As another voice from another direction suddenly rings out across the night, Takato immediately tenses, sensing this voice wasn't...very friendly sounding. Where was the other sound? Ugh, it was so difficult to see through the rain...wait, was that a shadow?
Looking behind him, he made sure that his shelter was still there before starting to walk straight dead on to the shadow. Surely that was the voice where Takato had spoken to earlier...instead of the other scary one. "Hello? You okay?" He asks, as the shadow begins to take the form of a lion cub.

Raising an eyebrow, Takato only closes in on the shadow...which was now a cowering shivering little lion cub, absolutely drenched from the rain, just like he was. Wincing a little from his high pitched shriek, all he could mutter was, "Um...." Was he that scary? "You alright?" Takato nudges the little form gently with his paw. Good gracious, was he sick or something?

Keen eyes trained ahead, Kitwana caught sight of two dark shapes. Two very small black shapes. Familiar shapes... cubs? Good god, was he destined to encounter every miserable cub born in this land. Though a parental figure he was not, he was neither heartless, and grimacing, he made a decision.
"OK soggy kids, you've got five seconds to get your arses here and get shelter with another bloody kid, or I'm leaving you to soak."

As the thunder rolled through the land below, as streaks of lightning chase each other across the blackened sky, as the rain came down like the waterfalls, another... a strange one... sat within' the Pridelands trees. The white feathered one shook the rain from her dripping feathers, ducking her head once more to avoid getting the rain in her eyes. The rain was welcome to the wise owl, aptly named Roho, or soul when translated. Her white coloring was unnatural, and almost made her look like a ghost among the twisting branches of the trees. As another streak of lightning hopped across the clouds, she ruffled her feathers and ducked her head within the fluff....

((Location wise for anyone curious, she has a clear view of Pride Rock, and is about.... 2-3 miles away from the area...))

((Gack, so sorry for the sudden dissapearance, I got sick and rping was the last thing from my mind. xp So Mufasa is out and about again. If you want to play with him, just make some sort of post with reference to seeing him, wanting to find him, etc etc.. and I shall come. :3 ))

Dama had lain her head down upon her paws within the crevice and somehow fallen fast asleep despite the fury of the rain and storm outside, despite the growl of Kitwana's voice as he faced whatever was out there...She'd fallen asleep. Exhaustion had finally seeped into the gray lioness's bones, eyelids, ears, and tail too tired to perk up one last time. Drooping to the side, her head leant against the rock "wall" of her little shelter. Little snores emitted from the small muzzle, proving beyond any shadow of a doubt that she hadn't died yet.

Mataka pads in cautiously, her ears alert she turns her head around, seeing nothing but dry plains. She sighs and sits down, tail between her legs and her ears drooping slightly. Her blue eyes shimmering with tears. She was alone...She gave a small sniff and walked towards the caves in which the lions slept. Her big eyes wide in fear.

The grass owl looked to the giant beast and tilted her head. Her large black eyes grazed over the one now speaking to her... she realized it was like the ones where the sun touched the earth. Someone told her... long ago, that they were... oh, what was it.. oh yes, lions! It's a lion. Tilting her head the other way, she smiled the best an owl could smile.

"Do not worry for me, Lion. I will be able to fly again once the rains have passed. As for you... you look like part of the rain, as wet as you are. Come rest below the tree, it's not as bad here." her voice was soft, kind... nearly a female version of Mufasa's own voice if you could look at it that way. It seemed wise.
