My school practically shunnes them, but then living in a community that is mainly consisted of Mormons that tends to happen. The two lesbian girls there were always picked up or left out, and I didn't think that was fair. So I made friends with them. Those two girls, and a guy I meet through them that's gay are three cool people. They are like anyone else only their sexuality is different.

In my home town, Midland, Texas, people like us..... gays/bis/lesbians are treated well.... like they're infested with a disease or are Satan. This girls found out about me and well... they freaked and spread the word around and now when I wait for the bus the girls are extremely careful of me because they think I'll rape them or something. crying Meanies!

Ah, the "Watch out they'll rape us" problem. I'm familiar. I live in Panama City, FL. Popular spring break destination. So you'd think since MTV and other medias have been here, our little bum ******** town would start to become more open minded. Nope. All thats come out of it is a starbucks and a best buy... sad really. People still dont want to even try to understand that were normal people. Just because we happen to like the same gender (or both in my case) doesn't mean I'm waiting for any male in my age group to bend over so I can butt rape them... It's sad. I want out of this town...

Well, I live in Texas... crying Home of homophobic rednecks. xp

Anyway, the majority of the people are pretty stingy about it. I try to be as opne as possible at school...also, I have noticed that straight guys are generally accepting of lesbians, but not gays. WTF? I figured it's only because they turn them on. gonk

Yeah, only a small percentage are OK with it. sad It kinda sucks. I wanna move somwhere else! scream

Topics of facination and gossip in school.

Its becoming a little more accepted here. Straights love to take random pictures with gays/lesbians. Its even almost considered 'cool' to have a best friend as a gay or lesbian, depending what sex you are.
It was so funny, my friend's Mum was working at a new place, the Mum was a Mormon, and the Boss was a Gay. They treat each other really nicely, despite all the discrimination against gays and Mormons.

Lets see I live in Duncan BC Canada, and Im bi, I have a gf who I love, had my heart broken may a time by both sexs, and fell in love more then once, our school is pritty open minded if you catch the right people, its the "cool" one you got to look out for. Theygo around smaking eachothers asses, grabing eachother cocks and so on. But yet no on consiters them to be bi/gay/or les because, there 'cool"...does anyone else see a problem with this?? There playing off the underdogs to make themselves more cool, while making the acctual gays/bu/les feel like total s**t..I mean what the ********, talk about the shity end of the deal, anyways most of the people at my school are pretty homophobic come to think about it...

blaugh I'm from California in the area I live... Bisexual like myself get treated like we were a disease. Most of us remain hidden from who we are just so that we will not get beaten up for it by the people who think they can place judgment on others for not being the same as they are.
When I use to go to school people would ignore gay's bi's and lesbian's, it was actually pretty fun since most of them didn't care at all. But those who did would make school life a living nightmare.

Hi. I live in Texas. It really depends. At high school it was pretty open and there were few problems but I've had friends and known other's that had some problems. Here at college it's pretty safe and open and once again few problems but I've known people who went to different schools that had problems... some pretty serious. The lesbians I know seem to get less trouble then the guy couples.

I'm a straight girl, but im in a gay-straight alllience at my school. The bulliten board that we have for our club is alwayss covered with "F-you" and ethnic slurrs. But there's this one teacher who always stands up for us and more and more straight people are joining the club to show their support. smile

Okay, I'll try to make this as long as possible. smile

I'm straight and I live in Laguna Niguel, California. I don't personally know any gay people except for my friend Sarah who is bisexual. I was reading an article in my school newspaper and they talked about how awful it is for gay kids to go to school because they are teased and teachers usually don't do anything about it. I personally haven't seen anything except for someone calling someone else "gay" but I just assume that they don't realize how insulting it could be to someone who is gay to hear that.

I hope that was long enough. 3nodding
