Grim nodded, then considered the young man for a few moments, " what kind of weapon will you be using? there are a handful of sith weapons, most modern sith use lightsabers, others prefer the more traditional Sith Sword. And a handful have trained with other such ancient weapons. With your affinity for lightning, I would suggest learning to use the sword, for it has no electronic parts to be damage by an emp, and it's blade could conduct the electricity. You are free to chose what you wish, but I will only train you in one weapon, whichever one it is you choose."

Grim paused for a few moments, then continued," The reason we start with weapons and not powers is because training will bring you discipline. As well, if you truely wish to learn the full powers of the dark side, they will take their toll on your physical form. The healthier condition you're in before hand, the better. I want a blood sample from you as well."

After saying this, Grim took out an empty needle and held it out to Illuminatus.

Grim shook his head, " First you will learn the blade. Then I will teach you how to construct one. It requires a good level of working knowledge of sith alchemy, and that encompasses quite a bit more than just making things. A sith sword is infused with the Darkside, and to construct one requires a high level of discipline and power. First, you will learn how to wield one. In doing so, you will learn control. And with that control and discipline of mind I will be able to show you how to perform the alchemy, the forging, and the powers of the darkside. "

Closing his eyes, Grim crossed his arms. His plams rested on his shoulders, his fingers pointing up. His cape draped around him, and Grim bowed his head slightly, closing his eyes. He called upon the force, niether dark nor light, and used telekinesis to call a pair of Sith Swords through the air. One of the greatswords landed in front of Illuminatus, splitting a rock and sinking into it. The other stopped in front of Grim.

He then opened his eyes, and took the sword in both hands. He pulled it into a resting position on his shoulder, and looked to Illuminatus, " Now take up the blade, and try not to delve into your powers. They may consume you. And though you may find yourself powerful in that consumed state, you will not have the control necessary to survive it. For now, you will learn how to supress your anger. It is the source of darkside power...and when you are ready to use it, I will teach you how to tap into it. How to put yourself into a frenzy. And how to direct the frenzy as you see fit."

Grim took up a stance, his feet spread and the sword pointing out from his center.

He then said, " We're going to go slowly, as you'll be learning the movements and stances as we work, rather than me teaching you a set of moves. When you practice, you'll be sparring with droids most likely. "

After speaking, Grim moved in and made a slow attack towards Illuminatus, the blade coming down towards the young man at a diagonal. It was aimed for his chest.

Grim turned his blade and jumped back a foot. He pivoted as he landed, and danced around Illuminatus. As he moved back in to attack once more he slowed down. His attack was a lazy arc through the air, a horizontal slash aimed to land mid chest.

Grim brought his sword around and blocked at an angle. He turned to the side as he moved, hold his sword behind his back and blocking Illuminatus' attack. He then advanced in and past Illuminatus, bringing the blade in for a slowed down strike towards the young man's belly and side. If left unblocked, the blade would stop as it met his body and stop before cutting.

Grim spun away and turned, springing towards Illuminatus and slashing agressively at the young man's legs. He was no longer moving at slow speed, more of half speed.

Grim spun, whirling to the side and pressing against Illuminatus' sword with his cape. The scales spark a bit as Illuminatus' sword slides along the polished and alchemically treated scales, then finds purchase between some of them and digs into the thick material of the cape. As it does, Grim brings his blade up, drawing it past Illu's face. The blade would not strike, nor bite, but the proximity would show that the posibility was there.

At this point, while Illu landed Grim said, " well done. But never allow yourself to be forced into jumping. At least not straight up, and never without the force the assist you. This spar is complete for the time being. If I didn't wear armor, you would have landed a righteous blow. When the time comes, I will craft armor for you...it won't be scales, but it will fit whatever motif you decide to don. My armor serves two purposes. To inspire fear, and to protect me from harm. "

((yes, I've started to abbreviate the name. It's just so...so long. ^^;
If I can assign experience points, I'd give Illuminatus 2 or 3. ))

Grim dislodged the weapon from his cape, smoothed the material out a bit, and stood. "Now then. Your next bit of training is this. Drop your gear, strip down to your underwear, and get on my ship. You'll be doing wilderness survival training. I'm going to drop you off in the forest and leave you with two things. Your wits, and that blade. Make good use of both and you won't starve or die from the wild beasts. Fail...well, you know what will happen then."
