I liked The Hunger Games too, but I felt it sort of fell apart towards the end. I mean, Mockingbird WTF?
Ugh, that book made me so sad. It was such a train wreck. emotion_donotwant
Yeah... that book. emotion_facepalm
I was sort of going along with it until
that one chapter near the end where like nine characters die, violently, within like three pages.

I know! Thats what lost it for me too. Like I understand
that you can't avoid casualties in war, but what she did was overkill(lol) and just didn't make sense.
Yes, absolutely! You are right in that
someone should die a needless, brutal, and senseless death, because yes it is war. But it's also fiction, where the author can choose events that have meaning. Have Prim AND Finnick die? One would have been tragic. Both felt lame and unnecessary.

I am Currently reading the Scarlet Contessa ( Italian renascences) Also the sword of Avalon an i have read quite a few other books Such as the Twilight series House of night Healers Choice Golems eye Pride an Prejudices just to name a few .
Yeah, I got to agree on those ones. The start of the last book was good but the few last chapters really left me ... "empty" almost. I liked that the story really kicked into new gear but the very ending "conclusions" seemed overly dramatic.
Especially the sappy ending with Katniss and Peeta having kids and "happy ever after" thing felt really out of place after reading half of the cast butchered few pages before. The ending was different, I got to give her that and she managed to "kill" all hopes on more sequels.
Still, I'd say it was worth the reading and overall the series was good.

I've been reading a Sci-Fi thriller called Empress of Eternity.
I JUST finished This Book Is Full of Spiders: Seriously Dude, Don't Touch It by David Wong. It was fantastic. If you love horror (especially the kind that comes chock full of dark humor), check this book out. I can't count how many times I laughed or how many times I was scared out of my socks. Great book.

I'm almost finished with the Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. I can recommend it warmly. It's just brilliant!
Just started reading Clockwork Angel. Liking it. But also reading Last Kiss Goodnight by Gena Showalter

Currently reading : LOTR: FOTR.
So far im a quarter of the way through it and Frodo and the other hobbits just barely left the shire. IDK , if the book is a lil more depressing than what i remember the movie being like. Tolkien sure likes to set up his settings/scenes though.

I've heard that, yeah. I've never read any of the books, except The Hobbit, but I mean to. You know, one day.
I was reading a Doctor Who novel, but I got distracted by fan fiction. Again.

I just finished Allegiant my goodness I know that some series have to end but this one had a doozy of an ending. I was really in shock. But seriously if you liked the Hunger games series try the Divergent series it is amazing.
