(Not in context, it isnt. Sora is very very rarely depressed. And you very very rarely see a priest drunk.) ((unless you live in the south region of america.)) (((XDDDD))) Shinku looked up, his face and mood lightening a bit. "Well, ok. And what's your name?" Shinku rubbed his soaked hair a bit, drops and drops flying off and away from him. Only to be replaced by more and more water. "I'm Shinku Sora. Nice to meet you."
(by the way Izzy, could you do me a favor and...stay away from one liners?(unless you have writer's block, then it's cool))

[Pish posh. That is very clearly three lines. Where is all this nonesense of one lines coming from?]
Alison didn't bother offereing a hand to shake. That custom had always made her feel barbaric and utterly...human.
"Alison Atridies."
She pushed back a strand of her own black hair away from her face. As much as Alison loved (or didn't hate, really) the rain, it always bothered her. Stupid moisture makes her nice and fluffy hair turn into a sticky, slick mess. Which, in turn made her toy-sized horns that much more visible. Damn rain. Shinku's going to think I'm just some freakish human who is obssesed with demons, or something.
At some point in this somewhat woefilled train of thought, Alison realized she was still supposed to be having an exterior converstation as well. That's what friends do...right?
"You really must be bummed to trust a stranger so easily."

"If you wanna look at it that way, then yeah, I guess so." Shinku reached into his pocket and pulled out a very small cigarillo, identical in size and shape to the ones Al Capone used to smoke. It was as thin as a pencil and as long as his pinky. He snapped his fingers, and his thumb lit on fire for a moment. He lit his cigarillo, then shook his thumb dry. He puffed passively on it for a moment, seeming to lose track of the world.

Alison shook her head at Shinku's little display of power. Damn, but don't I wish I could do that... Her button nose crinkled as the smell of the cigarillo reached it.
"Ugh. How can you stand to smoke that s**t? As long as you are going to rot out your insides, do it with a better tasting f**."
The girl dove into her messenger bag, and resurfaced a few minuets later with a much abused, half-empty pack of Lucky Strike cigs. Atridies had meant to get ride of it, a long time ago, when she'd quit, but she never oculd bring herself to actaully do the deed. For some reason, Alison took some small comfort from just having them with her.
"Now...Luck Strikes...that is killing yourself in style."

"It's never about the smell..It's about the taste. These taste like a flavor of autumn. If you wanna talk cigarettes, you should definitely meet Austin..He's tried millions of different cigarettes. He's tried those Lucky strikes before. Said they were okay, but he preferred Djarum's black clove cigarettes over them. Hell, he's even tried stuff people don't usually know about..such as Hats Off." Shinku took another puff, holding the flavorful smoke within his mouth for a moment before releasing it in a small ring. "Me, I prefer flavor in my mouth.." Shinku rubbed his hands together vigorously for a moment, then sighed. "Recharged.."

Alison shook her head.
"I don't smoke."
After a long look to the battered back, she tucked it back into the bag safely. "And what a shame that is, love.." Alison shook her head again, this time as if to clear the voice from her head.
Digging through the back once more, she came up with a bottle of pills. Alison opened it with some difficulty (her hands were shaking horribly). The girl popped back two of the capsuls dry. Gradully, the presence in her mind faded away to a drug enhanced fog. She fingered the pendent on her necklace.
"So who is this Austin?"

"Oh, just a friend of mine..." Shinku finished off the rather small cigar, then put it out with his thumb. The cherry at the tip seemed to just..die the moment it touched his skin. After a moment, the rain ceased to drizzle, and Shinku looked upt owards the cloudy sky.
Behind him, on a second story window, Austin rose up and yawned from his place in bed with Kia. He scratched his matted hair, then approached the window to open it and stick his head through. "Rain stopped..."

You don't say, genus? Alison rolled her eyes, and said aloud:
"Pitty. I was just getting used to it. Ah well..."
The girl fluffed some of her matted and soaked hair, and looked up to Austin.
"Hullo, there. And who might you be?"

Shinku turned to see who Alison was talking to now, then saw Austin sticking his nappy head through the window. "Well well, speak of the devil." Austin saw Shinku, then laughed. "No thanks, I'd rather not. Who's your friend, Sora?" Shinku stood, a bit of pooled water falling from his lap. "This is Alison Atridies..Alison, this is Austin. The recently elected Kazekage..." Austin sighed. "Sora, I told you to keep that info to yourself. That's between me and the people that i've told, which only happens to be three people." "And now it's four! Four is a jollier number, in my opinion. Besides, Alison won't tell other people. And even if she did, you're leaving tomorrow, arent'cha?"

"It's pronouced A-TReE-dees."
That had become an automatic thing now, teaching others to correctly pronouce Alison's surname. It shouldn't be that hard to say, right?
"Where are you going?"

"The land of wind." Austin was rather blunt about his answer. Not because he was trying to be rude, but because he was stating where he would be going, and giving out geographical hints as to his new home and country would be giving out information that could be used against him. Sora, at that moment, noticed that Austin was topless. "Dude, why are you half naked?" "Nunya." "Nunya?" "Nunya beeswax, foo. This is my dorm and if i'd like to be nude here, then that's my biz. Besides, if it bothers you, look away!" "Doesn't bother me, but there happens to be a lady present here." "There happens to be a lady present up here as well, and she didn't seem to mind my lack of clothing!" Sora was speechless suddenly.

The land of wind? What the bloody hell does that mean? Alison shook her head, and thoughts therein out of it, and smiled.
"I'm sure she's loving the sight. Out of curiosity, is your other half clothed as well?"

"Out of curiosity, why would you want to know?" Austin smiled at Alison slightly. Interesting one, wasn't she? Shinku regained his footing, then resumed speaking. "Why are you always so blunt about sex?" "Sex is sex. I'm not ashamed of my body. You should know that by now, Sora." Sora grimaced slightly, memories of the time Austin streaked at one of his protest concerts rushing back to him. He shook his head slightly. "Whatever then.."

[Apparently, I've been a bad girl. 'Scuse me while I go deal with the ramifactions in bed, with my sweetie. twisted ]
Alison's eyes sparkled with humour.
"Why, I might just want to join in. But I'd rather want to know what I was getting into first. I'll take that as a 'no' however."
She cocked her head, almost bird like, as she watched Austin and Shinku's exchange.
"I hear a story. Please tell?"

(Get you some, hon) "Austin-" "I streaked at a benefit concert i hosted in opposition to the unfairness of society towards immigrants from latin countries. They gave them an unfair wage, delayed their payments for three months, and then laid every single one of them off and never paid a penny. The moment I found out about it, I got the gang together and made a benefits concert. At the end of our last song, i dropped my pants, ran across the stage and left. Following that, I set seven different buildings on fire in protest to their unfairness towards hispanic peoples of this country." Sora sighed. There he went again, being right out there with his life. It was almost disgraceful, but at the same time highly admirable. "So there you have it, Alison. My favorite bedtime story."
