"Wes...be a dear and hold this. I'm going to go after her" She said softly, pushing the book into the arms of her love then scurrying out of the door with a slightly worried look on her face. She found her not to shortly after wards, and she pushed back a strand of loose hair her eyes now slightly troubled by the girl running away.

"Listen, child, I had no intention of harming you in any way. But you've got to listen. When I read the book it made me feel...vile. It caused me pain in my head and just generally has a feeling of Ill will. It is not a book of good...but I would still enjoy being your friend. Please don't cry...I don't have very many friends...but i'd like to have you as one still...please" She said softly, her face now creased into a worried frown.

Tears still flowed down from her eyes as she spoke,

"The book has no meaning of ill will, it was made to keep secrets that were long lost to the world. Secrets that no normal human can ever learn. I can read it, but you can't. For you have not been chosen, you have not seen what is inside it. The things about this marvelous world. That's why it's so thick, you see. It holds so many things, but when I touched it, I knew. This book was made from many other people. Every one adding secrets that no other but who the book chooses may learn. I am to also put things in that none others are supposed to learn until I die."

The tears had slowly stopped, and she stood up, brushing herself while holding her staff, which had grown with her.

"You can have the book, but you'll never be able to read it or open it ever again. It now won't open to anyone but me, and until I die only I'll be able to read and study the secrets of this world and others."

Smiling softly, she paused before continuing.

"I want to become an Aes Sedai... Could I start training? I promise I'll be nice to others and work hard!"

Lily knew that she would.

Kali straightened herself and gave a slight shake of her head at the explination given to her about the book. If it held so many great secrets it should not be shown to a child. It shouldn't be shown at all, to any. For even though it held secrets who's to say they were good ones? Ones that would be used only for things of good. That was nothing that could be assured.

"Well thats a way to avoid my question" Kali gave the girl big, brown puppy eyes and stuck out her lower lip looking slightly like a sulky child.

"You never said if you wanted to be my friend" She sighed, her shoulders drooping, and then she brushed back another lock of hair. "I'll keep the book hidden away until you are older. An Aes Sedai to be percise, for I personally do not believe you are ready. Until then, if you are going to be Aes Sedai, you need to work on other things. Now...lets go back to my room and speak of my pleasent tidings" She said softly, turning and going back towards her own room.

Running after Kali, she caught up and send through mind-speak,

"I'm sorry, I'll be your friend. You can burn the book, for now I am the keeper of secrets. Every book that is made has been burned and been rewritten. They are always the same, yet with little differences that the keeper of it has added. When I die, a new one will have been made 1 hour before I do. I know it will happen, for it has been told."

Though she knew some secrets were wrong, and some were right. Lily couldn't do anything in the world at this moment by using the book's contents. For if she would have, she would have destroyed the balance of life and death, fair and unfairness in the world. This book is too powerful for one to use on humanity. It was made, not only for those devoted to keeping secrets, but also to save humanity at the time of greatest need.

Lily didn't want to admit it, but keeping so many secrets within her was hard, and slowly, she shed them away. One by one, into the very depths of her mind where she could extract them when she needed to. Now, she knew no secrets, they were locked away. Locked away until the few moments before Lily would die. Locked away until when?

"Well in that case i'll do just that. Wouldn't want people to hollar at me for having a book that causes pain to the reader. Wes be a dear and burn that book?" She said walking into the room and going towards one of her own massive book shelves her eyes quickly scanning the rows of books for the one she wanted. Taking it she turned to Lily and held it out "This is one about the hardships of Novice Hood I think its best you read it. And thank you for being my friend. I'll try my hardest to help you when you have questions, I might even be your instructor at one point" She gave the child a smile.

A giggle was heard in the minds of those in the room, it seemed to come from Lily.

"It's alright, I don't really need the book. I already know!"

A mischievous light was in her blue eyes as she covered her mouth as if doing it would stifle the giggles that were really coming from her mind. It seemed that the 16 year old was again 11 as the book was burned. Yet the memories remained and so did the secrets that she kept locked in the deepest part of her mind.

