I think that if they ever do make an Anita movie, it would be best if all the main characters were played by unknown actors.

Casting unknowns would probably be the best bet. I mean, that's why Stuart Townsend was cast in QotD, right? I don't really see him as JC because I already see him as Lestat. He is Lestat. Just as the Harry Potter kid is Harry Potter. Foreign actors would be nice, but the film industry doesn't always look at them first. I really can't say who I'd want for any of them because I have these pictures in my head of them and I don't think there is a match, really. Who knows, maybe some casting director will prove me wrong.
Oh! By the way...I'm going to go do that introductions page right now! *nods*

I was watching Crossing Jordan just before I came online and was flicking between that and 60 Minutes... I do that often... and they were interviewing an Indian woman called Aishwarya Rai. Watching what snippets of the interview I did (Won Miss World in '94, best known for her role in Bride and Prejudice, never been kissed in a movie role [stunned me too]) I suddenly realised that how she looked in the interview would make her a good Anita. Now wait, hear me out, I'm being serious. Sure, she's Indian... Not Mexican or even American... But she didn't really have that bad of an accent and what accent there was *shrug* meh. But appearance wise... well, check her out: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0706787/-apology for long link- http://www.imdb.com/gallery/granitz/1996/Events/1996/AishwaryaR_Pimen_1114496_400.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=Rai, AishwaryaBonus: She's short - not as short as Anita perhaps but meh. She seems to have the bust size - not that I would notice *cough*, though it may need some padding *evil grin*. I just hope these links work.

I guess it would work if she put on the dark brown eyed contacts and dye her hair black...

tankbbg Neko_Kitsuni See, the only problem I have with Stuart Townsend as JC is that he's just... not the French debonair type. I mean, he was awesome as devil-may-care Lestat, but I'm just not so sure about JC... You can vote for your fav JC candidate at The Page of Eternal Life, you know... blaugh Oh, I know I can vote. I go there! I just think he has the Jean-Claude look DOWN! Just blue contacts and bam!!! they said in the commentary of 'queen of the damned' that they didn't give stuart contacts because they didnt suit him....

FenrisVollmond Edward Norton as Edward! I think I have the right guy.. the one from Fight Club. And Anita is one of the women from Third Watch, can't think of her name. She played a detective that took along that woman's partner with her occassionally because he practically begged her and she was a bad cop kinda. She has the look and she has that kinda personality but I just can't think of her name, dammit! Selma Hayak is the one most commonly used in the pictures up on Anita Blake sites though... But would she be able to be rid of her accent if it came down to making a movie? Anita doesn't have that accent. Jean Claude... Too many candidates that just wouldn't fit the role. Same with Asher. yes yes!! edward norton as edward....i think he fits the part well...he is a very talented actor.... and tankbbg!! its me benazir!!!....stuart townsend as Jean Claude is a good choice...he totally looks the part.....but we both know our image of Jean-Claude is just toooo amazing for anyone to comprehend!!

After watching 'Mr and Mrs Smith' there is no way that Brad Pitt could pull off Edward. I say this because I seem to recall people saying Pitt for Edward in some earlier pages.

Speaking of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, I wish Angelina Jolie was shorter. I could so see her as Anita. But she is way too tall and lanky.

I agree, angelina would definitely have the attitude to be anita. I agree w/edward norton, too, although there was a guy i saw in a 90s movie that would have been perfect... too old now, though.
As for stuart townsend... i just see him as more of an Asher than JC. I dunno why, but he comes off to me as being better suited for it. *shrugs* i can't think of anybody else, though. I'd like to find someone who meets the JC critera, though. AUTOMATIC STALKAGE.
i don't think ANYONE from any anne rice movie should be in this, though, cause then people who didn't read the books would see them and think it was just some spin-off. and this series is NOTHING like AR's. I think they should make sure there is no mistake this is different.

I think I found a good Anita...The only problem is she has an accent. Her name is Monica Bellucci. She's been in Matrix 2&3 and was in Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis. If you've seen these movies, she is totally kick a**. The movie Tears of the Sun is what made me see her as Anita. Here's another picture:

tankbbg Anita: Selma Hayek-Desperado, Once Upon A Time in Mexico
Jean-Claude: Stuart Townsend-Queen of the Damned
Edward: Brad Pitt-(come on!) Troy
Zane: James Marsters-Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Cherry: Hudson Leick- Callisto on Xena
Can't remember anymore off the top of my head!
Brad Pitt couldn't play Edward... Edward would have to be someone more methodical along the lines of like Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs...
