Sun stared into those happy then gradually wilting green eyes for a moment, and then his head thudded against Athel's shoulder.
"No," The voice was very small sounding even to Sun. "It's very beautiful, thank you Athel'en." I'm seeing shadows not even there, hell, I must be tired.
"Would you accept my apology? I know I've been rude." The grip lessened against the other man. "I'm a little jumpy after Aiysin saved me, but I should have put more faith in her choices."
His lips quirked lightly.
"Regardless, I don't want to break your heart, but..." He stalled and fell silent, wheels turning in his mind but nothing coming out. Sun couldn't really say he was taken, could he? Was he?
This was too much to think about, and he sighed, wishing not for the first time that he could just give up.

The elf was resilliant!~ As soon as Sun brightened, he was back to beaming at him, like a love-struck schoolboy. If he'd been a dog, his tail would have been wagging excitedly and his tongue would have been lolling out!~
His hand raised to Sun's head as it rested against his shoulder, fingers running soothingly through his quickly drying hair.
"No need to apologize to me!"
When Sun seemed like he was about to tell him that he was committed to someone else, the elven man's arm slipped around his waist and tightened protectively.
"Exclusively?"

Sun blinked, startled at the question. He had an extremely sinking feeling. He didn't want to be dishonest but...
"I like to think so?" Well, it was a timid answer at best, at worst it might be taken as an invitation. He felt the pull of the arms around his waist and his tounge moved along the back of his teeth in temptation. It would be so easy...
Both hands rested, palms flat against Athel'en's chest and very gently pushed, trying not to be too hurtful. He was out of the frying pan and now getting uncomfortably close to the flame.
"I don't like to...assume, in case it's a mistake..."

"Are you exclusively together? Or is this a one sided commitment?"
Shin's cheek brushed against Sun's, like a cat, nuzzling ever so gently, his fingers massaging the red-heads scalp as he coaxed him slowly.

Sun swallowed the sudden lump in his throat, fingers drumming lightly against the darker chest, black hair brushing his face lightly as he turned into the movement. When his voice came, he really wished it didn't sound half as breathy as it was.
"Those are not really fair questions, Athel'en...I don't even know you."
Stall. STALL damnit! Wasn't there some kind of emergency security button that he could hit to get Aiysin back?!

Shin averted his eyes to the floor and wouldn't look Sun in the face.
"What's so great about him? You don't know if you are or aren't... If you were-- Tiandurl! "
He cursed lightly in elven and then looked at Sun, meeting his gaze painfully.
"If you were mine, I wouldn't leave your side... and I'd make damned sure you were never 'not sure.'"

Sun froze and looked into those green eyes.
"Athel...who are you really talking to, because it wasn't me there for a second." The red head tilted in the grip the elven man had on him. "And...I didn't ever say I was attached to someone male."
He slowly started to pull away from the hands. "You're more then just a paige, you admitted that...but how much do you know about me...?"

The elf smiled, placed a kiss to the back of Sun's knuckles and scratched the back of his head. Releasing the salamander, he got to his feet languidly, his hair a dark contrast to the smooth pearlessence of his skin. He held his hands up in defeat.
"I've been found out then"
He smiled and bowed. A low sweeping bow, reserved for the utmost formality. It was if it rained ebony about him, as his hair flowed about his figure. He raised emerald eyes to the other man.
"My name's Shin'athel'en'dros, pleased to meet you at last Sunstrike."
He seemed intent on the red-head's reaction as he straightened.
"As you can see--"
He said in a low drawl as he reseated himself, leaning back comfortably once more.
"You have nothing to fear from me, other than playful curiosity... oh... and the fact that you think my buttocks are nice."
Shin waggled his finger at him and the closed his eyes.
"I don't see why Aiysin made such a big deal out of me-- That woman is so over-precautios sometimes.... Y'know what? She hasn't liked me ever since I took the last dumpling at a pot-luck dinner eight months ago! Talk about a grudge."
He actually pouted as he watched Sun through half closed lids.

