qwerrty didn't seem to mind getting wet that much, after all, he likes water. he saw that the humans were getting all wet. "why can't they just shake it off?" he started thinking.

Churring, chirping giggles could be heard over the cutting rush of the wind. The little faerie dragon, snuggling and clutching into Kori's mane, seemed to be enjoying itself immensely!

Tare just laughed and shook himself lightly against Paige! "Don't worry about it! I'm big, and a litle cold wet spot on my mane won't hurt me! You, on the other hand, could get pneumonia! Go ahead, dry off!" He gently swept around Kori, flashing her a grin and bemusedly watching the newest little dragon hatchling.

in response to the small pups question, the soggy poke tried to shake off all the water on her. Sitting on all fours she began shaking herself off. While plenty of water did come off it did nothing to dry off her soggy clothes/ But it did provide something interesting to watch..

Rosemary spluttered- poke just shook off all her cloud water on her! Muttering to herself, Rosemary first shook her head to stop the water from running down her face- she couldn't open her eyes because every time she tried, water would get in. Then she worked on her precious feathers. Although they were waterproof just like a real bird's, Rosemary carefully checked every crack and nosed little droplets of water out. All of this was instinct talking to her- waterlogged feathers also meant no flight. What's the use of a flightless dragon who was above the clouds at this very moment?!

qwerrty looked down, and noticed that they were getting very, very high! the little lunar opened his eyes very wide then gasped. he grabbed onto myrrh. then he looked at how water from poke was getting all over rosemary....and she was just doing her wings again. sheesh! those wings must take a lot of work.

Time crawled past. Minutes turned to hours to the point where even Minya's wings were beginning to ache. They had flown far - farther than most kyn could or would ever go in their entire lives. At least, that they would remember. Truth be known, many of the kyn flying this way right now had made this journey before - they just didn't realize it. Her flight pace slowed further, and slowly her altitude began to drop. Before she was below the clouds, she turned her head over her shoulder and spoke to the group. "Be careful. The drafts below these clouds are very strong. Do not get blown into the water."
Minya curled her wingtips under herself sharply, her wings snapping closed in the process, sending her plummeting out of sight and through the clouds. It also gave her the speed needed to get through the obstacle below. The draft was incredible for those that followed. It ripped right under the layer of clouds, an incredibly powerful jet of air that pushed back the way they had come. So strong that it couldn't have been anything but magical in origin. To those wielding wind magics, the stream of air would not budge or bend to their will. They could not touch it for all its power.
About thirty feet below the fast moving stream, Minya snapped her wings back open and glided. The ocean below was a beautiful, dark blue and the sun was high and warm in the air. The humidity had risen to a more tropical level. Despite the aching in wings and legs and arms, despite the shock of the wind, it was beautiful. Before them, resting snugly in the waters below, was an island. Sculpted with white sandy beaches, and a series of small peaks stretching up on the opposite side (evidence that it was once part of a volcanic chain). There weren't any trees or shrubs that could be seen, but the island itself was covered with green and splashes of bright color. Violets, blues, yellows, reds - flowers. Beautiful flowers of all sorts of colors.
Slowly, Minya began to descend towards the small bit of land.

Myrrh's wings ached terribly even though she was mostly gliding behind other's votexes. Still, she managed to beat a few meters higher after Minya disappeared, calling back a warning to her passenger. "Hold on, Qwerrty. This is going to get wild!" And with that, she angled her wingtips, one up and one down, sending her into a corkscrew dive. She snapped her wings in protectively over the lunar on her back, holding him on, and to prevent herself being caught too strongly by the jetstream. This was one time she was glad to be small and fast rather than a larger endurance-flier.
"Here goes!"
The silver European drilled down through the draft, her downward spin preventing too much drag on her and her passenger. Once she judged herself relatively safe from the powerful winds, she arched her back out of the fall and flicked her wings open. The redirection of motion tugged at her shoulders hard; she wouldn't be able to fly for much longer. Luckily, it seemed that they were approaching their destination. "You alright back there, Qwerrty?"

