"Have fun," Rhea smiled at them, pulling the blankets up over her children. "And if you wouldn't mind ... if you see Alena or Elros, would you ask them to come see me? I've some work I've been putting off, if they wouldn't mind keeping an eye on the children, I might be able to make an attempt at it."

"See you later," Rhea waved back at Lin and Miyuki. "And thank you!"

And as they left, she went to sit at her desk and took out some papers.

Aerin, Alena and Earendil were in the queen's study with the door open, and the three of them were sitting around a small table, Earendil and Alena on one side, Aerin on the other. They were discussing the progress of the work, as well as what else still needed to be done.

All three of them looked at the two who were interrupting their discussion.

"Work?" Aerin repeated, tilting her head curiously.

Earendil just smiled and leaned back in his chair. He didn't mind being interrupted if it means he could see his family for a few minutes.

Alena cleared her throat. "I know what she's talking about, I'll go watch the children for her." She turned to Aerin. "If that is all right with Your Majesty."

Aerin's brow furrowed in confusion, but she nodded. "Go ahead. We could use a break anyways."

"Thank you." Alena bowed her head respectfully, then rose from her chair and headed for the door.

Earendil laughed and caught Miyuki in his arms. "Take a break?" he grinned. "From what are you taking a break, Miyuki? I thought you were visiting Rhea this morning."

Aerin pushed back her chair and stood up. "Without Alena, we have nothing to do here," she murmured. "Earendil, why don't you take the rest of the day to yourself?"

Earendil chuckled, but instead of letting Miyuki sit in his lap, he stood up, holding her in his arms. "Well, that's right," he grinned. "When I'm working with the queen, I really shouldn't be pounced on. But since we're done with work for now, why don't we head to the city for a bit? We can check on the construction, see what the progress is, maybe get some candy ...?"

Earendil laughed and set Miyuki on the floor. "Then we should get going," he chuckled, ushering her to the door. "Queen Aerin will need her study to get some work done, and she will need quiet to do so."

He smiled at Lin. "Need to stop by your room before we head out?"

Earendil shook his head. "I have a few coins in my pocket, and we won't be spending much. It's more for the walk than anything, on my part."

At the door, he turned and bowed his head to Aerin. "Until later."

"Until later," the queen replied, pulling a scroll from her desk.