Sun drew himself all the way back in the chair and blinked at...Shin. So much to try and get his head around. He put his head in his palm and just looked at the other man, wondering whether he should panic, or be angry.
After the last statement there was a small laugh from Sun, but he still didn't move from his place. The silence stretched and those strange eyes were still pinpointed, as if in panic or in shock.
Finally they settled on something unexpected. Raw hurt and sadness drifted through Sunstrike's eyes and he pulled his legs up, cutting Shin off from himself as he turned away and cuddled up to the chair, robe wrapped around his body like a shield.
"Leave."
It was one word dropped into the darker room, quiet and direct.

"It might not be worth much Sun... but this was important to me, and I'm not sorry for my deception. I needed to see what you were like without who I was getting in the way-- something like it is now..."
He leaned forward and stared intently at the other man, feeling guilty as he hunched over, isolating himself.
"Please--- The Sun's brightness should never dim, not for anyone. Not me... not him... It isn't your time to set."
Shin had moved up behind him and wrapped him in a tight hug, resting cheek-to-cheek over his shoulder. If Sunstrike was paying any attention, nothing had changed in Shin's body. He was relaxed and the movement wasn't forced.
"Forgive me, please Sunstrike..."

Again a stretch of silence after Shin's last words. So much so that the elven man might have tried to get up, only to find enough strands of his hair captured, that pulling away completely would have been a bad idea.
"I'm not some plaything that he just picked up. I might not be able to control such things when they happen...but on principle I don't like being used as a toy. " Sun looked at the jet hair in his fingers, stroking them softly. "Especially when my emotions are as laid bare as they are now."
Another chance...everyone deserves one.
"You owe me, Shin, a bond. You're bitterness has cost you, and you need to realize this."
Again, the words fell into the air as if they had weight and substance. Fingers tangled themselves in the dark hair and followed all the way up to the back of the tall elf's head, holding tightly. Sun finally turned around then, facing the green eyes, the raw need in the orange depths was frightening, even if Sun's mouth did quirk once again in a smile.
"Lucky for you, all I'm gonna ask for is a kiss, anyone else would have that nice a** of yours on the bed, elf." He moved closer and closer until his lips pressed solidly against Shin's, hard enough to bruise, the tension and weight easing off his shoulders as he breathed out through his nose.

The distance was half closed by Shin of his own will. Soft lips locking with Sun's, returning the strength and rawness of the kiss. Shin bit softly, as he caught Sunstrike's lower lip, and then thrust his tongue past lips, probing the red-heads mouth eagerly.
One arm wrapped around the smaller man and held him firmly, securely, the other slipped into the bathrobe, and traced patterns over his flesh, low sounds sounding from his throat.

Sunstrike enjoyed it, all up to the point where the hand shifted and slipped into the robe. He made a sound that was uncomfortably like a squawk and pulled back with a gasp, trying to make sure he had a hold of both hands and ending up mostly naked.
"You evil son of a b***h...you really do want me..." The breathlessness and panic kind of damaged any real bite to the curse. Sun had assumed Shin had just been playing the part to damage Vahn, which was why he'd been so hurt.
But, hell this was just confusing now.
"I can't sleep with you, Shin."

Shin would pull Sun to his feet, supporting the other man's weight against his shoulders and chest as to keep the pressure off his injured leg.
"You don't have to sleep with me Sunstrike-- But there are other ways of being together..."
He lowered his face and kissed him hard on the lips before moving down his jawline, to his neck-- his tongue flicking out and licking a warm line of wet down to the exposed segment of collar bone.

Again the surprised sound as Sun was hauled up by his own grip on Shin's wrists. This was getting out of control. He tried to glare and failed utterly, looking almost pleading to get out of this.
"Shin that's not what I..." He choked on the words, and let go, rubbing where Shin had licked, trying to back up, but the room wasn't exactly big, his legs were already brushing the chair. Sun moved around it, until there was a solid object between him and the elf.
"Shin, I'm trying to say that a "maybe" is better in a relationship then "nothing." D-doing all this with someone like you will reduce me to nothing."
