Nodding softly the shidoshi walks away from his student and stands loser to the door. Taking out his own small wakisashi like zampakutou he says: "This baby and me been together since I feel into hueco mundo, together we fought a war and fortunately we are here alive to tell you this tale, but the bad side is that I'm too lazy to tell it to you...so I will resume it so you all catch the important part of the art of zanjutsu...What is important for a shinigami is not his strength, is his own weakness, the moment you see your weakness in front of you, the moment you embrace them...that is the moment you will see your real self deep withing yourself and so you shall climb all the mountains that fate have place on your path with ease. Now there is no point in making you practice with bokens or real sword, cause the real zanjutsu is inside of you all, is for this reason that I want you all of go to a place where you can be alone and seek that weakness that you all have, when you find it I want you to face it embrace it and in time kill it..."

Opening the door with his right hand he smiles and sheaths his sword slowly. "Ufff that was fine ! Didn't need to move a finger to teach them the right path !"

Megumi mused, watching the teacher. In a sense, he can understand what he says..though, he knows that martial training had to be part of it; doing katas and inner-searching only did so much. While Megumi himself wasn't a particularly violent individual, he knew that violence was inevitable when it came to dealing with hollows, the occasional ryoka, and of course, rogue shinigami; though those were rare, like precious gemstones. Shifting, Megumi thinks to himself. Weaknesses..? What would be his weakness? He can't think of it. He has the pride of his family, the will to win its prestige, training to some degree, vast potential..what would be his weak point? He sure didn't think it was roses..

The young woman, almost sensing Megumi's hesitation and curiousity, shook her head just slightly, before standing, using one sheathed sword to support herself.

"y'know thinken too much'll make yer head hurt." that smile was back on her face, and she waved to her other friend, Kaiya, who'd returned to class, though, a little late to see her beat the teacher.

"I won." she called to the girl, before her hand grasped at her side once more. Pain was not her strong point. Of course, she wouldn't die,.. but damn, it hurt regardless.

Kaiya blinked. That was it? No insights? No hints? No...anything? Was this how shinigami came into being? By blundering about on their own until they finally figured it out? She was all about self-starters. But she needed something to go by! So...She was to find herself? Find her weakness. She thought about that for a moment before leaving. She knew she had weaknesses. Plenty of them, in fact. But the weakness that the man spoke of seemed to be more than the dropping of a guard or the lack of follow-through with an attack. He was talking about the weakness that each of them carried. The one thing that would bring them to their knees regardless of the situation.

Her brow furrowed. She would have to think on this. It was no easy thing. To discover your one greatest weakness. It would require alot of soul searching. Her mind went immediately to her newly discovered training grounds: Strawberry Fields. The small meadow would provide the perfect place to train. Even the dorm room could hold distractions and interruptions. But not her field. It was secluded and perfect. She would go there. Her thoughts were interrupted by Ran's words. When they registered, she smiled with real warmth and brightness. "Congratulations." She gave a slight bow as the girl left. She hoped that Ran would be okay. That wound had to be serious.

Her decision made, she turned toward the teacher. Strange as his methods were, they would surely teach her something. She bowed lower to him, very formally. "Thank you, sensei. I appreciate your taking the time to teach me." She turned to the door, ready to begin her training. No time like the present...

Well. Megumi decided if he was to train, he knew where. The fields outside of the manor that his family had..those groves, where the flowers always were, they would serve such a purpose. Turning, cloak fluttering, Megmumi made his way out..but he gave the two young ladies a smile as he did. He had things to think on..and here wasn't the place, either.

Hajime walks into the classroom groggily. He favored the thought of learning Zanjutsu to Kidou any day. In life Hajime had a natural skill in hand to hand combat, and since he viewed his Zanpakuto as an extension of his fist he was somewhat exited to begin learning.

Dara walked into the classroom. As an automatic reaction she winced when she walked through the door. Her black and white hair used to cause her to be teased and be outcasted. Dara also had brown eyes with a golden look to them, it made her look unusual. She then found a seat and sat down meekly. Her zanpakou looked mostly looked like a normal sword except for her colouring, she was black and blue, and her composition, she had her handle made out of something like sapphire.

User Image Mizuki hurried across the courtyard, sprinting as fast as she could. Her zampakutou clattered noisily at her side, whacking her with every step she took. She ignored the pain and pressed onward. She could hear the professor's voice already, saying something about mountains and fate. Mizuki dashed faster.

But right as she reached the classroom doorway and was about to make her great entrance, someone opened the door from the inside. She saw it coming. She spun to avoid being hit by the door. The spin was beautiful. She missed the door by a hair's breadth, and ended up facing her original direction. She opened her eyes. Before her stood a class full of students, and one sensei.

"I'msorrysensei!" The words tumbled out of her mouth like marbles from a ripped sack. She took a moment to catch her breath. "I have no excuse and I am ready to face the consequences of my irresponsible actions, fathe-- I mean, sensei!"

Dara saw Mizuki and then grinned sympathetically and mouthed that she had been late too. Dara had barely reacted to Mizuki's slip. Instead Dara acted rather innocent and trying to hide herself and yet still be there at the same time. It was rather complicated to do. Dara shifted in her chair.

Kaosu looked at his paper, and then studied the door. Yes, he believed this was the right class. He walked through the doorway and made his way to the open seat, absentmindedly fiddling with his new zanpaku-to as he stared at the other's, whose most were straight. He sat in the desk, trying to ignore a few stares that were burning in the back of his head, he knew. He just concentrated on why he was here. Because I owe it to everyone I know.

Dara barely glanced at the new guy and his unstraight weapon. She was sorta used to any oddness in the shinigami academy and besides..... she had it much worse off then an unusual weapon. In fact, her sword looked rather normalish but for the colouring. It was something else, something she should remember... While she was thinking of this, Dara looked a bit sad and seemed like she was looking through her desk, her eyes more brown now then gold because of her broading sadness.

Kaosu stretched his arms and yawned, already comfortable in the classroom environment, however annoying it may be. He managed to catch the last bit of the teacher's prima donna speech, and he thought to himself, "Weakness? I see no weakness. I mean, sure, I may not be the strongest shinigami of all time, but I am certaintly nowhere near 'weak." But Kaosu thought further. Maybe it's not just a physical weakness. But, Kaosu couldn't think of any of those either. He just shrugged the notion off. "I'm strong." He thought to himself as he left the classroom, heading to his dorm.

"Well since I don't see a sensei around I think I'll just go for a walk around soul society." Hajime promptly left the classroom after his statement.

After Dara tried and failed at thinking of what she should remember, she thought of the speech she had heard coming here. She had waited outside of the door for him to finish before walking in because she didn't want a specticle but she still heard all of it. Her weakness? She knew it and had one already. She supposed she passed that. She knew she had at least four weaknesses, her physical strength which was good but never strong enough because Dara wasn't a body builder, her past or her necklace, her lack of experiance and the bad thing. Dara didn't know or remember what the bad thing was but knew it was bad because she regressed to childlike description of it. Dara knew she had to protect her necklace because her brother gave it to her and it would cause problems for it to be stolen. Lack of experiance could be solved by more training though. Dara was serious while she was thinking those things but when she was done she went over to the only person she knew to possibly ask for help with training, Mizuki.

User Image Mizuki turned around to face Dara. "Help with training? Me?" Mizuki beamed. Physical strength was not her weakness, but it never hurt to help others overcome theirs. Besides, just by the act of asking her for help, Dara already improved on one of Mizuki's weaknesses, confidence. "I'm not much of a teacher, but we can definitely spar together!" She placed a hand on her zampaktou, and marched to the door. "Shall we?"
