Hey. I post here. stare

Frankly, I'm surprised I wasn't made a moderator in the beginning. You know, what with the whole OOC Scribe thing...

Anyways... what have we got so far?

There's:

1. The stadium.
2. The forest.
3. The docks.
4. The village.

The docks obviously would be adjacent to both the village and the stadium... the forest surrounds both, though obviously not on the coastal side of the arena, eh?

In the village we have:

1. Dojos
2. Residences
3. Shops
4. Businesses
5. A helipad (suggested)

You weren't because you were bitching at the time of creation about being made moderator of other guilds without even knowing about it. :XP

I require a list of regulars.

Oh, and if someone has a server I can upload a .php file to, I could make an image map for the stadium and the surroundings.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 24, 2005 6:50 pm

I've got one... not too much bandwidth, though...

Kat leave Josh alone already dammit.

Okay- so far so good. Also, make note of underground tunnel systems below stadium.

Pat, what kind of server are we talking here?
PostPosted: Thu Feb 24, 2005 7:10 pm

Just like I said, Eddie. The kind that can host php files.

Making image maps are actually quite simple. The problem is just hosting them.

Joshie: how much is not too much?

Enough is too much...

As long as we don't get a massive influx of people clicking or refreshign the thing repeatedly...

What are these image maps and why do they need to be of the .ph format?

Oh- also, maybe a nice write up on a training area?

You know, one that can withstand pyros, hercules and what not working out in it?

Something akin to the Danger Room would be cool ninja

Quote:

"Over the years, the business within the Stadium became such a neccessity for the Village, because of the ravaging wars within the lands. Because of this, business has sprouted up within the country, thanks to the Stadium."

The village would be like that I suppose. Barring the moutain of heads of course. The stadium would serve as the backdrop for the village itself. The docks would be laid out next to the stadium, since the beach isn't that far from the stadium. The docks would be used for fishing and frieght. Docks would be mdeium sized. No portals, doors please..and routes, paths. Keep it natural.

The Trade Route: Upon the trade route(kinda like the merchants ring i guess, we can just call it merchants ring maybe) in the village, you can buy various items for your everyday needs. From the basic weaponry to even some of the rarest weapons(if your lucky), the training equipments one can use in order to further their training, the armorments to help bring out defense, and the other miscelaneous items that can be of use...

Ideas for shops: adding on to what we have in the merchants ring..

The Weapons Guild

Dagger - A short pointed weapon with sharp edges. Much smaller then a katana and most short swords. This weapon is better for stabbing

Rapier - A long, slender, two edged sword with a cuplike hilt. Not a very common ninja weapon, that is a bit longer then most short swords but shorter then most katanas. This weapon is better used for stabbing.
Cost - 250.

Short Sword - Simply as the name implies. It is a short sword. Short swords are normally a tad shorter then rapiers, but these swords are better used for slashing.
Cost - 300

Long Sword - Simply as the name implied. It is a fairly long sword. The longest swords available that are even longer then Katanas. These swords are better used for stabbing.
Cost - 450

Katana - The most popular sword among Gaians. Finely crafted with its medium length that it is perfect for both stabbing and slashing an opponent.

As for the ideas of the portals, maybe we can take that out, and place this instead:
Locations

Around the Stadium/area, there are many places to fight amongst each other. Seeing as how each enviroment is a bit different from one another, some places have some pros for fighting there while some have cons. Either way, it is essential that a person knows how to fight as well as they can in any condition and any place.

Forest
Alley Ways
Beach
Caverns
Cemetery
Desert
Grasslands
Ice Fields
Lake
Mountain Foot
Mountain Summits
Town Center
Wastelands
Windy Fields

--Descriptions--
Forest surrounding stadium - This place is only located about the village and stadiums area. It used to be a quite peaceful place. A place riddled with life. Trees, grass, water, animals, all that good stuff. However, now it is a place that is totally ******** to hell, with monsters, traps, and other crap. A great place to train if you can survive it.

Alley Ways - These are the back alleys of the village. Garbage cans, dumpsters, all that nasty stuff fill this place.

Beach - A sandy place near the ocean.