"Well that takes the fun out of it, dosn't it? In that case I believe the next course of action would be speaking to the Mistress of Novices" She smiled, and then noticed for the first time that she remained in her leggings and tunic rather then the rather average brown dress she wore on a daily basis. Oh my, but weather the child knew or not it would be best she went and spoke to the Mistress of Novices.

"Have any questions?" She asked, raising one slim brow then going over to her wardrobe searching for a dress.

Wes had gladly incinerated the vile book, but the look in Lily's eyes told him it did not matter. He could not say why, no one could have read the entire thing, but he was still nagged by that look. It seemed Lily had not yet become a Novice. At least she would be looked after that way. Wes was pretty sure he would actually enjoy the old routine a bit more after this whole ordeal, though stretching his Dream Muscles had been fun.

Feeling Wes's gaze on her, she knew he probably wouldn't trust her somehow. But ignored it and smiled back at Kali and smiled even wider when she heard Kali's thoughts of beeing in leggings and a tunic.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Is it possible for me to use my powers here without being a novice, accepted, or Aes Sedai? Or do I have to look for the Mistress of Novices by walking.. Not that I'm lazy though."

She gave flashed a beautiful smile while pulling out a small band from her dress pocket and pulling up her hair into a high ponytail.

"Child if you can read my thoughts its awfully rude to be doing so. But using the One Power is frowned upon save for in class and by full Sisters" She said softly, smiling to Wes and then Lily before motioining to give her one moment as she went off into the bed chamber to change.

((Well, here goes nothing.))

She was hard put not to hit the various people in front of her. Two of the most dangerous criminals present had escaped. And why? Because of sawdust!!

I'm going to have to revise the laws regarding the dungeons it seems.

"Very well. I understand the predicament you were placed in. However, the Tower cannot condone blind submission without questioning, simply because of rank. You will all endure a minimal punishment. You are also forbidden to go near the dungeons. Finally, under no circumstances, unless otherwise ordered by the Mother or myself, are you to involve yourselves-directly or indirectly-in matters pertaining to this situation. Do you all swear that?"

There were grudging nods, and she took note of the clenched fists. She would likely be hated for a long while after this. Now began the public notice. She already had sisters recruiting likely hunters; they were told to come to the Tower courtyard later that night if they were interested. She was tempted to join them, she was lacking practice anyway.

"I'm sorry, I don't read them on purpose. They come to me. I just hear whoever is near. I consider it to be both a gift and something bad sometimes."

A laugh was heard in everyone's minds. A laugh more mature than the girl she was before.

"Sometimes it's good to hear, but sometime's it's hurtful. People think things that they shouldn't think about at all."

*Wolf continues practicing until he hears a Aes Sedai asking if anyone is willing to join in the hunt for Az and the 2 criminals. He stops and sheaths his sword and walks over to the Aes Sedai and talks to her about it, finding out he has to wait until later in the night in the courtyard before anything starts to happen. He bows the the Aes Sedai and watches her walk away before continueing with his practicing.*

Kali changed quickly sliding her hands down her brown dress with a slight smile and then entering the room once more tossing the end of her braid over her shoulder so that she could take out the leather tie in it. Then she slowly unbraided her hair, redoing it quickly with swift fingers before looking to the child. Kali looked like she had a simply absent look on her face, though it was completely farce.

"Its just darn right rude. You should block it out" She said softly.

Pynk hiked her bow to her shoulder and made her way out to the practice fields. She'd been neglecting her shooting practice in favor of studying on wilder blocks, so she knew she'd be rusty from the lack. Even going without practice for a week was bad enough, but for several? But she hadn't had the heart for it, ever since Master Harlen had died in Fal'dara.

Resolutely, she walked to the field and saw that the targets were properly lined up. She made note to herself to try to find who took Harlen's place, since someone was caring for the equiptment out here.

With the rise of the sun, Pynk put all thoughts aside and became one with the arrow and target.
