Hmmm...
In fifth grade when we first started, we had five, and it was just members of the fifth grade.
Six grade, we had four--only two had stayed from my grade though, the rest were a grade ahead of us.
Seventh grade we had five.
Eighth grade we had five.
Freshman year there were three.
Sophomore year there were four.
Junior year five.
And now we're still at three, with myself (a senior), a junior, and a sophomore.

We had 42 Trumpets this year in my marching band. wink
Granted, we are Pride of the Mountains, but still. That's a lot, even for us.

I'm in the Burlington Teen Tour Band drumline. We have;
-6 bass drummers -3 quad drummers -10 snare drummers -3 cymbalists -3 bell players
In total, that means there is 25 people shouting "Rufio! Rufio!" at the beginning of every parade.

What can I say? I'm a tuba player. It's been a lonely existence in the band room.

the flute section this year is pretty small, especially compared to past years. we only have about anywhere between 23-28 flute players this year. i think 2 or 3 of them double as piccolo players too.