Caverns - This is an enclosed area that only has one way out. There many tunnels underneath the ground that lead deeper into the ground. There are a few other ways out, but they are not as open or noticeable as the main entrace into the caverns.
~Hard to escape from inside the caverns.

Cemetery - A place where the dead come to rest. This is a place of hollow ground and has an ominous aura of death all around it. It has trees, but thats about it, no other life dwells here.

Desert - A barren land where you will find plenty of sand and cacti. This land, eventhough it might be mistaken for the Wasteland, still is able to hold life.

Grasslands - A calm land where nothing really goes on. Covered in grass, flowers, and the like.

Ice Fields - This is a field of sharp ice mountains, frozen lakes, and open ice fields. This place was once said to be full of life, but the temperature all around it dropped suddenly, turning it into a barren land of Ice.

Lake - Well, basically, it is a giant lake. It spans about 10 miles from coast to coast and is very rocky. It is also surrounded by trees and grass. So basically, it is full of life.

Mountain Foot - This is a place at the very bottom of the high mountains. Sharp edged rocks, little if any grass.

Mountain Summits - Depends on your location. Could be covered in grassy fields, trees, with a high wind blowing through it, or, it could be covered with snow and ice.

Town Center - The center of the village. It is surrounded with buildings and people, and basically anything that is inside a town.

Wasteland - This is a place that has absolutely no life. It is dead. It only weilds trees that have long since been stripped on their leaves and the ground is colored gray because of the lack of life. Not too many can survive this land without the proper training, and even then, your survival is not guaranteed.

Windy Fields - This is an open field where the winds blow strongly through day after day.

New rules for the Guild:

The Rules

Yes the rules, the simple little things that run over this place. In order to prevent mass chaos among members and managers on this site (Although sometimes a bit of chaos is quite fun) But anyways, be sure to read through all the rules and have a general understanding of them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basic Rules..

-Respect: Be respectful to both managers and other members. Things go a bit smother that way
-Explicit Language: Please refrain from using any explicit language in either your roleplaying or even in the chat room. It can be used, but please refrain from using it.
-Pictures: You are allowed to post pictures, but you are NOT allowed to post up any type of pornographic images.
-Updates: Be patient when waiting for an update. Believe it or not, managers have lives of their own and sometimes just don't always like feeling up to updating something. They will get their updates done whenever they can, so don't bother them about it. If it gets like longer then week, then start complaining...
-Cheating: DO NOT CHEAT
-Bio: You must make your bio within 48 hours, or your membership shall be canceled.

Joining Rules...

-When Joining: Be sure to fill out all of the appropriate information that is needed. And be sure to place down what is needed correctly.
-First Post: Try and say hello to us in the Guild lounge!
-Bio: You must make your bio within 48 hours, or your membership shall be canceled.

Roleplaying Rules...

-Information: Do NOT apply OOC Knowledge to IC Knowledge. Your character cannot read minds and will not know everything about any other character. You can learn over time about various things for other characters, but that is over time and having some experiences with that person. Or you know another character that has information about them...
-Powergaming: Simple. DO NOT Powergame. It is just very annoying one posts actions in which is far more then their character can actually do. Try not to do this in battle or even in normal training.
-AMP: We follow all guidelines of the Anti-Munch Guild, and you should too.

Manager Rules...

-Respect: Respect all other members and managers. Do not randonly kick them for any god given reason.
-Banning: Do not Ban anybody without the consent of the other managers, unless there is a really good reason for banning them. Members must have the majority vote before kicking a member unless he/she has broken multiple violations AFTER at least one warning.
-Recruiting: For making anybody new onto the N/A Staff, it has to be a group decision with a majority rules vote from the managers.
-Kicking: Ok please do not use kicking for fun..use kicking for appropriate reasons only...

Quote:
Ascension

By defination, Ascension means "the art or process of ascending." Now that brings to what does ascending mean? Well ascending means "moving or progessing towards a higher level." Within this Academy, one works hard to move up to become the best fighter they possibly can become, or die trying. And this page tells you how that happens...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Academy Student
This is what everybody starts out as...a lowly not important Academy Student, that is just beginning their trip through the world of Gaia. Within this rank you have a long way to go until you can even think of being an acknowledged fighter of any kind..