Tare slowed, hardly tired at all. Hungry, though! Of course, flight is effortless for Eastern Kyn, who don't use wings. He circled around. "Kori... I have an idea. There's no way that little one will be able to withstand those winds there. But I could carry the little one in my mouth to protect it. What do you think? Quickly, before we fall behind!"

Tetania watched what Minya did carefully, then tried to replicate the action. Such a sharp dive was not an action she performed before, but a bit of instinct and luck guided her through. Even with the power of the dive to get ther through, she was pushed back somewhat before she broke through the wind stream. Once she was in galmer air, she opened her wings to hover a for moment and looked around.
The scenery was beautiful, and Tetania found herself thinking that the trip was almost worth it just to see such a sight. But of course she knew that the rip had some other purpose, so she only took a moment to take in the view before slowly gliding after Minya.

This trip was dragging on forever...Rosemary has groomed her wings so many times, she's sure there's not a single atom of dirt on her anymore. She was getting impatient, and even took a few short flights before landing back onto Tetania.
When Rosemary saw Minya's actions, she instinctively felt her claws tighten onto the leathery hide she was on. Mechanisms in her claws -the same found on eagles- locked her foot in place without her having to waste energy. It will release it's hold when Rosemary senses the danger has passed, but for now- she held on as tightly as she could.
Grunting as a wall of air hit her, Rosemary angled her wings so the air would let her pass by without being blown off- all was done on instinct. The wind was harsh, and Rosemary felt a translucent eyelid close over her eyes to protect them. Ah who needs the second eyelid anyways? Rosemary closed her eyes completely and gave up trying to gain balance with her wings- the wind was blowing every which way. Instead, she grabbed on with all 6 limbs. Her front and back claws being the most useful, the 'thumb' in the middle of her wing was too keep her wing from being blown away, dragging her with it.
When the winds finally died down, Rosemary opened one eye and marveled at the beauty beneath. Oh gosh it was pretty, especially all those flowers. She spotted a patch of white blossoms, mingled in a patch of red flowers. That must be very good camouflage for Rosemary!

ohh good, when were they gonna get there?! poke felt so bored that her eyelids were drooping, untill she saw up ahead that minya had disapeared below. Hopefully they were there now!
poke had also seen tare as he had circled, and heared him mentioning something about the wind and "little one" she assumed it was the fairy dragon they were talking about. "hey! why don't you use some sort of magic sheild?" she shouted before thinking properly. Perhaps tare didn't even have crystals.
She wasn't able to dwell on this as she had suddenly hit the sharp wind drafts. The force of the wind almost sent her flying backwards, and she had to grab onto one of magnus horns before she was blown off. She could feel her body being lifted upwards and it felt like she was on a roller coaster. "WHHOOOOOOOO!" she screamed out loud, and checked back to make sure rosmary was alright.
When it seemed that the wind had eased up, she could see a small island with plenty of flowers. And hopefully of course; beaches! Judging that if she jumped of mangus at this point she wouldn't get killied, poke lept off his head and, falling a little landed in the ocean. The water felt so much warmer

Draco Magnus felt a slight weight lift off him... and looked down at poke's scream and splash as she hit the water. Oh no. Minya had warned them about the water, and Draco couldn't tell at the moment if she had been referring to just accidental wind-blown dunks or if there was something dangerous in the ocean.
Turning to tell Rosemary to hang on, he noticed that she was gone, as well. Draco experienced a brief moment of panic as he looked around, and spotted her clinging for dear life on Tetania's back. Well, Tetania had her, so she was okay. Now, he could put all his attention on Poke and not worry about lil' hatchlings falling off.
Diving swiftly, using his bulk to force him through the layers of air and atmosphere left, he suddenly flared his strong wings against his inexorable fall towards gravity and tightly spun like a huge kite fighting the wind. He noted with a slight frustration that his storm magic wasn't working, but he was a good enough flyer for it not to matter. Hovering off to the side to avoid pushing Poke beneath the waves with the downdraughts of his powerful wings, he lowered his tail like a ladder from a helicopter and called rather loudly as befitting his massive chest, "Are you okay?"
