younger of the two females. By that time it was too late. She ended up shooting another arrow and it was already headed for the boy. He did see it coming so he did his best to move out of the way. Considering the fact that he didn't have that much time to move, Batsu did okay. The arrow only hit his left shoulder slightly. It still hurt, but could have been much worse.
19 + 2 = 21 Batsu lifted his head up from the barrage of pain and saw that another arrow was headed his way. He was not about to get hit again.... not now anyways. The boy continued watching the arrow and right as it got near him, he turned his body to the side causing the arrow to zip past him. The boy sighed a sigh of relief. That was one less arrow that hit him and it was one less pain to endure.
1 (Insta-fail) [-5 HP] Clearly Batsu forgot that he was still in the midst of training. He was so celebratory of dodging one arrow that he forgot about another one on the way.It was his own fault, because when the arrow hit him in the stomach his celebration stopped and he let out a large groan as he doubled over in pain. Damn... he wanted this to end so bad, but until he grasped the concept of watching your target then he'd be in for a long and painful ride.

Hiru walked into the grove overwhelmed with excitement from having melded in a way with his new weapon. He could actually feel it pulsing on his back, as though he was actually carrying a living being with him at all times. He knew that Shizoni wanted to train him in wielding this new blade, but short of getting his a** kicked Hiru wouldn't learn much from a spar with the Swordsman... his fellow Swordsman as it now stood.
Hiru found a clearing and walked to its center before pulling out his weapon. He swung it around a few times in the air before turning towards Shizoni. "I am ready for whatever training you may wish me to do, Shizoni-sama.", he said with excitement.

Shizoni was gong to have some fun training this one up to his standards. He wondered where to start. Maybe he needed to first ask what the newest edition to his elite group of Shinobi knew of Samehada. "In detail, tell me what you know about Samehada. I wish to know what I should teach you first about that powerful sword." He actually had a scroll ready, that Hiru could just take and learn for himself, but he wanted to quiz him before doing so. he wanted to make sure he was truly ready.

Hiru expected this training could go many different ways; but he had never anticipated there would be a trivia involved. Of course, all Hoshigaki had some degree of knowledge of what the great blade was and what it could do. Hiru's father being councilman, he had actually underwent quizzes like this in the past; which usually lead to severe beatings when he had forgotten everything due to lack of interest... Just having to do this again brang the pain from these events.
Still, the definition and history of Samehada was burned into his memory, with a dull tone he nearly recited : "The exact history of Samehada isn't really known, we only know the legend of how it came to be that is passed down from generation to generation. Legend once told of a giant horned shark, Isonade. This great shark that was said to devour whole ships and cause storms had a Remora attached to its belly with which it develloped a symbiotic relationship. It is believed that Samehada was this remora. Samehada attached itself to Isonade’s stomach and absorbed its food to create huge amounts of chakra, and sent it back to the whale's body. ".
After he was done with his story, Hiru raised the blade and looked at it with a smile. "As for what it does, I know it heals its wielder and feeds him the chakra it gathers from its victims. But one thing I didn't know was that it was so... friendly.", he said with a joyful grin. As he finished his sentence, the blade rumbled a bit with a slight purr as though it was signalling its approval.

"Knowledge is power... And I know of the legend. I was asking of it's abilities." He then laughed a little, under his breath. He didn't think that sucking up chakra could be the only thing this kid knew. "There is more to it then sucking up chakra and giving it to you!" He walked right up to Samehada and began to pet it. He knew his chakra would be slightly drained, but he didn't mind. He never ever had any intentions of taking it. "Samehada can be used like any other katana, but there are abilities with it, that would blow your mind. I will not tell you the full extent just yet." He pulled out two scrolls, and handed them to Hiru.
"You can used Samehada to block almost any weapon and. Though I believe it would have a hard time with it's fellow swords. It's scales are very hard, and it can take a lot of hits before it suffers any real damage that can be repaired through absorbing chakra." The scrolls had techniques on them, but only two. He would help with the blocking. "Then Samehada had the ability to extend it's handle, to become something like a Kusarigama." He pointed to the second ability n the scroll.

"Now. I won't use my Nuibari to attack, due to not wanting to kill you. So I will use a normal Katana." He then stared right into the eyes of Hiru. "Never expect an enemy to go easy on you." He then got into an attacking position. "Are you ready Swordsman?"Training for Hiru: 1. Blocking : Samehada
Using a weapon to block an attack from another weapon is an essential skill to the survival of all shinobi. Obviously the techniques for blocking with a kunai are not the same as blocking with a spear. The size categories are Small(kunai and smaller)/Medium(katana and smaller)/Large(Kusarigama and smaller/Huge(15 feet or 25 pounds and smaller). Training: 1 stage Stage I: Samehada DC 15 Stop weapons from hitting you with a melee weapon.
2. Kenpou: Samehada Dangan (Sword Art: Samehada Bullet)
The user throws Samehada at his target while still holding its handle, allowing him to launch a ranged attack without losing the benefit of direct contact with the blade. The handle can stretch to very long distances and back, preventing the throw from losing velocity or the user from being separated from his weapon. When this technique is used, the weapon resembles more of a flail than an actual blade. Training: 2 stages Stage I: Samehada DC 20, Learning how to get the handle of the blade to stretch at will. Stage II: Dexterity DC 13, Aiming the weapon correctly at a target.

