Ashili let a half-smile show as she nodded slightly. Well, glad to know we see eye to eye on that, Lucius Quinn, she said softly, smiling politely as she bent her head down, leaving her eyes to stare into his still.

He retracted the hand he'd extended for her to shake, a little awkwardly, but no less warmly and downed the last of his coffee.
"I am grateful my angel has someone so dedicated watching after his welfare. Otherwise, I might have never had the chance to meet him. I'm blessed."

I've been watching Tristian since the day he was created, Ashili said, seemingly thinking about the incident. Anid, his father, my ... she let the sentance linger there, but she slightly shook her head. I've...just cared for him for a long while...and, if I hadn't, you would have never met him, especially with the line of work his father is in. She looked to Lucius for a long moment before smiling, the first time she had really smiled since she had taken her seat. I'm glad we got to talk, I can tell you really do care about him... she said, voice trailing off.

He smiled softly, nodding gently and realizing the topic she'd begun to lead into was not up for discussion.
"Thank you very much for giving me the benefit of the doubt, and for giving me the heads up, so to speak. But I suppose I really should get back."

Hmm... Ashili hummed softly, nodding some. I suppose you should...Tristian is patient, though, as I'm sure you've noticed by now...I'm glad he's got someone like you to look over him, I can tell he really cares about you, though there are still some lingering feelings for... she said, her sentance stopping. Gomen na... she said softly, changing the subject and looking up to Lucius. Anou...I hope you don't mind that I'll still be watching over him, though...

He nodded gently, standing and bowing, much deeper than he had pon her entering,
"I would consider it a personal favor if you did, and a persona offense if you didn't, Miss Ashili. I hope you will come by and see us soon? The place isn't much yet, but i has quite lot of potential to work with."

It sounds like a plan, Ashili said politely, standing to bow to him as well. She reached a hand out to him, tilting her head. It was nice meeting you, Lucius, she said, finally leaving his last name off of it.

He took her hand, bringing it to his lips and kissing it gently, in a very Southern gentelmanly way, smiling warmly,
"The feeling is completely mutal, Miss Ashili. We're currently living in the Underground Apartment Complex. But I'm sure you knew that already, dilligent guardian that you are."
He winked, grin turning just a shade rougish, and swept his things from the table, slipping out quietly.

((Hoo boy, I hope Candycane is still in here... Whateggs I can NPC the absent barista. Or you can, Sunny.))
Toussaint led the way across the block to the coffee shop she'd seen and poked her head in the door. "Bien, bien!" she cooed, seeing that the shop was definitely open and occupied. She pulled back and held the door open for sinya to follow her in.

((Usually I just order at the counter. :3))
Sinya followed inside, sniffing lightly at the mixture of scents. She smiled warmly then tapped at her chin while she tried to figure out what she wanted. "What will you be getting?"

"Well," said Toussaint, stepping up to the glass case filled with all manner of sweets next to the counter. "For now, a cafe au lait and one of these-" She poked at the glass with one long finger, picking out a cinnamon scone. "Also, a package of the breakfast blend and two of these muffins, please." She smiled at the barista and pulled her wallet out. "OH!" she exclaimed, sheepishly, and grabbed a rather expensive espresso machine off of a display. "I guess I will have to pay with my credit card today," she laughed. "I forgot I didn't have one of these at my new home," she said to Sinya as she waited for the girl behind the counter to ring her up.

Sinya grinned. "Hm...I think I will just have a simple latte...and one of the cream cheese muffins." She nodded to herself then pulled out her money from a small pouch that she wore. "You have a home? May I ask where?" She hadn't thought of finding a place yet since Nikolai had wanted to go directly to the library.
