Decadence Chemistry "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." He really did look sorry as well. "You know, I complain a lot about my father, but really all i want is to get along with him." He gave a meek smile. "That's really quite a talent you've got there though." He walked along with him into the CD section of the store, which opened up into the music depatment, where the actual instruments are sold, and where the girl Chidori seemed to be doing inventory. "Thank you..." He glanced back up at Chidori and looked hirriedly back. Somehow he just knew when she was near. Trying to distract himself from this strange phenomena, he looked over at the instraments with approval. He looked whistfully over in the general direction of the wind instraments. "When I was a kid... I remember that I always wanted to play the piccalo, but the violin is a family tradition, so that came first..."

"You have a strange choice of instruments..." He laughed. "I've always wanted to play the piano. I've never tried playing an instrument before."
Chidori noticed Yuki as well, that pull calling to her again. She sighed and checked that her sleves were long enough to cover her left wrist, where her name was scribbled diagonally in small ornamental letters. She sighed and finished inventory, then went behind the desk to start her homework while waiting for customers. She'd just pulled her book out of her bag and stopped. Even though the kid was obvioudly taking lessons here, he was on break and therefore, a customer himself. She stood again and went over. "Can I help you?" She brushed some hair from her eyes and adjusted her glasses again.

"Really? I started playing the piano as a base instrament along with the violin... That's how most people start - with the piano, I mean. I can also play pretty much any type of string instrament, although guitars and such are harder because they have no bows..." He was about to continue when he heard the girl's voice and turned. "Oh... no, thank you for asking, though." He smiled at her brightly. "I was just looking..."

Chidori nodded and smiled. "Okay! Well, if you need anything, just ask." She went back behind her desk to do her homework.
"Really? Hey, perhaps you could teach me?" He looked him over. "If your as good at the piano as you are at the violin." He smiled.

"Sure," he said, smiling slightly. Teaching... hmm... that would be an interesting experience. 'Would you like to hear me? Hoping, of course that I will be allowed to use the piano. Excuse me... miss? Could I possibly use your piano?"

Chidori looked up and nodded. "Of course, follow me." She led them around the corner to the piano room and led them to a piano, then stood back for observation.

He sat down on the bench and lifted the key cover before he began to play a slow song - one very different from the one he had played on the violin. His eyes were closed and he seemed to know the configuration of the keys exactly, for he never missed a note. The song livened and then came to a crashing and clumbsy halt, faltered, and then began again, slowly. it built up again before ending on a slightly whimsicle note.

Aiko simply stared in surprise, kitty ears forward and listening. Chidori as well seemed quite shocked. "Sensei said you were good, but I had no idea..." She whispered when he finished. Aiko fell into a chair. "Wow..." He looked humbled.

He blushed brightly, the red spreading across his face contradicting and complementing the green of his hair at the same time. "Well... I've been playing it a long time..." He rubbed the back of his head with a hand in an embarrased sort of way, his hand straying to the space on his head where a cat ear should have been, if he had still been a child.

Aiko noticed this and blushed. He hadn't really thought about it, but technically, Yuki was an adult. "So, um, how old are you Yuki?" He asked, hoping it sounded like he was still just interested in how talanted Yuki was musically. One of his own ears twitched and he gave a little nervous laugh.

"Seventeen," he said softly. The smile on his face didn't lessen, but seemed to falter slightly and become rather unneasy. He knew what the other was thinking. But it wasn't Yuki's fault, it wasn't!!! He'd had enough of that from his family...

Aiko noticed this and looked away. "I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have..." He looked back nervously. "So, what can you teach me?" He stood again and sat next to him on the bench, breaking the uneasiness easily enough and he placed his fingers lightly on the keys. "I know the form and erm, that your thumb starts with the key before the black key grouping of two. And how to switch fingers as well. I guess, I actually had a few lessons when I was little, I didn't think I remembered so much..." He smiled up at Yuki, all previous concerns forgotton.
Chidori simply looked dumfounded at the kids reaction to the question, but she gathered quickly enough what had made him uncomfortable. She decided to stay out of it again, and she rubbed her wrist nervously. She knew what this feeling was, but did the boy? She wandered off into her own thoughts, still just standing there, leaning against the wall, as if she were still listening.

"Could you play a few scales with me so I can see how fluid your playing is? And do you read music?" He smiled at Aiko, any unneasiness in his expression lost as he sank back into his joy of music.

"Read? No. That I can't do." He frowned and played a scale with both hands, easily enough. He seemed to have somewhat of a natural talant. "Was that alright?" He played it slow but steady and his rythm was god, nice and even.

"Yes. Especially for someone who hasn't played in a long time... So then I guess you'll be learning from sight, unless you want me to teach you to sight read, too."
