Anything goes eh? rolleyes
So I'm assuming I'll see plenty of "instant death attacks", "unavoidable attacks", guns and firearms of all kinds, fighters claiming to be invincible, god-modding, speed-hacking, and all number of other annoying and n00bish abilities eh?
If this thing degenerates into that kind of a n00b-fest, you can count me out. I'll need to see a solid list of rules and "allowed and not allowed" things before I decide to enter or not.

You know. I would note that I happen to be on of the most out spoken supporters of firearms and people's senseless bashing of them; but if you take a stroll through my current battle you will see that despite having a supersonic round dodged not once but multipul times and still let it slide by that to lump all those that utlize them together is stupid. Though if I remeber the rules correctly there was something against instant kills and your other complaints. Looking through the rules I think that falls under the within logic, reason and common sense clause. Read the full statement. The Rule During a match, anything goes (within the bounds of logic, reason, and common sense) unless outlined otherwise in the rules.

Common sense states that a supersonic round is generally impossible to dodge if the person is firing with any kind of accuracy. I don't claim to be that invincible. Hence, if someone fires a bullet at me, my ONLY defense is to use my sword as a shield until they run out of rounds. If I'm unable to do so, I'm worm food. Anyone worth their rollplaying salt shouldn't flip around like Neo, unless they make use of psychic abilities or some such.
As a result of the firearm as a primarily lethal weapon that can kill with nothing more than a steady aim, I happen to frown on its use in RP battles.

Bullshit like that (what Ryugi said, minus the firearms) is why Deity can use Shunkido for anti-godmodding... xP ...people pull horse hockey, he can move outta th'way...very convenient for morons who try to cheat/cheap their way to a victory.
...in an attempt to stay in topic as the posts fly, Deity doesn't find firearms particularly useful, against himself or his opponent...he has a gunslinger character, but his guns are made for faster, more powerful rounds.

I refuse to let myself get caught up with anything that allows me to combat god-modding to the same degree as the god modder. If I can combat god-modding with my power alone, I might as well be god-modding myself.

Deity actually uses Shunkido for travel... xD ...in battle it's just cheap, so he avoids using it unless he must...or in other words, when someone tries to pull an auto-insta-kill-it-attack.

Also, please don't get my dislike of guns mixed up with me wanting them to be banned altogether. Afterall, look at Vash from Trigun. If someone wanted to use a gun like he does, that would be fine with me. He doesn't try to kill anyone, but rather uses the gun to disable or impede his enemy.
Also, a "Spell Gun/ Caster Rifle" like the one Gene Starwind used in Outlaw Star would be acceptible as well. It was an interesting idea that could be used in an RP setting quite well. However, a majority of firearm wielders use them to kill, at least this is what I have personally experienced.

If I am reading what Ryugi said right, this is basically what he is concerned about (minus some firearms factors), Anti-Munch Guild List of what we're against: The people who never miss a single shot no matter how hard it is (Aimbotters). The people who can't be hit or just shrug it off (god-moders). The people who have absurdly strong powers (twinks). The people who 'balance' thier characters by having a massive but irrelevant weakness and massive powers (min-maxers). The people who use Out Of Character knowledge to get an edge (Miss Cleos). The people who do things in hindsight (McFlys). The people who RP other people's characters for them (Puppetmasters). The people who RP completely irrelevant things (Daydreamers). The people who RP actions and time against others while the others aren't presant (Shoe elves). The people who ignore or alter RPs that they don't like (Revisionists). The people who RP an absurdly time consuming sequence occuring between other people's actions (Speedhackers). The people who play as characters that are completely impossible (Oxymorons). The people who arbitrarily declare themselves the winner with instant death attacks (Baghdad Bobbits). The people who've taken actions before they start RPing (Gaseous Snakes). The people who alter thier character as needed for the situation (Zoicite). The people who gain abilities as they need them with no prior exposure (Trinities). The people who pick-up things that spawn from seemingly nowhere (Quakers). The people who assume an opponents reaction instead of waiting for a responce (Munchers). The people who can see/walk through walls because they don't pay attention to where they are (Ghosts). -Edited-

Oh, Deity has nothing against or for firearms...he hates to sound like he is fitting in with th'group of people you hate - though, skimming through the conversation at hand, it would seem he is ^o^; - but his character is generally unaffected by'em...he is typically faster than modern firearm rounds and is durable enough to not be killed by them... o 0; ...so he generally doesn't see those as insta-kill-its unless used against a character vulnerable to them.

I'd call that Speedhacking just from hearing it, but I'd have to see how you'd RP it out. Also, that last statement was aimed more towards Ms. Impact.