d20 [06] + Samehada [10] = 16 (pass/fail)
As soon as Shizoni was finished explaining what the first part of the training would be, he went into combat stance. Hiru gulped a bit in nervousness, as a Swordsman was about to come charging at him "not holding back". His eyes focused on his opponent, he held on to Samehada's handle firmly and got ready for the first attack. He barely had to wait a quarter of a second for his opponent to charge at him with a downwards slice, which Hiru managed to block with a bit of luck by simply tilting his massive weapon.
d20 [08] + Samehada [10] = 18 (pass/fail)
His opponent did not stop there, as soon as his blade came in contact with Samehada's scales he immediately initiated a rotating motion and, as he came down from his jump, immediately swiped his katana at Hiru's legs horizontally. This time, it appeared the blade itself reacted almost before Hiru did as it swung downwards, preventing the slide from even coming near it's wielder's knee.
d20 [17] + Samehada [10] = 27 (pass/fail)
Shizoni went for the final attack of his first combo as he pulled his blade back in a flash and thrusted it right at Hiru's chest, probably an old habit from having trained with Nuibari so much. However, the blade's massive size made it extremely easy for Hiru to block the attack as he only had to slightly angle his sword that was already facing down to obstruct the katana's trajectory. Once the combo was finished Hiru grinned slightly as he noticed Samehada growing slightly bigger with each attack.

d20 [10] + Samehada [10] = 20 (pass/fail)
Shizoni visibly took his time to see if the training was sinking in. He noticed Hiru had taken a short pause to feel the chakra building inside the blade and decided for pedagocial purposes to let him assimilate the exercise. However, pedagogy was no reason for slacking so, after a second or two had passed, he struck directly at Hiru's massive weapon to let him know the time for contemplation was over.
d20 [10] + Samehada [10] = 20 (pass/fail)
The blows were coming in a more rapid succession this time. Hiru had been staggered by his mentor's opening blow but managed to maintain his balance well enough to sweep Shizoni's attack lateraly as he had thrusted once more aimed right at his vital spots. As he progressed, he could more easily manage the variations in chakra flow that came from the blade's constant interactions with his body.
d20 [20] + Samehada [10] = 30 (pass/fail)
After the attack, Shizoni pulled his arms back while rotating on himself and tried to slash Hiru from under as though he was trying to split him two from the bottom up. His move had been incredibly quick but Hiru managed to place Samehada horizontally about at knee height to prevent the slash from cutting directly bewteen his legs. It seemed his progeny was now safe for another day.
d20 [20] + Samehada [10] = 30 (pass/fail)
Hiru realized that the massive weight of the weapon made blocking a lot easier since just putting it into an attack's path was often enough to stop it, but he wanted to go back to basics and try the classic block, which was basically attacking an attack with your weapon. When Shizoni lunged at him with a classic slash, Hiru swung Samehada forward right at the katana and intercepted the blade as it was heading for him.
d20 [07] + Samehada [10] = 17 (pass/fail)
The effect was all he had hoped for and more. Not only did his opponent's swing completely stop, but he also managed to reverse his impulse, pusing him slightly backwards when Samehada clashed with the katana. Shizoni, with a grin, pulled back for a while, realizing Hiru had nearly mastered all the essential aspects of this technique which differed slightly from regular blocking techniques with conventional weapons.

Stage 1: Stop weapons from hitting you with a melee weapon. DC: 15 d20 +Samehada [10] 9/10
d20 [11] + Samehada [10] = 21 (pass/fail)
Now that Hiru was clearly getting the hang of handling his new weapon in combat, Shizoni wanted to see if his skills were now sufficient to apply in actual combat. He obviously wouldn't go all out, seeing as a shinobi of Hiru's age and experience would probably not stand a chance even if he was extremely skilled in combat; but he'd put enough effort into it to simulate an intensity which would be expected of an opponent Hiru would mostlikely be called to face at his current rank and skill level.
d20 [03] + Samehada [10] = 13 ([pass/fail)
Quickly, Shizoni jumped at Hiru, not telegraphing his attack in any way with twists of the wrists or shifting of his feet. The blow came extremely quickly and cleanly, as a skilled weapon user would launch an attack. This time, Hiru wasn't quick enough to see it coming. He tried to block the katana but Samehada made it to his opponent's blade trajectory a second too late, as the blade had already quite deeply cut his shoulder. Hiru took a few steps back and held his shoulder in pain.
As he did, Samehada started tussling a bit and stretched its handle around Hiru wrist as it started glowing. Instantly, the shark man's wound quickly closed, leaving his shoulder in as good a condition as it was when they had started.
