Turning to the boy, Rouge shook her head. "In a language I speak if you dont' mind Zah. I need to know where you're going before you go. I don't want you to get hurt or lost in this-whatever it is. Okay?" she tried to be reasonable with the boy. After all, being unreasonable would end you up with a rather downtrodden child who dislikes you.

Shira was shaken from her slowly depressed mood by the drow's voice. "...wha..." She stared at him, puzzled. When Rouge stated that he hadn't been speaking english, her question was answered. He was speaking some other random language, apparently not of this earth. Shira intrigued and weirded out at the same. "I-...um..." Shira decided to keep her mouth shut, not wanting to seem rude in the state of crisis they were in.
Instead she noticed that the gray seemed to spread rapidly now, turning anything it touched black or white in an instant. She started to worry. How long was this going to continue for? How far was this going to spread? How many others were involved? She stopped pondering the insanity of everything to worry about the others. There were kids here too right? This was getting bad...

Unfortunately, Neveah wasn't able to skirt the grey spots for long. In fact, the entire headquarters, or whatever was left of it that hadn't been touched with grey, immediately became victim to the plague.
Now no ounce of color was left, save for the people inside. But even then, their color was slowly, very slowly, beginning to fade. It was gradual and only if you were really looking were you able to tell.
But it was becoming more and more obvious that something was not right.
Moments later, the headquarters gave a lurch, a giant tremor sweeping the entire building and gardens. It was enough to send all inside sliding to the ground rather painfully. It didn't end there, however, and the entire building and gardens began to rock back and forth as if a longer earthquake had taken over.
The shaking grew more and more violent and a loud, high pitched wail filled the room followed by childish giggling. The shadows on the wall multiplied and one particular shadow reached out, a clawed hand touching Rouge on the shoulder.
The touch left a VERY noticable gray spot where it had been before sinking back into the wall. After that one hand, hands began sprouting from all edges of the wall.
This is when the portal to the wand shop collapsed into itself, sending a blinding light to light up the darkness that had previously been in there - and once more the doors slammed shut. However, this time it was differentl. A very distinct locking sound could be heard.
They were trapped, with no way out (or in for those who haven't entered yet). However, it was no longer so black that it was impossible to see. The lights had apparently come back on.

Coailiann had been feeling quite safe in her little cupboard that was built into the main reception desk until the lurching started. It was far too dark for her to notice the greyscale that had taken over, after all, and the sidhe hadn't seen nor heard anything for the wood of the little cubby had muffled the noises.
However, once the tremors began and she was knocked painfully against the door, she began to feel a little panicked.
The child pressed against the door's latch, trying to push it open. Unfortunately, it was sealed along with every door other than the gardens. Well, that wasn't good.
So she did the only thing she could think of doing - screamed at the top of her lungs.
"GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well wasn't this spiffy. There were hands reaching from the walls and one had left a grey mark on her already grey formerly black trenchcoat. "Okay then. Right about now I want to see what's on the other side of that wall." all right so Rouge was a bit bored of all of the random things popping out of the wall and creeping everyone else out. Seriously the face dots were interesting but this was just pushing it. Crossing her arms over her chest after she stood up(as she'd fallen during the tremors) and walked closer to the wall, waiting to see just what it did next. "Something more interesting please?"

Ari looked at the butterfly lady and shouted, "Move!" but it was too late, the tremmors had come again, and she couldn't see her. Ari had fallen to the ground not trusting her legs as she held Art in the nook of her body as she wrapped herself around the child, protecting her as much as she could, but the child wasn't responding to any change in the enviroment and it was starting to scare Ari.
When the tremmors stopped Ari wanted to tell the butterfly lady that the room they were currently in was starting to resemble the other, but she still couldn't see her.
She couldn't see anyone.
She seemed to be isolated...lost...
[I'm putting Ari and Art into a little peice of no where because I'm going to bed, needless to say no one will find them or hear from them until I get back and manage to get them out of whatever place I put them]

Shira saw the grey suddenly fill up the rest of the room. She didn't have time to think about it when the trembling of the whole Headquarters happened. She let out a small scream as the whole place shook, jerking her forward and her body following. As her chin collided with the ground the building continued to shake. She groand and rubbed her bruised skin while getting back up, looking around to notice the speck's new behavior and hear the loud wail and giggling. Needless to say it shook her nerves quite a bit. The quaking hardly allowed her to keep up her balance.
And then witnessing the hand upon Rouge, and multiple others flying out, cause Shira to gulp and take a few steps back to look at the whole area. The Monotoned area and stale air set an eerie mood, with the strange giggling and grabby hands added? That was a big warning sign in Shira's book.
It wasn't until the room was lightened did Shira speak. "Rouge? Rouge are you alright?" She tried to draw her away from getting dragged in by the wall of clawed hands.

