She smiled. "Good, that's a good rate. I'll take the corner room, that thing would walk right off a cliff if I let it. About as smart as a lemming, he is." The creature paid Greff correctly with the same coinage she used before. "Name's Kitasu, by the way, if you want to call me something. And when I'm not," she looked to Ketlin, "Scaring small children, I'm a travelling merchant. What may I call you by?"

She chuckled. "Oh, Grunty? He's a.. well, actually he's CALLED a Grunty. He's basically a small, cute cow with a brain the size of a mustard seed, as I've said before. He's quite harmless, really. Gruntys are apparently riding and pack animals in some place called 'The World.' Anyway, he shouldn't shake up your inn again, I was distracted and so just didn't stop him soon enough. I'll be keeping an eye on him when I'm not sleeping, in my room.

"I've actually been looking for a buyer for the thing, but there isn't much of a market in the places I've been to recently..." She sighs slightly, then straightens up. "But, he's cute, and really rather a nice creature, so it shouldn't be too hard to sell him."

"Well if he is strong enough, you may interest a farmer for him to be a plow animal. But most people want rather intelligent pack animals. If makes a journey much faster if you dont have to keep whipping your beast of burden back on track." Greff said.

"A Nalima. My ride. It's in the stable, though I hope it didn't kill anything." She said, quickly walking into the stable and looking about. Over the stable doors, she saw a black mound in the back. Walking over, she looked over the stable door and saw her Nalima. It was a rather impressive beast, if you got over being scared to death first. It's head, that of a raven, held many white eyes that turned about and didn't blink, which made bits of staw stick to some. Though it's ebony plumage shined with a deep blue hue, it faded to the short hairs of it's body, which was a mix of either a panther or a dog, and then it's legs went back to talons. It's wings also held the typical raven structure, but it's 8 tails where no animal at all. Black, it looked like serpents but instead of heads, it had sharp blades that dripped at all times with clear liquid, and seemed always hot around them. "Hello there." She said, to which the Nalima perked it's head up and gave out a ear splitting shreik that reached a high ptich and was a mix of a reptile and a bird. This didn't effect the muse, who just smiled.

They arrived at an empty room upstairs. It hardly looked lived in because the bed was made, but Hitori's camping back was in the corner. Ketlin peeked in and shook his head, then looked to Sortha for guidance. He didn't know where to find his step dad.

Hitori followed behind Artemis at a polite distance. He stared at her creature placcidly, hiding very well the fact that he was frightened. He'd seen beasts more frightening, after all, and this one was tamed. "I've never seen one of those before," he said quietly.

Kitasu cringed at a loud noise outside, and quickly put the Tripple away, grimacing. "What was that, I wonder?" Soon after, there were several rhythmatic bumps, tugs and twangs as the Grunty outside tried very hard to get away from the stables. She sighed and quickly, lightly ran out of the bar.

She arrived at the post where the creature was tied, which was in view of the stables. "Hey, stop that, don't pull the post over! That post is important!" She kneeled down in front of the creature, which was still pulling in the exact same direction in the same way, and put a clawed hand on it. "You need to relax, there doesn't seem to be anything out here. Let's see..." She dug in her robe and pulled out something that looked a lot like grits and oatmeal compressed into a cake. "Here, eat, it will make you feel better, you dumb cow..." She held it out for the Grunty, which promptly ate it whole, sat down, and generally seemed to forget the whole thing.

She sighed. "I ought to get something out so you won't hear anything that'll scare you anymore. Hmmm..." She reached into her robe again and, after a bit, pulled out very large cotton balls. "These should work well enough. I really need to sell you off." She stuffed the balls into the Grunty's ears, stood up, and brushed herself off. "But what made that awful noise? Even a smart animal would have been spooked by that racket. Well, I think it came from the stables, so..." she sighed and walked toward the stables, where Hitori and Artemis where standing, and stopped near the stall where the Namila was. Leaning her neck forward to see, she raised her eyebrows when she spotted the creature. She turned her head towards Hitori and spoke to him quietly. "Is that thing dangerous? Did it make that awful noise?"

Kitasu shot a mischevious grin right back at Artemis. "Good. Please shut it up lest I get annoyed. I might do something unpleasant to it." Without waiting for an answer, she turned to Hitori and spoke to him politely. "Good evening, sir. I will likely see you at the bar later. Perhaps there we may formally introduce ourselves." She then turned around and walked back toward the front entrance.

She walked into the bar and sat at the stool she had gotten up from. She turned her head towards the bartender, smiling amiably and speaking as if nothing had happened. "Another shot of vodka, please. I need all the alcohol I can handle if I'm gonna be able to deal with that stupid cow out there."