The hands disappeared at Rouge's demand, leaving the room quiet and still without so much creepiness. Unfortunately, it was ask and ye shall receive - but it wasn't likely something that Rouge would be expecting in the least bit. Something more interesting? You do not challenge entities that you can't see.
Especially when there's no escape and color is beginning to leech out. The hands may have receded, but hundreds of little, wiggling shadows flew from the wall and wrapped themselves around Rouge, swirling and humming loudly to defeat any other noise. It was like the buzz of a hundred bees.
They were intangible but left a sticky feeling against the pirate's skin, draining every last bit of color from the woman and leaving her feeling severely lethargic. She would be lucky if she was able to continue standing.
But the sliver shadows weren't done yet. Now that they had been drawn out by the challenge, they decided to have a little fun. As Shira touched Rogue, the shadows swarmed around her. They, however, did not take her color or energy.
Instead, they dragged her into the wall, leaving her in a pitch black room that was, unfortunately, a broom closet and sealed just like every other door.
The shadows, satisfied with the mischief they called, slunk out of the headquarters - most likely to call their friends. Little did anyone know that their life was causing a shining beacon across the in between signalling to all creatures that there energy ripe for the picking. It was definitely not a good thing.

"Predictable." she grumbled, half squatting and closing her eyes. One hand was braced against the ground and there was sweat on her brow. She was fighting hard to keep whatever was left in her where it was.
About that time the small glowing crystal that had been glittering in Rouge's hand went out. The woman took a heavy breath and fell onto her face. Her calm had saved her some energy-not much to be sure, not even Rouge was all powerful- but enough to keep her from completely passing out.
Right now she was going to stay put, keeping her eyes closed and her brain off. She was weak and she was tired and she had to replenish her energy. Her color wasn't that important. A tanned woman with blonde hair, blue eyes, and a completely black outfit isn't going to be completely interested in her color. And she wasn't. She was trying to regain her strength. To anyone who saw her right then however, she looked dead.

Shira yelped as the shadows started to buzz and seem to suck the very life out of Rouge.
"Rouge!" Shira yelled. She tried to drag Rouge's heavy body away from the offensive wall. She had seemed completly out of it as fell to the ground, looking as though she passed out. Shira shook her frantically as to try and wake her, then looked up just in time to see the shadows reach for her as well. She tried to scream and lean backwards to get away but was silenced by being engulfed by the shadows. Her eyes were wide and she struggled in defiance before being thrown through the wall and into a pitch black area.
By the end of the very short and terrifying trip Shira was hyperventilating and in shock from the energy that surged past her body. She twitched and was a rush of movements, dragging her hands upon everything she could to figure out where she was. With hair slightly disheavled she put a hand to her forehead as she realized she was stuck in a relitivly small closet. "Great...just ********>

What was going on. Everything seemed to be happening so fast. First the color began to drain then the HQ began to rattle and roll. Being dragged around by the butterfly Neveah. Kyocho couldn't get a word in edge wise. Something was wrong here...
Oak wasn't helping with the fact that he was scream and wailing his head off, but soon he began to simper down. Being filled with a sense and feeling of death and at such a young age. Oak was running through a whole variety of emotions... that’s until a small child by the name of Vanaja entered the room. A sense of life returned and filled the tree boy from his feat to his head. "Ahh?" Oak dug his head into his guardians shoulder and settled down at last.
Kyo took a deep breath. "Finally."
But it wasn't over for the two. A huge earthquake struck the HQ. Sending the two falling on the pale grey grass. Clinging onto his charge, Kyo tried to defy gravity and won. Landing on his back side... rather painfully. The elf held tightly on to the treeling. "Oak, don't worry. I've got you!”

Lilianna watched with terror as the shadowy hands began to reach out towards the people in the grey area. She glanced around the room and shuddered. Everywhere the color was beginning to fade. Glancing down at her body, she noticed that her clothes and skin were beginning to loose their color, too. She heard Rogue mutter something to the hands and Lily watched the hands recede into the walls again.
Beside Lily, her hawk lay, her color all gone. The falconer kneeled down next to her companion and touched Taka gently. Sighing, Lily shook her head, knowing that she couldn't do anything for her hawk. A thud on the ground made Lily jump slightly. Turning around swiftly, she saw Rogue on the ground, passed out. Widening her eyes, Lily wanted to leave, but fear kept her from moving a muscle. All she could do was watch Shina try to move Rogue's body away from the walls before she was pinned to them.

Thankfully, Shira's stay in the closet wasn't long. The entire headquarters lurched once more, all the doors except for the exit unsealing and sliding open at the same time.
The lights flickered only once and then the entire place was still. No new shadows appeared but there was a bright light that seemed to fill one of the windows for a split second before going out once more. A childish giggle ran across the entire place before silencing once more.
It was back to normal, except for the gray staleness....for now.

Lilianna breathed a sigh of relief when Shina was pushed back into the room by an unknown force. She nearly fell on the ground if her quick-like movements didn't kick in. Shaking slightly, she felt that most of her energy had left when some of her color started to fade away. She could tell that she had barely any color left, leaving her nearly drained of her energy. "This...bites," she muttered, slightly out of breath. She jumped slightly at the bright light in the windows and the childish laugh. "What was...that?" she asked to no one in particular.

Shira was leaning on the door trying to nurse her headache away when it opened, her falling through and flat on her face...again. She rubbed her twice abused jaw and looked around to find herself in a hallway. She heard the kid-like giggle ring throughout the area, and shivered at it's slight eerieness.
But the good thing was, the lights were on, and she was out of that damn closet. She slowly picked herself up and began to walk to where she thought everyone else might be, still needing to check up on the group originally caught in the fight with the shadows. Maybe everything would be alright...for at least a while...
